Thanks for sharing These stations have been restored to their original aspect a few years ago, I think they are listed structures The ridership of line 1 seems modest, as I could myself see last august (2016), and there are only 3 coaches, but the stations seem to offer enough length to accommodate four. The whole line is a straight route, with exception out of Vörösmarty ter (end of line close to the Danube river), with a sharp bend and lot of noise ! Noteworthy is the very discreet aspect of metro entrances- I didn't even notice the one opposite the opera building ! -and the exit at Vörösmarty ter, leading almost in the middle of Gerbaud's terrace - best pastries in town, though expensive…
+Tanki Divide This is actually a rather short line so you wouldn't travel for long on it, and the stations and vehicles are so short, you cannot run longer trains. With this in mind I think it makes sense to have such a car configuration.
+Luftschlange when did they build these stations? Yes and I understand it is a short line, but they really don't need 2 doors per carriage, they should just put one wide door in the middle.
+Luftschlange From what I read, this Budapest Metro or Subway had a direct influence on the original contract one Interborough Rapid Transit (IRT) lines built in New York City between 1900-1907 (with the majority of the lines completed in 1904-1905). Outside of no express tracks, this is noticeable in the station layout and tile decor of this original Budapest Metro and the original IRT line stations
It's not a "faux vintage" style. This is the second oldest underground line in the world, and was built between 1894 and 1896. The style you've seen is the original style used more than a hundred years ago.
What level of s t u p i d are you? You are watching videos of subway stations and seeing that it looks vintage… hmm maybe because it is vintage? So maybe google it next time, before saying something, what makes you look like a m o r o n.

The Ganz ICSs have the same sound, because the MillFAVs were based on that.
Thank you so much for this video! Have any of metro line 4?
1号線はまるで足尾銅山のトロッコに似た見た目ですね
When was this stock made in?
PH013NIX This line was build the last decade of 19th century, opened 1900. It's the oldest subway line on the European continent.

Szia !!!¿¡◇♧
This has more doors than seats. Capacity over quality, I don't like it
Nice video though, it is not your problem that, there choice of passenger transport vehicle is this.

I don't know if I like the faux "vintage" style architecture. Looks tasteless to me.
