I have to remind myself (a lot) that, despite the lack of holiness in so many of our Roman Catholic leaders, Jesus has set the Truth in stone and cannot be destroyed. It is more compassionate and beneficial to show how free-market capitalism can be successful here and then export/teach capitalism to impoverished nations where they can replicate it with their own people in their own lands rather than import and displace people from their homelands to come to America. A regulated process of immigration is beneficial for every nation, provided that people with the ability and commitment to assimilating can be admitted in a way that avoids social disruption and resource strains; anarchical immigration is dangerous not only to the receiving populace but also the immigrants who are at risk of exploitation, dependency, and other destructive behavior.

There was a slanderous book written several years ago about Pope Pius XII called "Hitler's Pope". It implied that Pope Pius XII was supportive or even an ally of the Hitler regime. It is completely untrue. In reality, Pope Pius XII was a hero of World War II. He helped save thousands of Jews in Italy and was praised by many Jewish leaders after the war. I have personally defended Pope Pus XII several times. However, after witnessing the pontificate of Pope Francis, I now realize that all Popes (like all regular people) are heavily influenced by the zeitgeist (the spirit) of the time they are living in. I now realize that it is quite possible that there was some ideological overlap between what Pius XII believed and the Nazi Party, even though he strongly opposed them. Similarly, Pope Francis is NOT a heretic or an apostate or an anti-Pope. This is just slander, in the same vein as "Hitler's Pope". The problem with Pope Francis is that he (like so many Boomer clergymen) has been heavily influenced by the propaganda of his generation: radical feminism, radical relativism, compassion for disgusting paraphilias, mistaking Christ for Buddha, the blind belief in progress, the disdain for the past and its traditions, etc.

I may be wrong about this, but I was under the impression that when the Church approves an apparition, she doesn't say that the apparition is certainly true, but rather that it is permitted for the faithful to make something like public devotion to the apparition.
If a spider can save Christmas😊 then I am sure that Jesus can save people in other faiths by rewarding the best elements within those faith traditions.
He said that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and nobody goes to the Father but through Him. We are not tasked with affirming other faiths or deciding who goes to heaven: we are to preach Christ and bring those people to the Church He founded.
Ah, the 'sin against synodality'-sounds like a fancy title for a theological soap opera! From my humble vantage point as a regular churchgoer, it seems to me that if you’re not genuinely walking the talk in this grand mission of synodality, then, darling, that’s a sin! You clever folks overthink it to the point of giggles, while missing this straightforward nugget of wisdom. Honestly, this chat is more of a letdown than a lukewarm cup of coffee!
1Corinthians6:19 do you not know that your bodies are temples of the HOLY SPIRIT who is in you, whom you have received from GOD?You are not your own; One GOD SPIRIT BODY WITHIN US FROM HIM 😇🕊🐉🤭
Catholicism is the preeminent way of salvation, and everyone who is saved is saved through the Church as the mystical body of Christ. But insofar as other religions can help one towards salvation in limited ways, those other religions can constitute ways to salvation even though ultimately the salvation they enable is from the Church (in hidden and sometimes mysterious ways). The Church, as in the mystical body of Christ, is the only means of salvation, yet that one salvation can be enabled by the paths present in other religions. Insofar as other religions are compatible with Catholicism, and in some respects, sometimes are more advanced than Catholicism (such as by considering capital punishment as immoral before Catholicism taught such), we can say that G-d has willed a variety of religious expressions. G-d doesn't abandon his children, his creatures made in His likeness. To the Muslim peoples, G-d can have given them special assistance in respect to part of the Islamic faith, so as to endorse certain parts of Islam. To bring those peoples in the present to Catholicism may have been too difficult, but G-d didn't leave them as orphans, some of his truth is in Islam. ================ There are two ways to view sin: personal (or true) sin, as explained in the Catechism, is when a person goes against their conscience freely in a deliberate or partially deliberate manner; things can also be loosely referred to as 'sin' when the MATERIAL violations of the moral law that are not true sin, are labelled as 'sin' (in such case, they are not true sin, but rather are produced by true sin). If you look at the liturgy and the bible, you may get confused. Instead, study the Catechism's teaching on sin. Even the Catechism, I think, sometimes makes use of the term 'sin' in a confusing manner. Example. Getting drunk is a 'sin' according to the loose sense of the term 'sin'. Does that mean that a person who gets drunk necessarily sins? No, because true sin is always where a person goes against their conscience with some level of consent. The person who gets drunk doesn't necessarily sin: their conscience may erroneously tell them to get drunk. But even though they don't truly and personally sin, the errors in their judgement, and/or their loss of freedom (perhaps due to alcoholism), that lead them to get drunk, is the RESULT of someone's, or several people's, sin that took place in the past. Sometimes people will say that such people 'sin' when getting drunk using the loose sense of sin, even though the people don't actually truly and personally sin, in the proper sense of the term 'sin'. All evil comes about from sin, whether it is our suffering in the present day caused by Adam and Eve's first disobedience all those years ago, whether it is the 'natural processes' death we see around us that is probably caused at least partly by the sin of demons, or whether it is evil caused by some other process of sin (e.g. perhaps unborn babies getting addicted to drugs due to their pregnant mothers consenting freely to evil through their abuse of drugs). That evil that comes about from sin, can seem to be sin, due to the evil being material violations of the moral law, but strictly speaking, the evil is the RESULT of sin, rather than true sin: it is referred to as 'sin', only when using the term 'sin' in a loose and analogous way. Only true sins are the subject matter of the Sacrament of Confession. ================ Donald Trump is pledging to fund IVF if he gets into office. IVF is an intrinsic evil. Donald Trump is pledging to fund an intrinsic evil. A vote for Donald Trump gives him permission to fund an intrinsic evil. Giving positive permission to fund an intrinsic evil, is seemingly also an intrinsic evil. Therefore, a vote for Donald Trump is seemingly an intrinsic evil. In contrast, religious freedom doesn't (seemingly) give positive permission to religious error. Rather, it seems, religious freedom is about giving civil freedom, to be free from penalty for holding religious views, some of which may be in error. It doesn't seem to be positive permission for religious error, but rather the absence of penalty for certain religious errors as well as for certain other religious views. In contrast, when you vote for Donald Trump, you're giving him a positive thumbs-up to fund IVF even when you're personally opposed, for the sake of other benefits you perceive you'll get from electing Donald Trump (but the end doesn't justify the means). A vote for Donald Trump seems to be an intrinsic evil. ================ St. John Paul in Evangelium Vitae §73, said that laws that give positive permission to abortion, are immoral. I think that perhaps you could explain it by saying that the State is at the service of the Common Good, and that the Common Good is not only hurt, but entirely collapses, when you allow citizens to murder other citizens/people. Perhaps because of such collapse, laws that encode a so-called "right to abortion", which is in effect a pretended right to murder an unborn child, are never morally valid. It is also to be pointed out that intrinsic evil can never be subject to contract. Just as it is impossible for there to be contracts for prostitution, it is impossible for there to be contracts for abortion, or any other intrinsic evil. As such, abortion also can never be commercialised. St. John Paul's teaching constitutes part of the Magisterium. As Catholics, we are instructed to submit our wills and intellects to the Magisterium (including the Authentic Magisterium), under at least the principle of being followers of the Catholic religion. Instead of killing unborn children, it may be morally licit to transplant unborn children into the wombs of women willing to bear such rejected and abandoned children, or even maybe into 'mechanical' wombs. ================ I try to use family comedies to induce better the "joy proper to the Lord's day" that the Church indicates we need to have, as something of a moral obligation, on Sundays and other Holy Days of Obligation.
Frankly you guys just don’t understand the level on which the Pop speeds. I do not recall any balanced analysis. Except Mr Royal. The Pope simply said there is one God with different paths. We as Catholics are aware or should be that our path is particularly in the fullness of revelation. But others have value too. Why is that so hard to take in without it being a threat to our faith?

Giving impression that everything is ok… the status of the seers is going to soar now…. One nice day when the Truth comes out that will be embarrassing….
I may be wrong about this, but I was under the impression that when the Church approves an apparition, she doesn't say that the apparition is certainly true, but rather that it is permitted for the faithful to make something like public devotion to the apparition.
Raymond looks he’s about to have a nervous breakdown because of Pope Francis and the Synod 😂😂😂
Stand with Ukraine.
CONFUSION will be P.Francis
sign of his legacy. Why? Is it incompetence, pride, leftist ideologies or all of the above?what is IT??? 😢
Why hasn't that nun been excommunicated? God help us. Literally, God help us!
Catholicism: bizarre and ridiculous
Perhaps the Synod is not of God.
What is going on? are some of you trying to popeexplian ?? I’m not a theologian and I see the apostasy clearly 😖
Heresy?
EWTV is being played like a fiddle...be careful, this is no joking matter.
Jorge Bergoglio is THE greatest, living apologist for Orthodoxy!

Vigano Italy is a beautiful town to have a synodal conference
Please dont turn EWTN into Life Site news ... Let's try to have the sentiments of Our Lady's heart.
1Corinthians6:19
do you not know that your bodies are temples of the HOLY SPIRIT who is in you, whom you have received from GOD?You are not your own;
One GOD SPIRIT BODY WITHIN US FROM HIM 😇🕊🐉🤭
Pops Bergoglio helped me become Eastern Orthodox
When is the Catholic people and clergy going actually stand up to this pope , he needs to be retired
😅😊😅😅😅😅😊
Define religion. Not every group worshiping anything is religion.

There are two ways to view sin: personal (or true) sin, as explained in the Catechism, is when a person goes against their conscience freely in a deliberate or partially deliberate manner; things can also be loosely referred to as 'sin' when the MATERIAL violations of the moral law that are not true sin, are labelled as 'sin' (in such case, they are not true sin, but rather are produced by true sin).

Donald Trump is pledging to fund IVF if he gets into office.

St.

I try to use family comedies to induce better the "joy proper to the Lord's day" that the Church indicates we need to have, as something of a moral obligation, on Sundays and other Holy Days of Obligation.
This sounds like the Pharisees reaction to Jesus!
The condition of Africa is a complete mess and Cardinals Sarah should take care of that before worrying about what goes on in Rome.
Yes, polygamy is is common there. There’s nothing wonderful about African Catholicism that we should copy.

Raymond's weekly installment of "Let's bash the Pope". You can count on it every week.
These people are so,predictable in their narrow rigid views , minds . I feel sorry for them . I do wish they would grow up !
As a practitioner of RC my whole life (84); it really disappoints me when I hear you constantly denigrate Pope Francis! Yes, I don’t always agree with his delivery, however, he has a good heart and is probably doing his best, after all - he is still a MAN! Don’t think I’ll live long enough to see another JP11, Benedict x16! That’s the reason we call them Saints. …. Remember God is ultimately in charge and control of our faith. God Bless 🇨🇦❤️🙏🇨🇦
I'm so tired of ewtn not backing the pope. Mother angelica would've shut this down a long time ago. Trust in Jesus. Stop with the slander and mistranslation of the pope. That's not Christian or catholic. Pope Benedict taught this same thing pope francis said. But use the correct language. The Bible talks about using different cultures to teach the faith. This is no different. Jesus is the truth. And any truth in any faiths is part of that truth. A truth can not be false. Plain and simple. Jesus isn't universalism. He has a universal Chruch. Very simple.
Arroyo seems to forget the Scripture “welcome the strangers in your midst for you were strangers in the land of Egypt “
Different topic.
All you do in this papal posse is complain.🤢
I think the pope has gone "WOKE"
Jorge started 'WOKE'.
