The story with Jane is equally heartbreaking as much as it was scary. Jane had a heart of gold. I hope she was able to turn her life around, she deserves so much better. 💔 I don't blame her for not telling anyone, you can't expect a kid to know exactly what to do when they've been abused in the worst way possible.
The way someone narrates a story reveals A LOT. Tense(s), pronouns, the order in which certain events are presented and how detailed they are (incl. timeline, build-up, vocabulary, repetition etc.) and so on. Sometimes the two are hard to tell apart but sometimes (like this story) your BS detector should go off _immediately_
He: lying in the street pretending to be injured to make her stop her car. He: bangs on her car window and tries to get in. He: has two other guys waiting in hiding. She: "I don't know, if he had ill intent." Right.
Person on the thumbnail is Raymond Robinson his story is real sad. When he was young when he got electrocuted pretty bad, it caused him to be severely deformed. Poor guy takes night time walks so that he doesn't scare anyone but instead he became an urban legend called the green man and or charlie no face. Really likes his night time walks even if he got hit by a car more than once. * I was talking about the first thumbnail before the guy changed it
R. M i live near where he lived too but i dont think as close as you. his story was brought to me about his story two months ago, and its very interesting. i wouldve loved to see him walking during the night and have conversations with him about whatever. it would just be a very cool experience.
We have a guy in our town who is allergic to sunlight. he's horribly disfigured and has to cover up to be out during the day. Really sweet guy, though! In these cases looks are decieving.
Hell no he has a voice that can put me too sleep better than a nice glass of milk I love his voice not too deep and not too high very smooth and soothing
I love your Candace while reading these intriguing stories and I’ve been wanting a soothing voice to my ear for a while so I’m now an avid listener and just recently wanted to start the addition of falling asleep to them which would be a extension to my current routine of listening to the narrations before bed but my husband who is not into this world at all has been asking me not to. Even with headphones he feels I’ll sleep walk or something worse while not knowing what I’m doing being in my sleeping state. So for now I’m going to have to be happy with my current routine and I’m more than happy to still have it.
The man in the background in the first part is actually a real person. His name is Raymond Robinson. In 1919, when Raymond Robinson was eight years old, he was reaching for a bird’s nest at the top of an electrical pole when he was suddenly shocked with 11,000 volts of electricity and sent flying to the ground in a blinding flash. The high-voltage shock burnt Robinson’s face and arms, leaving holes where his eyes and nose once were. People made up stories and rumors about him, saying he roamed the streets at night, chasing people around. It's really sad that people use his picture for scary stories like this. He went through something terrible and barely survived, and scary story channels like this use him as a 'spooky background'.

+Luke Petersen I can't read at work, these narrators do me well. they put in hours of work for us for what? five bucks a month for hours of entertainment he provides. pretty fair.
+William Miller yeah like a glitch in the matrix or a secret that would ruin your life.. But I found these by googling the best reddit threads ever. And a few good websites did the hard work for me. Some of the stuff is very creepy and then there are stories either just extremely fascinating or hilarious. au.complex.com/pop-culture/2015/04/reddit-posts/
+Jewlz m.vk.com/wall-69777695_10951 This is my favourite website because it's packed with audiobooks. It's way less taxing on your internet usage. They have pretty everything.. If you want to read something truly disturbing I'd go with American psycho

Yes and even those that may be affiliated with less than legal activity will still destroy anyone who tries to hurt women or children. They have an unspoken code of honor.
But not all are. Daughter dated one that almost killed her more than once. And his friends were no better. You can't make assumptions good or bad about any group. Only your experiences.
Let that serve as a warning to parents about hiring abusive baby sitters. I was victimized myself and now that I'm older that babysitter should look me up ya know. I'm sure he would love spending all of his time confined to a wheelchair.

Me! and I must say that Mc Donald story is great. They gave her free Happy meals for a month. It won't change her memory, but I know it changed how she felt about people knowing not everyone is bad. I went to skippers every Friday and the guy that worked there gave my sister and I a piece of cake. I didn't have a bad experience but we wanted a brother he said he would be. He was in his late teens we were under 10. We thought it was cool to have a big brother. He sometimes gave us extra toys they had there.

Your voice is perfect for narration especially the stories that you narrate. Your tone is on point and the music in the background is ominous, great videos. Xoxo!
Interesting thing about Cary Stayner: he's the brother of Steven Stayner, who was kidnapped and was missing for about 4-5 years before he managed to escape along with a child who he helped escape and brought back to his family (as well as reunite with his own.) Sadly Steven died in a motorcycle accident in 1989 at the age of 24. The young boy he helped escape, Timothy White, sadly also died in 2010. He was a Sheriff in LA and gave many lectures to children about being safe. It's all on Wiki :D. I'm glad the two managed to get away and live their lives repetitively to the fullest.
That message of his at the beginning has become all too true at this stage. It's amazing that even Joel didn't know just how successful he would become. aww Jane sounds so nice i honestly want a jane but i was always staying home alone since i was 6 so i never got a babysitter especially not an amazing one such as jane
still hate the mom in 4 who should of just called the police right away. Who asks a 12 year old if to call the police?? jesus.. you're the adult in the situation. Make a smart decision and not ask a panicking child.
can't hate the mom myself, as it's not everyday a 12 year old brings your toddler in and says she just about got abducted... at least I hope not. I'd like to think I'd call the cops in that situation, and get as much info about the attacker as possible. But I just can't predict how I'd act under pressure like that.
Isn't it weird how the creepy mood setting voice is also the smooth mellow calming voice? All the narrators get the feedback that they are putting people to sleep. :D
omg the Jane story : God bless her soul. What an amazing young lady. I am so sorry that happened to her but greatful that she took it and used it to assure it didn't happen to anyone else even when it costed her much. I pray she finds a way to beat the demons that haunt her because of becky.
I LOVE listening to your videos! Your voice is amazing. I have a question though, I have wanted to narrate stories for a while, any suggestions on how to start?
Thanks! So I use an H4N mic for recording (not the most optimized for vocals tho), a pop filter, possible so sort of mic stand or arm for your desk. I use the free software audacity to remove background noise, but you can use it to edit too. I use Sony Vegas to edit videos for posting on the UA-cams. Headphones are good too to hear your voice and gauge your surrounds. You'll also need the blood of Yeshua to stay slippy while haters try to pull you down. Stay focused and never give up
the McDonald's story happend to me once at arbys :( I was like 5 or 6 and this 40 year old guy was doing the same thing under the table while looking at me and smiling :, ( I never told anyone to this day it haunts me and I'm 16

@@mikesanders8621 Not to mention kids are often scared (and sadly, rightfully so sometimes) that they'll be blamed for the sickos behaviour, something which happens a lot to girls but hopefully less and less going forward. Gina shouldn't star blaming the victim.
I had a traumatic incident happen to me at McDonald’s when I was 6 also. I still think about it to this day. I’m 36 now. The way you described the scene was exactly the same. A bearded homeless man sat in the booth behind us, with my uncles back towards the man and me facing the man. I remember him gesturing and whispering that he was going to fucking kill me. I couldn’t eat my happy meal. I just remember trembling and almost peeing myself. I was terrified. Too terrified to tell my uncle. Every time we’d drive by that McDonald’s I would be terrified to go back in. This story really freaked me out. This guy didn’t pull his penis out tho.
@Loosie_fur. I remember one incident as a child in the early 70s ( there was 2). It was just like the one described...I was in Regents Park London and about 12 or 13 years old. I was sitting on the grass reading my book as I ate my packed lunch. I looked up and a man was sitting about 20 foot away from me in the corner of the park staring intently as he played with what looked like a small animal..something small and pink ... on the grass infront of him... I was alone because my dad told me it was time for me to become more independent.(.yeah right ?) Its remains a vivid memory over 40 years later.. I remember not understanding what I was seeing and thought he was playing with a puppy or kitten. I moved in a little closer ( curiosity got the better of me ) . He grinned at me coldly and I remember the gap in his front teeth as I had one too.... When I realised what he was doing I ran like hell all the way home didnt look behind me just kept running.... Mum reported it to the police by phone.. I gave her a very clear description of the man...maybe late 20s suited in a 70s blue suit andvblack boots....with a head of short curly thick black hair, coal dark eyes, a jet black moustache and neatly trimmed goatee. His smart image didnt fit with what I saw which was why I wasnt suspicious at first. Nothing came of it.but a few years later I saw someone who looked identical ...On the news...His name...Peter Sutcliffe The Yorkshire Ripper....He looked exactly like the man in the park..How was it possible? Sutcliffe is believed now to be responsible for more murders including abducting 2 school girls about my age in London in 70s . Apparently he liked 14 yr olds and I was chunky and althetic so looked older..He commited crimes from his lorry too while travelling back to Bradford and some were in London...(Chris Clarke and Tim Hicks collated a series of Lorry Murder articles). I will never forget that cold unblinking smile.......was it Sutcliffe? Ill never know but I often wonder if the police had taken it more seriously ..come to interview me......could he have been stopped sooner? Whoever it was it was a lucky escape for me... ....
I love Joel’s voice and really enjoy his stories mostly. I am an OAP and lost my job because I was told I was not needed anymore during covid even though I was brilliant at my job so money is tight but as soon as I can when things get easier financiallyI am going support Joel’s work. He’s really brilliant and deserves support.

I feel so bad for Jane and the little boy with the bike and the drunk for a dad. So many kids go through so much. It breaks my heart.
That Jane person is an awesome person! What a good girl
He: lying in the street pretending to be injured to make her stop her car.
He: bangs on her car window and tries to get in.
He: has two other guys waiting in hiding.

Ya, thought the same thing, thought of course they meant ill intent!

* I was talking about the first thumbnail before the guy changed it
Meto Kyan just looked this up ! Both interesting and sad thank you
Wow I never knew that, i just looked it up. Thanks for sharing!
Like the video thumbnail?? I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure the video thumbnail is the crypt keeper...
Am I the only one that finds this man's voice soothing and relaxing enough to fall asleep to?? lol
no. I think most of us feel the same
Hell no he has a voice that can put me too sleep better than a nice glass of milk I love his voice not too deep and not too high very smooth and soothing
His voice sounds like a kind father reading to his kids..not these kind of stories of course..lol
Like the voice too. Makes me sleepy. Hypnotic voice👍

Ugh right? I see his image used all the time and it makes me so mad
This should be upvoted

The first narrator is so good that it is utterly jarring to hear how truly awful the other readers are. They sound like they're reading phonetically, with no expression whatsoever. Sad.
The guy at 1hr sounds awful

Glad you were ok
Same I am so sorry that happened to you
@Loosie_fur. Whoever it was it was a lucky escape for me... ....
