San Diego Police evacuated residents who live along the ridge near Mira Montana Drive and Boca Raton Street while crews worked to control the fire along the canyon near Del Mar Heights on Tuesday afternoon.

As expected, the fact that this was one of the very very few remaining undisturbed places with a mix of coastal chaparral and rare Torrey Pines trees in the county is completely left out of any consideration. This was a precious nature resource that was held dearly by more people than just those who live around there. A living ecosystem isn't "fuel". (and please, find the idiots with their drones that prevent more water & retardant drops, and punish them to the full extend of the law.)
