Am i misremembering there being a puzzle game where you had to guide a spinning baton thing through levels via motion controls on the GBA? I know there's a game like that on the GBA, i just thought it had motion controls, but maybe not...? And i can't remember the name either...
I'm genuinely sad that WW Twisted never got rereleased on anything. It's soooo good. And the subtle integration of rumble was absolutely perfect. To this day, it may well be the single best implementation of motion controls in any game, ever.
I feel like NOW is the time for a Tilt 'n' Tumble remake or sequel. I'm not even a huge fan of the game, but the Switch is perfect for it! Plus it could still work in docked or portable mode, and it'd be a great title for the Switch Lite.
My only guess as to why it was renamed Yoshi's Universal Gravitation is that in the UK you could describe someone as being "topsy turvy", basically being drunk. But I don't think "Universal Gravitation" was a good replacement.
Or the actual reason is that they just kept the Japanese name, and it's a reference to Newton's law of universal gravitation. I didn't know that second bit until 30 seconds ago.

As odd as it sounds, it's true, and it's also a compliment of sorts. Nintendo are a company of innovation; they're always trying to do new things that keep them unique. If something works, they constantly tweak it to make it the best it can be. However, this can also be said of their failures. They are able to learn from their mistakes and make necessary changes in order to give consumers a better product either in the long run or the next generation. They're persistent. I will admit though, that they aren't willing to do this with everything. Take the Switch's online service for example. It doesn't work nearly as well as it should, and they get plenty of criticism regarding it, yet they seem to have no intentions of fixing it. So, while they do a lot of things right, including a lot of things they initially get wrong, they still have their fair share of actual failures as well.
I hate them because its obvious that they dont actually play the game and there just following a script on what to say about the game. I get that bills have to be paid but it doesnt make it any less cringe worthy

Warioware Gold is a good "End of Life" 3DS game. It's a "best of" compilation of the rest of the series, with most of the included microgames being a remastered/redrawn version of microgames from all the games in the series, but primarily from the first 3 Warioware games.

I never found that weird, it's kind of sad Nintendo killed my favorite handheld of all time off so fast, just imagine the possibilities of all the games that could've been made.
"Yoshi's Universal Gravitation" makes it sound like Yoshi literally became God and is wreaking havoc among the universe by throwing people into the air and playing pool with the planets.
I have really fond memories of Warioware Twisted. I convinced my grandmother to buy it for me and got so excited about going to get it the next day that I could barely sleep. We were going on a road trip the day after getting the game. That's when I found out that motion control and cars don't mix very well. I remember still trying to play it but taking big turns in the car would mess me up occasionally. Good times.

You know what's amazing about these GBA tilt games that allow you to calibrate them? The fact that you can play them on DS, with a backlight *and* a headphone jack *while* charging.
Kirby Tilt N Tumble is not the only GBC game that can fit inside of an old GB console. Top Gear Pocket for GBC also had that little notch and it gave me a similar message when I tried to play it on my original Gameboy.
There was a version of Mario Tennis on the GBC that used a original GB style cartridge. That game would also show a warning that you need to use a GBC instead of a GB.
I had this game as a kid. It was kinda neat, but a little bit finnicky since the motion just used a set of mercury switches rather than a gyro or accelerometer.

In Finnbro 's video about 10 GBA homebrew games, he explained there was a motion sensor accesory for GBA named GBAccelerometer. It's only used by some homebrew games (the video only mentions Hazard Ball demo, I can't find any other). It's not official, was barely used, but as a curiosity is cool.
If I recall correctly, some Kirby games had a habit of appearing in the later stages of a console or handheld's life span. I don't know if that's still true, but I remember Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Super Star appearing relatively close to the end of the NES and SNES's life spans. That is something else we noticed researching for this video - all GBC Rumble games have notches for a brick game boy but only Pokemon Pinball and a golf game by Natsume can actually play on one. It's weird!
