I have to say, I’ve dropped them in the toilet once, dropped them on the floor multiple times to the point where the plastic is broken apart and held with tape. Both speaker screens are gone. The case doesn’t have a hinge anymore. They still charge perfect, sound just fine, and both buttons work just fine. Impressive for the cheaper earbuds for sure.
Hello fan from before the adpocalypse here I've been asking you to cover a certain case it would belong in one of these type of not too many people have covered it and also its involving a indigenous persons so that could be another reason it's not covered often but it is mysterious. On their way home they got into a car accident and it gets really mysterious from there the young girl who was the cousin is the only survivor and what she says makes it only more mysterious plus there was sightings of one of the persons after they supposedly were dead you got to cover this case please

The thing is, they had the ability to test for different types of poisons by that time in history. They had the bottle, even if the body was entirely skeletonized. Arsenic, strychnine, mercury, cyanide - these and other poisons could be detected with the scientific methods of the era. It makes me wonder if the ‘bottle of poison’ is a made-up factoid added later. Both bc it just sounds so cartoonish, and bc you’d think they’d have run tests on it, if it was actually there.

Hearing about the cyclist case and how it was likely someone who didn’t really have any family or friends to report them missing just reminds me about how there’s probably so many bodies out there, bodies that were never discovered and disappearances that were never reported all because they didn’t have any family. Thinking about how those people might never be found or have any form of justice.
Just look at how many John/Jane doe bodies remain unclaimed and unidentified! Victims sometimes can’t even be identified after the killer has been caught (I believe the “gameshow killer” and possibly the “truck stop killer” both had/have stacks of victim photos, with many of them never being identified/reported missing and still remain unknown to this day). It’s definitely a heartbreaking realization that there are so many nameless, faceless people, that die/disappear and will likely never receive proper justice (or funerals). Many of them likely wanted the end of their life to never be known and didn’t want a “proper burial” - but I would bet that most of them didn’t want it to be that way. 💔 It’s especially eerie to think about how many “living phantoms” exist around us, in our modern era- when it feels like everything and everyone is connected, documented and kept track of constantly. It almost seems unfathomable that someone could simply die/disappear and not have it be noticed/reported. 😢
Even bodies that are recovered frequently end up lost to obscurity if there's no one to pay the fee for their remains to be released from the coroner's office.
I can't imagine how much guilt Brandon's dad has, telling him to walk to the lights instead of staying by the car. Not his fault in the slightest but knowing that could've been the impetus for his disappearance must weigh heavy.

I've followed the Brandon Swanson case for some time now, and I can't help but think his remains will be found somewhere out in those acres and acres of cornfields one day. I think he was confused as to his location so could have been referencing a different town's lights than the ones his dad was referring to. This would result in Brandon being outside the assumed search area. I also feel like an unmarked, abandoned test well is more likely than foul play. You'd have to be a well organized serial killer to be lying in wait in the middle of no wheresville in a random cornfield. Falling or sliding into an old well would certainly solicit an Oh shit from me.
Around here farmers are plowing the fields once or twice a year, beginning and end of harvest usually. The soil is so molested that if remains were in a field they would just get mixed into the soil. The other think is he went missing during a time when crops where either tiny or just barely up. He would have been seein if people properly scoured the fields. Mostly likely is he fell in the yellow medicine or foul play.

The whole "someone lurking in the shadows" theory is the most ridiculous one- if someone is waiting for a victim, they're going tonwait somewhere where there's a reasonable chance that someone will walk by. An abandoned farm along a back highway? There's a hundred places like that in those rural "in between towns" areas where people don't walk through for years. And no one would have any reason to think a person would come along for any reason, not even by accident. Not only that but even if someone snuck up on him in the middle of a big ass field without him noticing, he may have cursed and dropped his phone but dropping it in dirt or fallow grass wouldn't have broken it and his parents still would have heard something, even if they couldn't make it out. However an abandoned farm would also have an abandoned well and even one they'd been using regularly, if the farm had been abandoned a good while, the cap could have rotted out or if concrete, could have crumbled and would have been overgrown. There'd be nothing marking it and you could be one second walking and the next second falling or even already deep in the earth. And if it was wet or still had water, that would kill the phone immediately. So watch your step in old fields where you know homesteads used to be. Some were less responsible about capping theirs or just left open test wells because, in their theory, they weren't that big but after years, the hole sometimes gets bigger and as we've learned, the human body can slide quite easily down incredibly small spaces you'd never think it could.
I grew up in the countryside and my first thought was of a well too. A "oh shit" is pretty common when you lose balance. When you realise where you are, you are already deep down, probably unconscious if not dead. Tbh the idea of someone dying alone after days in there it's terrifying. If something happened I hope it was quick, at least. Also yes, in some areas all the roads are pretty much the same so it's all familiar even if it's a new route.
Yeah, given he had very poor vision and was stumbling about in the dark in a rural area it's pretty obvious he most likely fell into a well/shaft/ditch/hole or the like. But people love their boogeymen fantasies. He should really have stayed with his car until morning, someone with vision problems and who has been drinking should not be going cross-country in the dark.

as someone who's lived in rural america, it is REALLY common to have old wells or cesspits that aren't on record. i think it's most likely that brandon fell into one of these and it could explain why dogs couldn't find him.
I live maybe 45 minutes from where Brandon Swanson went missing. It is very possible he fell into a well. Farm houses are often abandoned or torn down and wells are just covered with dirt. Unfortunately with how rural the area is, it's almost impossible to even figure out where to start. We will never give up hope that his parents finally have answers. Just like with Jacob wetterling, we keep porch lights on to help Brandon find his way home in hopes he's still alive.

I was reading that they did a search for him covering both the land and the Yellow Medicine River, the latter of which some speculated that Swanson might have fallen into and drowned. Search dogs actually picked up his scent on a trail near the river, which they followed to the water and which lead them to the other side of the river (lending credence to the idea that he had, at some point, fallen in), after which they continued north along the riverbank, towards the Yellow Medicine County line, where the trail suddenly ended. The search dogs also picked up the scent of human remains a few times near Mud Creek, north of Porter. So I think it’s very possible he fell into a body of water he did not see during the dead of the night and that’s why his body has never been found. He was legally blind in his left eye and left his glasses in his car for some strange reason - so that would’ve made it difficult for him to scout the rural terrain he was in accurately and accidentally fell into something he did not see.
Literally another Brandon (Lawson) that got lost back in 2013 same exact way weird phone call everything the same that one was solved in 2022 more than likely thats what happened to this guy
But how? The cops found his car pretty fast and so they knew what area he was in within a day and so idk how he could have gotten that far ahead and never found despite massive searches. He also said he could clearly see lights how do you get that lost following lights

On the Brandon Swanson case, I don't understand why he didn't just stay with his car. It sounds as if his car was easily found during the daylight so why get out and start walking in the dark? I understand his Dad had suggested he walk towards the lights of town but he didn't seem to know where he was. Maybe it's because I'm a woman but the idea of walking in the dark, whether it be alongside the road or through fields, in an unfamiliar area has doom written all over it in my eyes. It's an unfortunate & sad case. Alive or not, I hope this family will somehow find some clues that will help them determine what happened to this young man and offer them resolution and a path towards closure.
Very good point. I'd have stayed with the car 100%. Stay on the road, stay on the phone, ask a passerby where the location is. It would never occur to me to go wandering through fields.
I'm sure his dad really regrets telling him to walk to the town. When lost it's always better to wait in the same area and wait for help. His parents were on their way to him, so there was no reason for Brandon to leave his vehicle. If he had just stayed in with the doors locked, he'd've been fine ): Especially if his eyesight was impaired he shouldn't've been walking alone in an unfamiliar area at night. It's so sad ):
We’re I talking to my parents I’d have probably walked to, the thing is especially for the parents their kid is telling them he crashed the car but basically has no idea where he is which under the circumstances is weird. I assume the thought of you can see lights walk to them and we will def meet because I’m also going to where I think you are. Idk people in the moment usually aren’t gonna just accept that they are gonna sit with the car all night when where your going towards is lights it’s not exactly mountaineering. The last thing I’d expect is to get murdered it’s just statistically a very very low probability especially totally random like that by happenstance, but I don’t see how he got so lost he died or drowned they would have found something of his even if animals got to his body
If Ada had just left town for a long time and then came home, she would have continued to use money from her account. Someone put money in her account to get someone to go back to her house and find that body. I don't think it was her but someone came up with a good way to make another body disappear.

Re: the Brandon case - Old farmsteads often have cess pits where the outhouses used to be that get covered over instead of filled in. I don't know if they even appear on survey maps. If he was crossing one of these abandoned farms at night he could have fallen down one of these or an old well before he even knew it was there. In a fallow overgrown field, you'd almost have to fall in on top of him to find the hole.

Reminds me of something that happened to me in Maui, Hawaii in 2021. Was visiting Makawao, a small town in the upland, on the way back from Haleakala. Walked around to get lunch and look. It’s hot and humid, everyone is wearing as little as possible. These two guys were local and walking in front of us. Older Boomer guy is complaining to his friend about how this town has also become about the tourism, too many tourists and girls wandering around. And they’re all skimpy dressers, no pride, etc. He was pretty much sl0t-shaming. His friend said, “calm down Gary, it‘s a million degrees out.” Later that vacation, I was walking down the road next to a cane field, it started to rain. A guy with local plates pulled over and asked if I wanted a ride (apparently this is more common in Hawaii, I had been safely offered a ride on a previous trip, when I accidentally got too close to a military installation while hiking). But I got bad vibes and recognized him as Gary from a few days prior. I said no thank you and cut through the field to go another way. Like I said. Bad vibes. In fall 2022, I saw on an unsolved mysteries Forum that Gary from Makawao was arrested for SAing and then unaliving a teenage girl in 1982 in California. He left for Hawaii afterwards.
I live in the region of the second case, in France. This incident took place only a hundred kilometers away from where I live and made the headlines for a few days. The story even took a darker turn: it is believed that the victim wasn't that much of an old secluded woman, but rather a 40 to 60 years old lady... her body has not been found as of 2023, nor her identity. There are some other small details I won't tell here in a UA-cam comment. But, to let you know guys... "Luc" runs free today: he has been released before Christmas 2022, with the only legal obligation to come to the local police once in a week to state that he is still around in the region and has not ran away.
I think the one thing that can be somewhat safely assumed with the first case is the deposits and the skeleton were linked in some capacity. Likely whoever did the deposits put the body there. Doesn't mean that it was Ada's body or she actually had anything to do with it though.

Realistically, it is more likely that Brandon fell into a well or cess pit (than any of the other theories). Here's why: 1. It would be harder to track his scent if his corpse eventually ended up underground, hence why cadaver dogs have a scent trail but have yet to locate any actual remains. His scent could be obscured/diluted by the water 2. Wells and cess pits *are commonly* found in rural areas, especially around older farms or agricultural land. Other theories are banking on the improbable: random murderers camping out in the dark country side waiting for victims and mountain lions, for example, are UNCOMMON. Statistical likelihood favors the "falling into a hole" theory. 3. Despite the common presence of these wells or pits, their location is not consistently mapped or noted. It would make sense that such holes are not easily investigated (or even known) as potentially locations of his body. 4. "Oh shit!" is definitely an appropriate response to falling. However, if he had been surprised by the presence of another person (i.e murderer) or a wild animal, the phone, *which was still on the call at this time* , would have picked up other noises: He might've said "Who are you?" Or the parents might've heard an unknown voice. Or screams of agony would've been heard as he was attacked by a predator or murderer. If he had simply fallen in a hole, though, he might've fallen IN but dropped his phone on the outside of the well. Hence why the parents heard only silence after the "Oh shit!" Ultimately, I think if it were possible for investigators to use Ground Penetrating Radar, they might have a better chance of locating these wells/pits, and therefore furthering their investigation. Unfortunately, this mechanism is quite costly at roughly $14k for basic level equipment. Unless someone knows of a better means of locating obscure, possibly overgrown, holes in the ground....? *ETA: Of course! Minnesota Department of Health has information pertaining to the location and type of various wells throughout the state, including unverified wells! I do not know if they have ever been contacted about using or assessing this data in relation to this case, but it could have been a useful tool for the investigation. Public health comin in clutch again*
that sounds like the most likely explanation but if he fell into a hole suddenly, you wouldnt think he would have had time to say anything, or at least not audibly into the phone. i guess he could have shouted it into the phone as he was falling/slipping?

It would also be why the phone didn't fall with him. I know I've dropped or tossed things while trying to catch myself.

I always believe that the "oh shit" they heard was not where he died, it's where he lost his phone. It could have fallen into a river, the battery could have died, or it could have been dropped and he never could find it again. Everyone always assumes he never answered again because he 'suddenly died right there spontaneously' and maybe that is what happened, but it might be what's causing this case to go unsolved. It's much more likely to me that something happened to his phone and he was forced to go on without it. Which means we have no idea where he is, yes, but that's likely /why/ we have no idea where he is.

That 'ding' would only tell where he dropped his phone ( IF he dropped his phone at all somewhere ) not necessarily where his last movements were.

Back then, in a rural place like that, I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t able to pull but the most general ping of his last location. Or it could be that it pinged last a few hours prior, so they have none from that specific area. It doesn’t just constantly pull up pings if you know how this stuff works.
I think it’s possible brandon ended up falling into something. Dropping his phone in the process and being unable to physically reach it. Being in the dark with bad eyes he wouldn’t have been able to see anything like that. So it matches that he might have fallen into the River. With it being dark he probably wouldn’t have been able to see well enough to get out. But apparently he did, and kept walking. Very strange

Brandon Swanson will always be something I'll look into no matter how much time goes by. There was another Brandon Lawson who disappeared around the same time and under extremely similar circumstances (car trouble, on the phone with family) and I will always have both in my heart and always pray one day their families will find peace. Despite his family urging farmers near where Brandon Lawson went missing there were still some that would not allow their property to be searched. Just this year remains of clothing that matched his were found and his family has since put up a memorial near the area. If Brandon Swanson happened across a farmers property who felt he may have been up to no good I can't help but wonder if the two missing boys were both killed by trigger happy farmers and then disposed of as to not be found responsible. I can only wonder.

The Brandon Swanson case haunts me. I am so heart broken for his mother and father, I really hope they can get some answers and closure as to what happened to him. They deserve peace, because being a parent myself, I know for certain if I was in their shoes I would NEVER stop looking for my son. I would never be able to sleep peacefully knowing my son was still out there.
Would you tell your child to get out of their vehicle and WALK in the dark towards some distant lights when you have no clue where they are or what the lights are? Because that is exactly what these parents did. What kind of parents do something like that? You tell that person to STAY IN THE CAR WHERE THEY HAVE SOME SHELTER and WAIT. These parents made the situation far more dangerous.

Recommendation from recent events: in Oregon a young man named Miles Stanton disappeared this past fall. He was last seen on camera at a gas station. His body was found about 5 weeks later and the cops are being shady about it. I would be curious if you could dig up some details.
I’ve been following both the Brandon Swanson story and the Brandon Lawson story for years. I believe the truth is not so mysterious. Brandon believed that he had crashed his car off a road near the town of Lynd. His parents drove out to pick him up, but he was not there. Brandon seemed to think it was their mistake, but it was not. Frustrated, he started walking through a field towards what he believed, were the lights of the town of Lynd. However, his cell phone records showed he had been near Porter which is 25 miles away from Lynd. His car was found on a road near Taunton when I map it, Lynd and Taunton, are about 20 miles apart. As his phone was last pinged near Porter, that means that he had been walking north from Taunton in the wrong direction of Lynd, which was south. The actual phone was never found. After it went dead following his last known words, “oh shit “ His parents stated that they had called it repeatedly afterwards and it had been ringing, unanswered. Later, it stopped ringing altogether, implying that the battery was dead. I’m not sure how easy it was to track a phone that was turned off 15 years ago (2008)? Brandon had bad eyesight, it was night, he had been drinking, and he may have been much more drunk than he sounded to his parents because he was certainly disoriented. Maybe he had actually hit his head when he crashed his car and just hadn’t told them so that they wouldn’t freak out? He could have had a brain bleed which could have caused him more confusion and/or caused him to lose consciousness later. I am completely sure that if somebody had “run him of the road and was chasing him” that would’ve come up on his phone call to his parents lol. He was on the phone to his parents for a total of 47 minutes. He was in a field and nowhere near a road and walking towards the lights of someplace he thought was the town of Lynd, but was probably the town of Porter. Occam's Razor would say the likelihood was that he fell down an abandoned well or something like that. If that happened, he could’ve been knocked, unconscious, or killed immediately. His phone probably went with him, but wasn’t necessarily broken and eventually ran out of batteries. If we separate the less likely “stranger than fiction“ possibilities. The chance that he fell into some sort of shaft or well is far more likely than being kidnapped in a place, like Porter, Minnesota, and trafficked and tortured, et cetera et cetera.
My guess, being from an area similar to where he vanished? I think he decided to cut through a cornfield while walking and, being half blind and a college kid with no experience on farmland, didn't realize how soft or uneven the ground in a cornfield can be. He may have caught his leg wrong or tripped on something and knocked himself unconscious, or even been attacked by an animal, and either died right then or later on if he was unable to move. Dropping his phone would have made it hard to find in a cornfield, especially if it landed face down so the light would be covered whenever it rang, even moreso if he was too injured to move. He has glasses and may have even lost those in the fall. So on top of being half blind, potentially having lost his glasses, and having lost his phone AND being injured, he'd have died from exposure, blood loss, or dehydration depending on the weather. Maybe even suffocation if he'd been knocked unconscious, face down, in soft farm mud if it had been wet enough. His body would have then been pulverized and ground up when the corn was harvested, leaving very little trace. Any bits of him from there would have been eaten by birds and scavengers (they descend after a field is harvested, they want the critters it churns up), his clothes either unrecognizable as cloth, mixed in with ground corn, or buried in the soil.
Regarding the last case, Brandon most likely fell into something rather than him being murdered. I feel that he would have said something other than oh sh** if he was being murdered or kidnapped.
We have our own set of towns and cities with rude names here in the States, though I can’t remember any of them off the top of my head, they are indeed real places last I checked. 😜
Ada leaving an open copy of Romeo and Juliet popped back into my mind when the poison bottle was found next to the skeleton that may or may not be hers. Maybe her heart was broken and she ended her life like those characters. Or maybe she wanted everyone to think she did.

Story 1- Its strange that a potentially male skeleton showed up after someone started depositing money in Ada's bank account (you would think a skeleton would show up after someone started taking out money). I wonder if the skeleton belonged to someone who tried to harm Ada. Story 3- The police were remarkably callous and incompetent when the family first reached out.

To me it sounds Brandon Swanson fell into an abandoned well. If he was cutting through fields, in the dark, its very possible he fell into a lightly covered old well. You'd be surprised how many properties have old unused wells just covered by a piece of plywood, or left open.

What happened between him leaving and his call to his parents? Why did the drive take him so long?
somewhere, people suggested that he took some gravel dirt roads instead of the highway because he was afraid of police testing on the main road. would explain why he thought he'd be somewhere near lynd when his car ultimately was found way up north. he didn't know the dirt roads and possibly got off course.

Apparently the area where Brandon disappeared had a number of old wells on it. It's entirely possible that he fell into a disused well. It was dark, and if the top of the well was covered with leaves and grass, he wouldn't have seen it, and wouldn't have been aware of it until he stepped into nothing. That would explain him yelling out "sh *t", and his phone going dead since it could have broken in the fall. An old well could potentially be very deep, possibly too deep for the cadaver dogs to detect him.
No way dogs can literally smell cancer cells and smell your blood sugar. Their noses are fucking insane they’d have no problem picking up his stank ass corpse rotting in some hole unless it was miles deep (and even then they would probably still find it) The case makes no sense we are missing some key detail.
@@ririme9934 I know, it really is… and I know everyone is just latching on to the abandoned well/ cess hole theory, and normally I could roll with that, but it actually just doesn’t make sense in this case. Think about it, they know where his car is, and they know exactly how long he was walking before dropping the phone. And the phone was almost certainly just dropped, considering signal wasn’t lost and phone wasn’t hung up, it was just silent on the end. So you can literally use math to draw up a 360 radius covering EXACTLY every square inch of that land that he COULD have walked in that time. And with a big search party, which they had, you could actually physically walk over every piece of land that he could have possibly walked over, starting at his car. So the fact they didn’t find any gaping hole where a fully body could just stroll into and become trapped inside, that shows you that this isn’t what happened. Then, the river just would be nearly impossible that his body doesn’t wash onto shore somewhere. In MASSIVE rivers where they have no idea where someone’s body even went in, occasionally they’ve had scenarios where something weird happens to the body and they can’t find it. But in a small river like this one, it’s highly unlikely. Plus, his parents said he was a good swimmer, and the rapids weren’t rushing at all according to police. Just a steady flow. So the only explanation that would support drowning would be that he randomly walked off a huge drop off, had time to say “OH SHIT,” fell but didn’t break the phone and no other noise like splashing or breaking was heard by parents, THEN he hits his head on a rock, goes unconscious in the water, drowns and somehow body is never found again. But the police themselves said there was no steep drop off like that where he would have been walking. And imagine suddenly falling off a ledge with phone to your ear. First of all, your phone is likely still in your hand, meaning it’s going into water too, making a big sound for the listener and in 2009 or whatever, definitely turning off immediately afterwards. And that’s not what happened… It is truly freaking bizarre! These things I’ve listed above I think are the same reasons that the lead investigator himself said “somebody did this to him.” I think he’s seen that no other explanations make sense. Why or how out in the middle of no where at this super late time, some random person WOULD do this, I have no idea. But I mean… it’s adding up to human intervention. Beyond confounding and creepy

Every time people disappear under strange situations it makes me think of the cases from the Missing 411 series. People who know where they are going or have been there many times before suddenly get turned around no longer recognize the area or how much time has gone by. Sometimes the unexplained has been made that way by design. Prayers to all the families 🙏
I've thought a bit about this. I wondered, how long it had been from the time he started walking towards where he thought town was (which if you go to his car, you can probably guess the direction he thought was right). If you at least know the amount of time make a 360' circle around the area and figure out if there are ant wells as well as the distance to the river. If they match up then sadly that is exactly what happened. It's odd he would be lost that close to home which makes me think he maybe decided to go for a car ride and smoke a joint or he was actually tripping or even hit his head. Though it doesn't seem like he's impared in any serious way when he decides to walk. I live in a rural area. I would NEVER walk through fields at night to try and get to some far off destination and unless they are football and soccer fields it would only hinder you or hurt you. He would know that. They're filled with covered old well shafts, hidden farm equipment, barbed wire fences and posts and any plant life would be tough thorns and scrub that's he'll to get through. If it's corn fields at that time of year you couldn't see through it. If the River is a possibility in the time line, then there's a good chance the parents might have heard water but they didn't, and Brendon is a 19yr old kid, he can swim to shore, which is where he'd have fallen in from. But there was no sign of that either. I do think somewhere within that circle from the car of his walking time, there is a hidden or covered well or abandoned mine shift with a very small overgrown entrance that if he fell in, he'd never get out and may never be found if the earth shifts and closes the egress

I have to say, I’ve dropped them in the toilet once, dropped them on the floor multiple times to the point where the plastic is broken apart and held with tape. Both speaker screens are gone. Hello fan from before the adpocalypse here I've been asking you to cover a certain case it would belong in one of these type of not too many people have covered it and also its involving a indigenous persons so that could be another reason it's not covered often but it is mysterious. The case of Arnold ARÇHAMBEAU and ruby BRUGUIER . It was a young couple who just had an infant and they were taking a break for a night and going out and having fun with the girls cousin tagging along. On their way home they got into a car accident and it gets really mysterious from there the young girl who was the cousin is the only survivor and what she says makes it only more mysterious plus there was sightings of one of the persons after they supposedly were dead you got to cover this case please

The thing is, they had the ability to test for different types of poisons by that time in history. They had the bottle, even if the body was entirely skeletonized. Arsenic, strychnine, mercury, cyanide - these and other poisons could be detected with the scientific methods of the era. It makes me wonder if the ‘bottle of poison’ is a made-up factoid added later. Both bc it just sounds so cartoonish, and bc you’d think they’d have run tests on it, if it was actually there.

Hearing about the cyclist case and how it was likely someone who didn’t really have any family or friends to report them missing just reminds me about how there’s probably so many bodies out there, bodies that were never discovered and disappearances that were never reported all because they didn’t have any family. Thinking about how those people might never be found or have any form of justice.
I also thought it could be a lone tourist.
Just look at how many John/Jane doe bodies remain unclaimed and unidentified!
Victims sometimes can’t even be identified after the killer has been caught (I believe the “gameshow killer” and possibly the “truck stop killer” both had/have stacks of victim photos, with many of them never being identified/reported missing and still remain unknown to this day).
It’s definitely a heartbreaking realization that there are so many nameless, faceless people, that die/disappear and will likely never receive proper justice (or funerals).
Many of them likely wanted the end of their life to never be known and didn’t want a “proper burial” - but I would bet that most of them didn’t want it to be that way. 💔
It’s especially eerie to think about how many “living phantoms” exist around us, in our modern era- when it feels like everything and everyone is connected, documented and kept track of constantly.

I've followed the Brandon Swanson case for some time now, and I can't help but think his remains will be found somewhere out in those acres and acres of cornfields one day. I think he was confused as to his location so could have been referencing a different town's lights than the ones his dad was referring to. This would result in Brandon being outside the assumed search area. I also feel like an unmarked, abandoned test well is more likely than foul play. You'd have to be a well organized serial killer to be lying in wait in the middle of no wheresville in a random cornfield. Falling or sliding into an old well would certainly solicit an Oh shit from me.
There was also an abandoned farmhouse, right? What if at the moment of Brandon's disappearance it wasn't abandoned?
Around here farmers are plowing the fields once or twice a year, beginning and end of harvest usually. The soil is so molested that if remains were in a field they would just get mixed into the soil. The other think is he went missing during a time when crops where either tiny or just barely up. He would have been seein if people properly scoured the fields. Mostly likely is he fell in the yellow medicine or foul play.

The whole "someone lurking in the shadows" theory is the most ridiculous one- if someone is waiting for a victim, they're going tonwait somewhere where there's a reasonable chance that someone will walk by. An abandoned farm along a back highway? There's a hundred places like that in those rural "in between towns" areas where people don't walk through for years. And no one would have any reason to think a person would come along for any reason, not even by accident. Not only that but even if someone snuck up on him in the middle of a big ass field without him noticing, he may have cursed and dropped his phone but dropping it in dirt or fallow grass wouldn't have broken it and his parents still would have heard something, even if they couldn't make it out. However an abandoned farm would also have an abandoned well and even one they'd been using regularly, if the farm had been abandoned a good while, the cap could have rotted out or if concrete, could have crumbled and would have been overgrown. There'd be nothing marking it and you could be one second walking and the next second falling or even already deep in the earth. And if it was wet or still had water, that would kill the phone immediately. So watch your step in old fields where you know homesteads used to be. Some were less responsible about capping theirs or just left open test wells because, in their theory, they weren't that big but after years, the hole sometimes gets bigger and as we've learned, the human body can slide quite easily down incredibly small spaces you'd never think it could.
I grew up in the countryside and my first thought was of a well too. A "oh shit" is pretty common when you lose balance. When you realise where you are, you are already deep down, probably unconscious if not dead. Tbh the idea of someone dying alone after days in there it's terrifying. If something happened I hope it was quick, at least. Also yes, in some areas all the roads are pretty much the same so it's all familiar even if it's a new route.
Yeah, given he had very poor vision and was stumbling about in the dark in a rural area it's pretty obvious he most likely fell into a well/shaft/ditch/hole or the like. But people love their boogeymen fantasies.

as someone who's lived in rural america, it is REALLY common to have old wells or cesspits that aren't on record. i think it's most likely that brandon fell into one of these and it could explain why dogs couldn't find him.
I live maybe 45 minutes from where Brandon Swanson went missing. It is very possible he fell into a well. Farm houses are often abandoned or torn down and wells are just covered with dirt. Unfortunately with how rural the area is, it's almost impossible to even figure out where to start. We will never give up hope that his parents finally have answers. Just like with Jacob wetterling, we keep porch lights on to help Brandon find his way home in hopes he's still alive.

I was reading that they did a search for him covering both the land and the Yellow Medicine River, the latter of which some speculated that Swanson might have fallen into and drowned.
Search dogs actually picked up his scent on a trail near the river, which they followed to the water and which lead them to the other side of the river (lending credence to the idea that he had, at some point, fallen in), after which they continued north along the riverbank, towards the Yellow Medicine County line, where the trail suddenly ended. The search dogs also picked up the scent of human remains a few times near Mud Creek, north of Porter.
So I think it’s very possible he fell into a body of water he did not see during the dead of the night and that’s why his body has never been found. He was legally blind in his left eye and left his glasses in his car for some strange reason - so that would’ve made it difficult for him to scout the rural terrain he was in accurately and accidentally fell into something he did not see.

But how? The cops found his car pretty fast and so they knew what area he was in within a day and so idk how he could have gotten that far ahead and never found despite massive searches. He also said he could clearly see lights how do you get that lost following lights

On the Brandon Swanson case, I don't understand why he didn't just stay with his car. It sounds as if his car was easily found during the daylight so why get out and start walking in the dark? I understand his Dad had suggested he walk towards the lights of town but he didn't seem to know where he was. Maybe it's because I'm a woman but the idea of walking in the dark, whether it be alongside the road or through fields, in an unfamiliar area has doom written all over it in my eyes. It's an unfortunate & sad case. Alive or not, I hope this family will somehow find some clues that will help them determine what happened to this young man and offer them resolution and a path towards closure.

We’re I talking to my parents I’d have probably walked to, the thing is especially for the parents their kid is telling them he crashed the car but basically has no idea where he is which under the circumstances is weird. I assume the thought of you can see lights walk to them and we will def meet because I’m also going to where I think you are. Idk people in the moment usually aren’t gonna just accept that they are gonna sit with the car all night when where your going towards is lights it’s not exactly mountaineering. The last thing I’d expect is to get murdered it’s just statistically a very very low probability especially totally random like that by happenstance, but I don’t see how he got so lost he died or drowned they would have found something of his even if animals got to his body
If Ada had just left town for a long time and then came home, she would have continued to use money from her account. Someone put money in her account to get someone to go back to her house and find that body. I don't think it was her but someone came up with a good way to make another body disappear.

Re: the Brandon case - Old farmsteads often have cess pits where the outhouses used to be that get covered over instead of filled in. I don't know if they even appear on survey maps. If he was crossing one of these abandoned farms at night he could have fallen down one of these or an old well before he even knew it was there. In a fallow overgrown field, you'd almost have to fall in on top of him to find the hole.

Reminds me of something that happened to me in Maui, Hawaii in 2021.
Was visiting Makawao, a small town in the upland, on the way back from Haleakala. Walked around to get lunch and look. It’s hot and humid, everyone is wearing as little as possible.
These two guys were local and walking in front of us. Older Boomer guy is complaining to his friend about how this town has also become about the tourism, too many tourists and girls wandering around. And they’re all skimpy dressers, no pride, etc. He was pretty much sl0t-shaming.
His friend said, “calm down Gary, it‘s a million degrees out.”
Later that vacation, I was walking down the road next to a cane field, it started to rain. A guy with local plates pulled over and asked if I wanted a ride (apparently this is more common in Hawaii, I had been safely offered a ride on a previous trip, when I accidentally got too close to a military installation while hiking).
But I got bad vibes and recognized him as Gary from a few days prior. I said no thank you and cut through the field to go another way. Like I said. Bad vibes.
In fall 2022, I saw on an unsolved mysteries Forum that Gary from Makawao was arrested for SAing and then unaliving a teenage girl in 1982 in California. He left for Hawaii afterwards.

I live in the region of the second case, in France. This incident took place only a hundred kilometers away from where I live and made the headlines for a few days.
The story even took a darker turn: it is believed that the victim wasn't that much of an old secluded woman, but rather a 40 to 60 years old lady... her body has not been found as of 2023, nor her identity.
There are some other small details I won't tell here in a UA-cam comment.
But, to let you know guys... "Luc" runs free today: he has been released before Christmas 2022, with the only legal obligation to come to the local police once in a week to state that he is still around in the region and has not ran away.

I think the one thing that can be somewhat safely assumed with the first case is the deposits and the skeleton were linked in some capacity. Likely whoever did the deposits put the body there. Doesn't mean that it was Ada's body or she actually had anything to do with it though.

Realistically, it is more likely that Brandon fell into a well or cess pit (than any of the other theories). Here's why:
1. It would be harder to track his scent if his corpse eventually ended up underground, hence why cadaver dogs have a scent trail but have yet to locate any actual remains. His scent could be obscured/diluted by the water
2. Wells and cess pits *are commonly* found in rural areas, especially around older farms or agricultural land. Other theories are banking on the improbable: random murderers camping out in the dark country side waiting for victims and mountain lions, for example, are UNCOMMON. Statistical likelihood favors the "falling into a hole" theory.
3. Despite the common presence of these wells or pits, their location is not consistently mapped or noted. It would make sense that such holes are not easily investigated (or even known) as potentially locations of his body.
4. "Oh shit!" is definitely an appropriate response to falling. However, if he had been surprised by the presence of another person (i.e murderer) or a wild animal, the phone, *which was still on the call at this time* , would have picked up other noises: He might've said "Who are you?" Or the parents might've heard an unknown voice. Or screams of agony would've been heard as he was attacked by a predator or murderer.
If he had simply fallen in a hole, though, he might've fallen IN but dropped his phone on the outside of the well. Hence why the parents heard only silence after the "Oh shit!"
Ultimately, I think if it were possible for investigators to use Ground Penetrating Radar, they might have a better chance of locating these wells/pits, and therefore furthering their investigation. Unfortunately, this mechanism is quite costly at roughly $14k for basic level equipment.
Unless someone knows of a better means of locating obscure, possibly overgrown, holes in the ground....?
*ETA: Of course! Minnesota Department of Health has information pertaining to the location and type of various wells throughout the state, including unverified wells! I do not know if they have ever been contacted about using or assessing this data in relation to this case, but it could have been a useful tool for the investigation. Public health comin in clutch again*

It would also be why the phone didn't fall with him. I know I've dropped or tossed things while trying to catch myself.

I always believe that the "oh shit" they heard was not where he died, it's where he lost his phone. It could have fallen into a river, the battery could have died, or it could have been dropped and he never could find it again. Everyone always assumes he never answered again because he 'suddenly died right there spontaneously' and maybe that is what happened, but it might be what's causing this case to go unsolved. It's much more likely to me that something happened to his phone and he was forced to go on without it. Which means we have no idea where he is, yes, but that's likely /why/ we have no idea where he is.

That 'ding' would only tell where he dropped his phone ( IF he dropped his phone at all somewhere ) not necessarily where his last movements were.

Back then, in a rural place like that, I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t able to pull but the most general ping of his last location. Or it could be that it pinged last a few hours prior, so they have none from that specific area. It doesn’t just constantly pull up pings if you know how this stuff works.
I think it’s possible brandon ended up falling into something. Dropping his phone in the process and being unable to physically reach it. Being in the dark with bad eyes he wouldn’t have been able to see anything like that. So it matches that he might have fallen into the River. With it being dark he probably wouldn’t have been able to see well enough to get out. But apparently he did, and kept walking. Very strange

Brandon Swanson will always be something I'll look into no matter how much time goes by. There was another Brandon Lawson who disappeared around the same time and under extremely similar circumstances (car trouble, on the phone with family) and I will always have both in my heart and always pray one day their families will find peace. Despite his family urging farmers near where Brandon Lawson went missing there were still some that would not allow their property to be searched. Just this year remains of clothing that matched his were found and his family has since put up a memorial near the area. If Brandon Swanson happened across a farmers property who felt he may have been up to no good I can't help but wonder if the two missing boys were both killed by trigger happy farmers and then disposed of as to not be found responsible. I can only wonder.

The Brandon Swanson case haunts me. I am so heart broken for his mother and father, I really hope they can get some answers and closure as to what happened to him. Recommendation from recent events: in Oregon a young man named Miles Stanton disappeared this past fall. He was last seen on camera at a gas station. His body was found about 5 weeks later and the cops are being shady about it. I would be curious if you could dig up some details.

I’ve been following both the Brandon Swanson story and the Brandon Lawson story for years. I believe the truth is not so mysterious.
Brandon believed that he had crashed his car off a road near the town of Lynd. His parents drove out to pick him up, but he was not there.
Brandon seemed to think it was their mistake, but it was not. Frustrated, he started walking through a field towards
what he believed, were the lights of the town of Lynd. However, his cell phone records showed he had been near Porter which is 25 miles away from Lynd. His car was found on a road near Taunton when I map it, Lynd and Taunton, are about 20 miles apart.
As his phone was last pinged near Porter, that means that he had been walking north from Taunton in the wrong direction of Lynd, which was south.
The actual phone was never found. After it went dead following his last known words, “oh shit “ His parents stated that they had called it repeatedly afterwards and it had been ringing, unanswered. Later, it stopped ringing altogether, implying that the battery was dead. I’m not sure how easy it was to track a phone that was turned off 15 years ago (2008)?
Brandon had bad eyesight, it was night, he had been drinking, and he may have been much more drunk than he sounded to his parents because he was certainly disoriented. Maybe he had actually hit his head when he crashed his car and just hadn’t told them so that they wouldn’t freak out? He could have had a brain bleed which could have caused him more confusion and/or caused him to lose consciousness later. I am completely sure that if somebody had “run him of the road and was chasing him” that would’ve come up on his phone call to his parents lol. He was on the phone to his parents for a total of 47 minutes. He was in a field and nowhere near a road and walking towards the lights of someplace he thought was the town of Lynd, but was probably the town of Porter. Occam's Razor would say the likelihood was that he fell down an abandoned well or something like that. If that happened, he could’ve been knocked, unconscious, or killed immediately. His phone probably went with him, but wasn’t necessarily broken and eventually ran out of batteries.
If we separate the less likely “stranger than fiction“ possibilities. The chance that he fell into some sort of shaft or well is far more likely than being kidnapped in a place, like Porter, Minnesota, and trafficked and tortured, et cetera et cetera.

My guess, being from an area similar to where he vanished?
I think he decided to cut through a cornfield while walking and, being half blind and a college kid with no experience on farmland, didn't realize how soft or uneven the ground in a cornfield can be. He may have caught his leg wrong or tripped on something and knocked himself unconscious, or even been attacked by an animal, and either died right then or later on if he was unable to move. Dropping his phone would have made it hard to find in a cornfield, especially if it landed face down so the light would be covered whenever it rang, even moreso if he was too injured to move. He has glasses and may have even lost those in the fall. So on top of being half blind, potentially having lost his glasses, and having lost his phone AND being injured, he'd have died from exposure, blood loss, or dehydration depending on the weather. Maybe even suffocation if he'd been knocked unconscious, face down, in soft farm mud if it had been wet enough.
His body would have then been pulverized and ground up when the corn was harvested, leaving very little trace. Any bits of him from there would have been eaten by birds and scavengers (they descend after a field is harvested, they want the critters it churns up), his clothes either unrecognizable as cloth, mixed in with ground corn, or buried in the soil.

To me it sounds Brandon Swanson fell into an abandoned well. If he was cutting through fields, in the dark, its very possible he fell into a lightly covered old well. You'd be surprised how many properties have old unused wells just covered by a piece of plywood, or left open.

What happened between him leaving and his call to his parents? Why did the drive take him so long?
somewhere, people suggested that he took some gravel dirt roads instead of the highway because he was afraid of police testing on the main road. would explain why he thought he'd be somewhere near lynd when his car ultimately was found way up north. he didn't know the dirt roads and possibly got off course.

Apparently the area where Brandon disappeared had a number of old wells on it. It's entirely possible that he fell into a disused well. It was dark, and if the top of the well was covered with leaves and grass, he wouldn't have seen it, and wouldn't have been aware of it until he stepped into nothing. That would explain him yelling out "sh *t", and his phone going dead since it could have broken in the fall. An old well could potentially be very deep, possibly too deep for the cadaver dogs to detect him.
No way dogs can literally smell cancer cells and smell your blood sugar. Their noses are fucking insane they’d have no problem picking up his stank ass corpse rotting in some hole unless it was miles deep (and even then they would probably still find it) The case makes no sense we are missing some key detail.

@@ririme9934 I know, it really is… and I know everyone is just latching on to the abandoned well/ cess hole theory, and normally I could roll with that, but it actually just doesn’t make sense in this case.
Think about it, they know where his car is, and they know exactly how long he was walking before dropping the phone. And the phone was almost certainly just dropped, considering signal wasn’t lost and phone wasn’t hung up, it was just silent on the end.
So you can literally use math to draw up a 360 radius covering EXACTLY every square inch of that land that he COULD have walked in that time. And with a big search party, which they had, you could actually physically walk over every piece of land that he could have possibly walked over, starting at his car. So the fact they didn’t find any gaping hole where a fully body could just stroll into and become trapped inside, that shows you that this isn’t what happened.
Then, the river just would be nearly impossible that his body doesn’t wash onto shore somewhere. In MASSIVE rivers where they have no idea where someone’s body even went in, occasionally they’ve had scenarios where something weird happens to the body and they can’t find it. But in a small river like this one, it’s highly unlikely. Plus, his parents said he was a good swimmer, and the rapids weren’t rushing at all according to police. Just a steady flow. So the only explanation that would support drowning would be that he randomly walked off a huge drop off, had time to say “OH SHIT,” fell but didn’t break the phone and no other noise like splashing or breaking was heard by parents, THEN he hits his head on a rock, goes unconscious in the water, drowns and somehow body is never found again.
But the police themselves said there was no steep drop off like that where he would have been walking. And imagine suddenly falling off a ledge with phone to your ear. First of all, your phone is likely still in your hand, meaning it’s going into water too, making a big sound for the listener and in 2009 or whatever, definitely turning off immediately afterwards. And that’s not what happened…
It is truly freaking bizarre! These things I’ve listed above I think are the same reasons that the lead investigator himself said “somebody did this to him.” I think he’s seen that no other explanations make sense. Why or how out in the middle of no where at this super late time, some random person WOULD do this, I have no idea. But I mean… it’s adding up to human intervention. Beyond confounding and creepy

People who know where they are going or have been there many times before suddenly get turned around no longer recognize the area or how much time has gone by. I've thought a bit about this. I wondered, how long it had been from the time he started walking towards where he thought town was (which if you go to his car, you can probably guess the direction he thought was right). If you at least know the amount of time make a 360' circle around the area and figure out if there are ant wells as well as the distance to the river. If they match up then sadly that is exactly what happened. It's odd he would be lost that close to home which makes me think he maybe decided to go for a car ride and smoke a joint or he was actually tripping or even hit his head. Though it doesn't seem like he's impared in any serious way when he decides to walk. I live in a rural area. I would NEVER walk through fields at night to try and get to some far off destination and unless they are football and soccer fields it would only hinder you or hurt you. He would know that. They're filled with covered old well shafts, hidden farm equipment, barbed wire fences and posts and any plant life would be tough thorns and scrub that's he'll to get through. If it's corn fields at that time of year you couldn't see through it. If the River is a possibility in the time line, then there's a good chance the parents might have heard water but they didn't, and Brendon is a 19yr old kid, he can swim to shore, which is where he'd have fallen in from. But there was no sign of that either. I do think somewhere within that circle from the car of his walking time, there is a hidden or covered well or abandoned mine shift with a very small overgrown entrance that if he fell in, he'd never get out and may never be found if the earth shifts and closes the egress

@@donthaveaname1086 was it? Was it moving at deadly speeds that night? The River is the most likely possibility if that's the case. When I saw videos of it in relation to this it was not moving at those speeds. Wouldn't there be records kept of river conditions there?
