Hi! Where did you purchase the replacement regulator for your daughter's car? If it's an aftermarket version, would you mind sharing your experiences with it so far? Has it held up? Thanks for your help!
@@Lechonadobo an online store called Parts Geek. It has held up so far but installation was hampered by a couple issues. I had to borrow a bolt from the old part since the new one was the wrong size and the lower bolt that was welded to the piece came loose and began to spin freely while tightening the bolt. Had to improvise but got it to hold.
Great Tutorial, for some reason folks can't be bothered to do these videos over here in the UK, you just saved me a lot of hassle ........ many thanks indeed from London England.
Thanks man. I just did this on my wife's bug and this is the ONLY video or anything that tells you what to do. I almost lost my mind when I took the door panel off and saw all metal and couldn't even see the window. Luckily I found your video. Thank you so much!
Thank You - You walked me through the whole process. I've become a weekend wrench turner due to everything costing so much. I do have a ? --- there is no torque anywhere for tightening the window clamps ???
Excellent video. I have the same issue and have taken it down to the motor and regulator. Wondering if you have part numbers for the regulator. I checked the motor and it is good. Our bug is also a 2015. Thanks again
Great video as I am just doing this job! I do have a problem, though. As I was putting the window back it I didn't here the click so I pushed down on the window causing it to go down about 6 inches so the alignment is now off and I can't tighten the window closest to the side view mirror. I tried using the motor to hopefully bring it all the way up but it stops exactly where I pushed it down to. Any suggestions?
Hi there. I have a 2015 VW Beetle Classic. It does the same thing here in NYC. I have a quick fix for this issue, which seems to work for me, is to spray window washer fluid on the glass. Make sure the washer fluid is for cold temperatures. The solution avoids getting stuck outside of the car. The washer fluid keeps the windows from freezing, Secondly is having the car warm up with the heat on pointed to the windows. (With a remote start system installed). I think the problem is the pinch sensor for the glass windows; VW should remove that piece of tech.
Thank you for the suggestion to cut up the old regulator, which is what I had to do. My job is half done. What's haunting me is, do I have to somehow synchronize the motor to the regulator while re-installation is in progress?
hey bro, is it normal for the window lift to break down on the 2015 beetle? it's the second time it breaks. would like to know if there is any way to repair that detail once and for all and that it does not happen again, any tips? Here in Mexico it costs very expensive to repair it Volkswagen dealers
YES, they are junk, I have done my daughters 2015 Beetle 4 times in less than year. Poor design and poor quality of parts for VW. Sadly, I am/was a huge VW fan. But will NEVER buy again unless its an older 80's or 90's model.

Can I just insert something into the regulator to crank it up so I can just leave it up until I can fix it? Desperate to know before I take off the panel, wires & motor only to mess something up, find out I can't, & be clueless how I might do it :o(

We got the new regulator in and the window goes up and down but when you shut the door and the window raises up it’s still 1/4” too far down from sealing. Any ideas?
Thank you very much for this tutorial… got my daughter’s regulator replaced using your guidance!

Could you maybe explain to me what tools would be required to replace the door lock actuator?
Did you put the white clips back on? I didn’t see that in the video.
Very well done and well captured video. Thanks for the share!!!!
You make it seem so easy!
Can you tell me how can I remove the side mirror for beetle 2012? Please! Thanks!
Question you know the back window at the bottom has the rubber trim could that get covered up or replaced without removing the entire glass?
Hello Sir, do you have the link for the regulator? The one that I found it states only fits convertible model; but my car just like yours, hatchbacks.
I would have liked to see how you cut the wires.
Can the door latch be removed without removing the outer door skin?
Same question
Yes
Super easy too
