Bought this cue two weeks ago because i wanted a cue that i could leave in the car and not worry about warping. What a pleasant surprise. The fit and finish is absolutely beautiful. The leather wrap is American buffalo hide. It plays as good as my $750 Lucasi Hybrid. I paid $254 plus tax. I think it was a great deal and I'm not easily impressed.
Awesome and it definitely is.. I had a Lucasi Pinnacle Custom Hybrid it was $1,400 it was good but this cue beats it for less than half the price.. You can’t be mad at that. Did you change the tip?
I did order a KONLLEN Rainbow Billiards Tip with Clear soft for a replacement tip. Like you, after playing with it for a week, the original tip is doing fine. I'll replace it in a couple of months with the Konllen tip. Thanks again for the review.
Awesome relatable review. Been driving myself nuts listening to confusing “professional “ reviews. I appreciate the details you addressed through user friendly terms! You have made my decision very easy 😉
USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CUE I got this cue because I wanted a secondary cue not as expensive as my main one, and because in this video and the comments it was very praised. Now that I have adjusted to my taste and tested it for enough time I would like to give my honest feeling about it because I thought there was to much hype in this video and in the comments about it. Notice that it has become a little more expensive today and if you don't live in the USA you have to pay the shipping plus the import taxes, so at the end the final price was around 360 €. OK First thing first : I highly recommend to put a nice tip on it as soon as you get it and you will release all it's potential (trust me, it deserves a high quality tip). In my case I also adjusted the weight to 18,7 oz because I personally prefer lighter cues as they give you a better acceleration (but that's just personal). I'm going to compare it with my main cue, the one that I train daily and play in tournaments with. The shaft that I use is a JFLOWERS SMO (funny that it was mentioned on the video) that is considered as one of the highest carbon shafts in the actual market. I won't compare it with the Predator Revo and Cuetec Cynergy that are also mentioned in the video because I've never used them more than a couple of matches with friends that own them, so I can't have a solid experience and opinion about them. For the comparison let's say that the JFLOWERS SMO has 10/10 in each category, not to say that it's perfect but just to give a better understanding of the ratings for the Cuedesg: 1) In terms of look, the carbon shaft is bright and well finished, no issues, it deserves a solid 9/10. 2) The construction is perfect, smooth radial pin, the joint sits perfectly, feels like a one piece cue with great feedback. 10/10. 3) The feeling in the hand of the Cuedesg is really smooth and comfortable, I can't tell that it doesn't feel as smooth as my SMO, but it is considerably thicker. It's a pro tapper shaft but soon it becomes just a tiny bit conical, while the SMO has a very long and straight pro tapper that gives you exactly the same diameter even with you play with very long bridges. I give Cuedesg 8,5/10. 4) It has power, but to release it it really needs a high end tip. Once you have it you got a great action on the cueball without effort. Compared to the high end SMO you have slightly less power but not so much difference so I still give it 9/10. 5) The deflection is also influenced by the tip (yes, a bad tip can add deflection) so I insist that it needs to be replaced asap. The shaft is bluffing, really low deflection. The J Flowers SMO is actually the lowest deflection in the market and I can switch shafts during a game and keep playing without even noticing if I need to adjust anything. It just swerves a little bit more when you have to elevate the cue, but even with the SMO those are difficult shots. 9/10.
6) I'm not really concerned about the sound of the shafts but for some players it's important, so I will define the sound of the Cuedesg as "bright and tinking" where the SMO would be more "low and dry". 8/10. So let's see the final conclusions: The Cuedesg is overall a great cue and with just few little adjustments it performs way over it's price (I'm talking about the european price of 360 €). You can trust it even on an important game and develop a high quality play for sure. For me it doesn't outclass the SMO but we are talking about a cue that costs more than two times the price of the Cuedesg and the advantages of the SMO are very subtle things that maybe some players don't even care about. If you think about buying it, go for it. It's a real deal. Thanks for reading this review. Keep in mind that I was trying to be as honest as possible for helping other players and give them a deeper understanding of the differences between this cue and a professional cue. At he begining I thought that when you hear something that is to good to be true, probably it isn't... But it's definitely a very very nice cue :)
I agree, I bought two of the CUEDESG cues with no wrap for $199 each. I shoot with one at home and take one out to the pool hall. Best cue per dollar ratio. Played better than the McDermott Defy shaft I bought for $300.
I’m glad you like it, I have to admit I didn’t want to like it at first but for less than $200 I don’t think anyone can beat that, plus popular names are charging a lot more for a lot less makes it an even sweeter deal 🍭 Did you change the tip?
Does the shaft have a finish like Cuetec/ Revo? The Rhino per say is noisy across the bridge hand and the Revo/ Cuetec as more sleek and don’t make a ton of noise. Refer to Karl Boyes Temu review.
Clicked on this outta curiosity...I'm gonna be traveling overseas n I was looking for an inexpensive cue to take. This could work at less than the price of a back-up shaft! My Revo won't get jealous n I can hit the Philippines with a decent cue! Sweet

One thing I have found with Chinese branded anything, is the quality control. Put the shaft on rollers to confirm concentricity and build quality. Some might be more out of round than others. I have Jflowers, rhino, Yfen, and jianying. But I have yet to see anything glaringly bad about these shafts. Why pay $500 when you can pay $150 - $200.
Cool vid man.. looks like it plays Ok as well. I went from Revo to Cynergy to another level..... I picked up 2 custom Hsunami keilwood shafts from Richard Hsu. Without a doubt the best shafts I have ever hit with and I have played with hundreds of cue / shaft combos.
I think a good cue will help you play better than a bad cue.. Effren can play pool with a broomstick, I don’t think 99% of us could beat him even if he played with one hand behind his back. Which doesn’t mean we shouldn’t use 2 hands
@@PoolNerdsTV Of course a good cue would help but a good cue does not necessarily mean expensive. Just concentrate on the skill set and not poking on expensive cues. It does not do magic. Efren does his magic because he was playing the game since he was 5 years old.
I use a carbon shaft called Yfen. Just because it's not a popular name doesn't mean it won't perform. Most of the carbon blanks that companies use here are Chinese and then marked up to meet their financial needs. Why pay the middle man?
The reason the Predator, Jacoby, Rhino, Cuetec, etc shafts all work well and look identical is because they are all made by the same company. All they do is change the logo on the laser that marks the logo as they go along. Tips and ferrules may be different because said brand requested that change, but almost all of them are made by the same company.
Another great video. Thx. Per your suggestion, I bought Byrne’s pool book ( 350 moves ). While it’s a fantastic book it’s a little a little above my pay grade. As a complete newbie I was looking for more basic information but I’ll definitely use it when I get better.
Thank you! 350 shots starts off with some of the basics, if you don’t skip chapters but if it’s to advanced I would suggest 99 critical shots, it will be more beginner friendly.. Keep in mind you’re probably going to suck the 1st time you do anything and there’s nothing easy about learning pool… There’s a saying “A proficiency at billiards is a sign of a misspent youth”
@@PoolNerdsTV - Thanks. I’ll check out the other book. Don’t get me wrong … I really enjoy Byrne’s book but it’s like … damn, let me make sure I can make all the ‘easy’ shots first.

@@PoolNerdsTV Of course a good cue would help but a good cue does not necessarily mean expensive. Just concentrate on the skill set and not poking on expensive cues. It does not do magic. Efren does his magic because he was playing the game since he was 5 years old.
Is not the cue. Is the shooter 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
damn this same model cue on Amazon Australia is $700 plus bucks
@@OznerolPool say word!?
I think on Amazon it says the leather is buffalo.
You don't really need to make videos about equipment alone. You can make any pool related videos.

What company is it?
@@BCBbaseballplayer most if not all the carbon fiber for these is coming out of China from a company called Carbonoid.
@@shaneparker5522 just seeing this and checked out their site… it’s interesting for sure - is there proof about it?
Sell off everything else. And buy a backup, you're set.
Lol
