I advise not to travel to cities like Mumbai, they're not representative of India at all, they're more like a work hub. Also you're in the Muslim neighborhood, so even less representative. The heart of India is in it's villages, where 65% of it's 1.4 billion people live, much more family orientated. Each state has it's own variety of peoples, festivals, languages, and traditions. Festivals are especially beautiful, vibrant and lively with music, noise and huge crowds of women/girls with long flowing hair and bright, sparkling colourful clothes, dancing in unison. It's like a never ending sea of colours, their clothes make everywhere you look seem like a kaleidoscope 😊. Also, India can't be described as 'unusual' lol, it's how a lot of (probably most) countries around the world are and India alone is home to a 5th of the worlds people.
I visited Western India 2016 from USA. I saw on TV their Parliament. It seems to me that their Government would do so much better to help all the Citizens, if they would just speak one at a time, instead of shouting over one another in Parliament. Give them just 40 seconds to say what they want in silence !

Dharavi has an area of just over 2.39 square kilometres (0.92 sq mi; 590 acres)[3] and a population of about 1,000,000. With a population density of over 277,136/km2 (717,780/sq mi) Dharavi is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. The Dharavi slum was founded in 1884 during the British colonial era, and grew because the expulsion of factories and residents from the peninsular city centre by the colonial government and from the migration of rural Indians into urban Mumbai. For this reason, Dharavi is currently a highly diverse settlement religiously and ethnically. Dharavi has an active informal economy in which numerous household enterprises employ many of the slum residents-leather, textiles and pottery products are among the goods made inside Dharavi. The total annual turnover has been estimated at over US$1 billion.
Thank you for this fantastic Video.👍 They are great memories for me because I was in India in March/April 2024. Alone and with a backpack. In the video at 5.00 minutes you are right. The boys make black soap.😃
I work with two Indian guys, both highly qualified engineers. Apart from visiting family, neither of them want to go back and live there as they both say the heat, pollution, noise, corruption make it awful. India is a nuclear power, and has its own space programme yet it lets its own polpe live in these conditions.
"Is Dharavi safe to stay in? As Dharavi is a slum, there are no proper building structures and homes are usually built illegally. Its neighbouring area of Mahim, however, is very safe and nice to live in, with good residential buildings, stores, schools and places of worship."
Exploitative Resource Extraction: Foreign corporations could gain control of India’s natural resources, such as minerals, oil, and gas. They could then extract these resources at the lowest possible cost, using poor environmental practices that devastate local ecosystems. The wealth would flow back to the colonizing power, while India bears the brunt of environmental degradation.
I visited all of them, in different videos. The slum is one of them and it’s very interesting to my eyes. More India videos to watch later: ua-cam.com/play/PL4ZSmi3lHwZLqywNYn8u5uZoXdpTRonaJ.html&si=zY25xA3nc5UbceiK 🤩🇮🇳

Thanks for sharing, the streets look lively and lived on although i must admit im surprised that people can live and thrive in the chaos and filth.Really eye opening, thanks so much for sharing
India, or Bharat, has historically been rich in natural resources, including gold, agriculture, and energy. In nearly every sector, the country possessed an abundance of wealth. Unfortunately, this prosperity attracted many foreign powers, from the Romans and Portuguese / Western countries, to the Mughals and the British, who sought to exploit its richness and looted this country with every opportunity. Despite these challenges, the people of India have remained patient and continue to welcome others with open arms. We are a generous nation, with a strong desire to contribute to feeding the world. We are continually striving to improve ourselves. Remarkably, India is emerging to become the third-largest economy in the world in a very short period. However, given our large population, it will take some time to ensure a better standard of living for everyone.
We need to bring back Cononizer back to steal India stuff again. Foreign corporations could gain control of India’s natural resources, such as minerals, oil, and gas. They could then extract these resources at the lowest possible cost, using poor environmental practices that devastate local ecosystems. The wealth would flow back to the colonizing power, while India bears the brunt of environmental degradation.

It would be helpful if you described what the viewer is viewing vs asking viewers to describe what they’re viewing. Why not interact with the people you’re filming. Just a suggestion.
Hello. The challenge with India is that I often don’t fully understand what’s happening. Their culture is very different to mine, so most of the time I just can observe. I also enjoy when the local audience explains these things. I’ve tried interacting with locals, but they’re often shy around Westerners, especially when a camera is involved. Movies are like dreams, and it’s no coincidence that Bollywood (and Hollywood) creates such dreamlike films. By the way, I went to a cinema in India, and the whole experience was surreal! I had never seen such a massive theater, and everyone was clapping and singing along to all the songs and dances like crazy. A truly fabulous experience! People in India have a beautifully innocent quality, at least when they’re watching these movies 🤩🍿
Thank you for this video! I love watching what’s going on in the world especially on my VR headset, makes me feel like I’m right there! I did is not for everyone. Here in Canada Indians have a bad reputation because many still keep their customs and mentality and refuse to conform to a new country with different rules. Why for instance is there always garbage and filth lying around and piling up? People are used to it and therefore nobody bothers to clean. Also the municipalities have to enforce laws to keep the streets clean. I love Indian culture, the clothes, the music, the dancing, so rich. I really hope that in the future this country will get out of the poverty . I realize there are also many super rich Indians and other places in India that are clean and beautiful, I’ve wandered around in them in my VR set! Anyways just wanted to say I love India and the Indian people !❤️

Apakah di India tidak pernah hujan...bagai mana jika musim hujan di daerah ini
It rains like you never saw before. Check the rain season before traveling India 🇮🇳
Thank you for this fantastic Video.👍 They are great memories for me because I was in India in March/April 2024. Alone and with a backpack. In the video at 5.00 minutes you are right. The boys make black soap.😃
Thank you 🙂❤️
I work with two Indian guys, both highly qualified engineers. Apart from visiting family, neither of them want to go back and live there as they both say the heat, pollution, noise, corruption make it awful. India is a nuclear power, and has its own space programme yet it lets its own polpe live in these conditions.
India is a country in the continent of Asia.
Correctomundo
Could not imagine fighting a fire in that area
The conditions are deplorable but the people seem very clean
You are absolutely right
Yay, you posted a new walk! Will watch and enjoy this morning! 👍👍

Ketika kamu memasuki gang-gang sempit itu., sungguh dadaku jadi sesak😌
Tapi...
Terima kasih untuk videomu tentang India...
。♡‿♡。
Yes. You see some very painful and things sometimes. I had to remove some harsh scenes from the video, but to this day, I am still affected by them.
Just realized that Indians love to hear the sound of vehicle horns. The horn factory must be proud because it is really useful there.
Honking means I love you in India 🤪
I have been on a tour in northern India. I don’t have anything negative to say about it. I’d like to see the south like Kerela.
They seems hardworking.....should live in dignity and respect...
Only criminals and looters should be ashamed of themselves.
I've always wondered why they call India exotic. It's beyond poverty stricken.
I saw many poor nations. India is totally different in many aspects. Don't you see this place totally different to any other?
A Hindu beggar tried to steal shoes right off my feet. It happened in 1999.
The biggest problem would not be having your shoes stolen, but having to walk barefoot in India 😅
Horrible and right off your feet!
@@cooper7031😲😀 True!
@@WannaWalk Haha Yes😉
Man how did you recognise him to be a Hindu.
Its Dharavi.. I once went inside to meet a guy but got confused how to come out..!🙂
Do you see inside Dharavi? 😅

Very excellent video.Plz also visit the luxurious areas.
Thanks for watching! I might go there in the future!
I dont know why foreigners always visits slums.there are lot of places to visit and explore.they are really beautiful.
Because you Indians don't want to visit your slums and see there situations and improve their livelihood and Indians are busy in going abroad and see their infrastructure
Never mind high-rise buildings, six lanes highways or auto manufacturing industry or digital technology. This is real India.
High rise buildings six lane road technology don't exist in india because of British rule
Hello. India has many realities. What you mentioned is one, what this video shows is another. Both are pretty real 🙂
Thanks for sharing, the streets look lively and lived on although i must admit im surprised that people can live and thrive in the chaos and filth.Really eye opening, thanks so much for sharing

Очень интересная и завораживающая страна несмотря на всю жуть и ужасные антисанитарные условия.. Я бы с удовольствием посетила эту страну 😊
For the most part kids seem happy people seem friendly and busy just looks very dirty but with that many people most likely that's why ❤

I recommend you to visit north east india like manipur , nagaland, sikkim , and lay ladakh and kashmir, Shimla, andman and Nicobar islands too + south india like Kerala (specifically kochi ) , hampi and lakshadweep island too ! They are really beautiful! But i guess you are interested in slums and poor sides of india so enjoy being there 😂😂
Hello. I traveled most India, north to south, this is my third visit to the country and honestly, except a few rich neighbors or touristic places, all the country looks like this. It’s a huge country and I’ll check the places you recommend but Luxury spots or natural beauty usually don’t appeal to me or my audience-these chaotic and weird streets are fascinating 🙂❤️
@@WannaWalk okay I got it ! But if you haven't been to even one of the places I mentioned then you have not really travelled india ! Yeah I accept that Mumbai, delhi , and central India is pretty much like that but they are not tourist spots the places I mentioned please include "Shimla , Andaman and Nicobar islands, hampi ,kochi etc... too" are the actual tourist spots ! But it's okay if you like these places! Have a good time !
You are all taking people through only unhiegenic and poor parts of India. There are many beautiful and clean parts . show them too
Hello. I usually walk randomly, recording what I find different and interesting. I went to rich neighborhoods but they are boring with little to record. More videos to come soon! 🙂❤️
Most UA-camrs and vloggers show this wealthy side every week and most videos are about that "modern" or "rich" side of India. We have enough videos of the top 10%. Us foreigners want to see the reality of the working class of the big cities and the way they live. So thank you WannaWalk for showing us the reality of the working class with zero bias.
@@WannaWalkyou are going there knowingly, don't lie. You want to portray Indias image as a ugly country. You getting money from India's enemy countries government. Karma will get back to you with its full force. Don't worry

India is huge populated country in the whole world 🌎 from 2023 india has overtaken China also. After few years there will be accute shortages of food water, housing, medical facilities, it will be difficult to travel for day today jobs.

We could all learn a thing or two from this micro economy. I have great respect for these wonderful people.
It is truly fascinating to see how they create their own system!

This slum has around 1 million not 2 million. I have been here. The biggest slum in the world is in Karachi Packistan with around 2 million inhabitants
this is classed as a slum though , karachi is a city it might look like one though
Loved your video …fascinating !
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
This was amazing! every corner and alley was full of different trades and people all going about their work and not taking any notice of you recording them. I would be petrified of walking in that labyrinth of strangeness'. I think night time its just as busy as the day time. did you try the street food. very brave if you did sir!! Thankyou for sharing a fascinating video.
Many also only speak Hindi, which I don’t understand 🤩❤️
This video came across my feed so I decided to give it a look. Found it absolutely fascinating and interesting. Had to subscribe.

Gracias! 😊
Wow! This is real! Its so different from the make-believe bollywood movies.
Anyways just wanted to say I love India and the Indian people !❤️
Bellissimo ed interessante documentario grazie mille e ne hai di coraggio!
For the most part the children look well cared for and clean.
Lol, ya right.
they do! at 19:30 bunch of kids playing a board game and looking very happy.
Your video is amazing …you are a pro!!!!
Thanks a lot! 🙂❤️
India will always be India despite what Modi wants to project it to be. Reality is what you see from every angle of it.
Our Son has recently been to Mumbai on Business staying in on of the Hotel He said He has been treated like Royalty
True As long you have money, you are the king 🙂
Royalty 😂😂😂😂😂😂 he is making a joke 😂
I luv taking these walks with you, it shows me I have it not so bad compared to how they live, I enjoy your video's

I wonder how it looks inside one of the small homes. Everyone seems pretty content, especially the children.
I from Indonesia, comehere Pablo in Kebumen City, I like wanna Walk ❤
Hey brother! Thanks! I would love to visit your country!! 🤩❤️
One interesting thing is everyone has a job..yet big country cities complain there isnt any jobs..
It's kind of surreal how people treat scenarios like this as a synonym for happiness, they're not happy, they're just used to living like this (they're accommodated in this precariousness)

Did you ever experience going to a foreign country visiting their slum area and feel so happy and confident that you will be safe and nothing bad will happen to you 😂
Only in India and Thailand I felt that 🙂
* affirmation valid if you are a man
Very interesting and nice !
US Expats looking for a place to live for retirement with cheap cost of living should consider living in this slum called Dharavi in Mumbai! There will be no loneliness and plenty of socialization would be available! There will be no depression and plenty of friends to take care of you in old age!

Funny how you always select poorest places of India to film. While choosing best places for others.
India is Huge. I am sure you did not visit north or east or even south.
Your intentions were quite clear
All India is poor and dirty. Thats all you want to show.
Racist hypocrites. I hope one India rises so much and you never get chance to visit.ever again. I will make it to political positions and remove all the visas and permissions for alll of these " UA-camrs". India is too generous , letting this demons come in to mock her circumstances.
Excellent video thank you! I'd love to go to India to experience their culture. Is it ok for anyone to just enter the slum?
Hello! More than glad you like it. India is fabulous to experience something truly different! Please check video’s description, you’ll find a professional local guide that will show you everything and it’s not expensive. I don’t recommend you to enter alone. I didn’t have any problem anyway! Are the lower income people as spiritual minded as their heritage represents or is survival so difficult that they have so many daily concerns ? OM Shanti OM

Nope , everybody needs money . Spirituality is all for rich people and rich society where you don't have to worry about your daily needs
@@supersayaaain Thank You for the reply.
Как можно ходить по таким местам! Ужас! Это же страшно!

THEY ARE NOT CURIOUS, THEY ARE FRIENDLY.
Both. They ask you many things in a very direct way. Like random people coming to you and asking: how much do you earn a month? They love to know how we see their country and why you visit it.
Ein unglaublich hartes Leben aber scheinbar hat der religiöse Hintergrund eine sehr tiefgreifende Wirkung auf die Menschen. Aber es ist auch ein Bild für die Intelligenz der Menschen wie sie in so einer Welt überleben
