Chef Alvin doesn't mess around. He is so respectable; despite how strict his criticisms portrays him.
The fact that he respected not only their plates, but their culture, shows how passionate of a chef he really is.
Also, Alvin's constant disappointed father act to Eric is great lol
He's not always disappointed; but he definitely had a hand in making Eric determined to win Masterchef Canada.
You see the difference in cultures there: while westerners want you to win, they go easy on you; but when Asians want you to win, they push you harder than anyone else
not to mention how he later offered eric to cook for his OWN restaurant!

I dont know if you didn't know, but when you are under pressure and have to hurry up, talking is kinda hard in those circumstances. It's called psychology. When you're focusing on one thing, you don't mind about the other. Just like when someone tells you to move your arms in different directions while doing something else

Chef alvin is probably one of my favorite judges because of how humble he is and how cultured he is. When its time to eat with his hands he does it. He uses chopsticks for certian dishes. He knows when to recognize and when to put people in their place. It has nothing to do with he thinks he is better but he will not tolerate disrespect from contestants. I'm from the USA so our version is OVER DRAMATIC because people here are over dramatic. So it is nice to see how everyone is like in their country
At least you showed the whole thing and who won. I hate when you think that we are all in Canada or america, and can watch the show in full. We cannot not, as not shown in the UK or other Countries.
