That is what every corrupt politicians care. Politicians often forgot that their job is to build the country, economy and have to place their people above themselves. Corrupt politicians always place themselves above the people and exploited them for personal gains.

There are also more than 300 thousand millionaires living in India. So while many do live in poverty and the country is poor overall there are still many rich ppl in India as well. I worked a lot to get out of that situation and currently own a self made independent house and a flat in one of the metros in India. India right now is on the cusp of an
economic boom similar to where China was
20 years ago when its economic miracle
began. India is smart enough to
know that should it ever find prosperity, it
would immediately become the target of
      US paranoia, xenophobia, and insecurity.
Japan found that out in the 1980s. China
is finding that out today. India is going to
find that out 20 years from now, when the
      US media/govt propaganda machine starts
smearing India with endless, ugly, racist
accusations. India is going to find itself
on the receiving end of US attempts to
      destabilize their government, harassment
by US warships off their coast, a trade
war to sabotage their economy, attempts
to sow discord among ethnic groups in
the country, attempts to sabotage India's
      relationship with other countries, and
