Thank you! Beautiful video! I have a doubt: I have the version with I7 12700F + RTX 3060TI. Is it normal for the GPU, full load, 2560 x 1080 (starfield ultra settings), to have a temperature of 82° celsius? I didn't touch anything, I just updated the official drivers with GeForce Xperience.

Port covers would work with the 5600G; useful for troubleshooting. Reason for the Gold PS is the change in California law that requires pre-builts shipped in to have at least a gold rating (they are trying to reduce energy consumption at idle). There are a few other states that adopted the same standard.
Looks like the same board as my M01-F1024, probably with the same case and ram (1.2 V 3200 (25600); Crucial's website says I can use 64 GB in mine, so I am sure it is possible in yours. HP won't tell you that, though; probably because the PS shipped with mine was just 180W. They are still using the same 256 GB SSD. Seems most of the parts are interchangeable from the business line. For a cooler, I have been looking at id-cooling and be quiet top flow coolers, since the mounting is for intel stock on the motherboard for some reason; NOT standard for AMD. fwiw, I bought my system from Best Buy 18 months ago for $470 to replace a dead box (lightning fried).
Yeah seems they try to keep the parts pretty much the same. I am looking forward to the 45L looks like they making it 100% upgradable. But until I have my hands on it & can confirm it, the jury is still out!
Awesome content my friend. I recently got one with a Ryzen 5 5600G, 16GB RAM, 500GB nvme and RTX 3060ti. Quick question if I may. If I replace the CPU cooler, do I need to remove the motherboard due to the back plate? Can I just use the backplate that is already installed? thanks!
From my research you need the 500w PSU from HP. It's proprietary so you cant buy a modular one. The model # is L89233-001. Good luck finding one though, I had to order one from the UK and I'm in the US...only one one the planet apparently. That 3060 to can pull as much as 200w. Add that to you CPU and motherboard and right there your almost at 350w. It's tight even with 500w

Thanks for the video, great overview! I have this same machine, except mine has the i7-12700 processor, 1660 super, and 32gb of ram. I'm a developer, not a huge gamer, so that default GPU was more than enough for me. A few games I play, No Mans Sky & Flight Simulator look fantastic, with most of the settings on maximum.
My only concern is the CPU temp seems to spike a little higher that I would like. Seen it occasionally hit the 90s, but averages in the 80's when pushing it. Not confident in my skills replacing the cooler, but would be willing to try adding another case fan. Do you know if there's an easy way to add an additional one, either on the bottom front side or somewhere in the front? Or would there be any benefit to replacing the rear fan?
did you custom configure your system or was it prebuilt ready to ship? Is the cpu 12700 or 12700f? The F doesn't have integrated gpu. CPU-Z should tell you what cpu is in your desktop. I was about to custom configure one with
12700 but want the igpu
@@doctube2020 I customized it on HPs website... Bought it directly from them, but integrated graphics wasn't an option (it's a gaming pc afterall). They don't have the F variant, just i7-12700
@@chrisroberts5747 That’s good if it’s the non f variant. Do intel graphics show in device manager? Even with a gaming gpu integrated graphics are a huge benefit for content creators or streaming.
@@doctube2020You can add a 92mm to the side or front. look at my tg01 upgrade it is the same case. change the Cpu cooler is not very hard. 4 screws 1 wire and some clean up. then add new thermal paste, plug the same wire back you unplug before. The add the screws you order with the noctua. they will lower your temps up to 15c Avg/Max if you do the Aio up to 20-25c Avg/Max

My config arrived the exact day this came out and i love it so much. A week later i upgraded to 32gb and it really is a good price for a small compact beast.

Would you recommend upgrading the cooling system? And if yes could you by any chance try the aii cooling system on this victus? I mentioned on another of your videos that I switched the cooling to a noctua gpu cooler and while my gpu Temps lowered by 20 degrees my Mainboard temp raised to 105 degree :D I would love to know of you have any good ideas how to improve the system. that's odd well I know most of the Hp use 4 pin PWM on there CPU and 3Pin controller on the mobo. Did your Noctua plug in to gpu?
@@TNW1337 hi again. I think it is because of the direction of the fan. It's now mounted vertically facing the back of the case. And the original cooler was facing the side of the case so it pulls air from the Mainboard and cools it a bit.

Does the BIOS have any memory timing settings if the owner would like to upgrade the RAM to faster one in future?

what's the main difference to HP TG05HP? Is it more upgradeable? Could I switch the 256gb to 1tb nvme or does it make more sense using the free ports and a ssd with sticky tape? Can it support a higher gpu in the future?
I am sorry I do not know what the TG05, are you talking about the omen? if so yes they omen are upgradeable. Yes you can swap the Nvme doing a clone or fresh win10/11 install on it. Both would work M.2 or SSD

You said you were using the 350w gold PSU. I have the 5600g and I just ordered a 3060. From everything I read I need the 500w. Unfortunately it's proprietary and I had to pay out the ying yang for it. We're you capable of running that rig at 350?
400 watt will work but the 500 watt would be a much better choice. The 350 watt would not work with 3060.

Was thinking about the TG01/TG02 case's top surface temperature, was using a body temp thermometer (ear type), and at about 110+35w on the GPU/CPU, it was measuring 40 degrees (though not sure if it's accurate). How hot would one get with an extra fan and a 200w full speed 3060Ti?
On air 70-80c by me with a noctua 50-68c Aio less 45-55c. the extra fan really helps. w/ out the fan it adds 5-11c depending on the area you live.

Well the case, mobo, psu and heatsink are junk. But you could reuse the cpu cooler I know I wouldn't. you can do a case swap for as little as $200-300. CPU, Ram, GPU, SSD, HDD, wifi card And M.2 can be reused.
Will 32gb ram 500 watt power supply and an upgraded fan to the ID cooling se 914 xt be enough to make the gpu radeon 6700 compatible? It's an erica 8 motherboard but I can't figure it ouf

if you have AC you will be just fine. Cooling upgrades help and are need depending on where you live.

I managed to shoe horn in the noctua nh u9s cooler in this thing! It’s so huge it looks ridiculous but it’s working great so far.

@@samil6906 i put a noctua cooler in it and added a fan so its well cooled. Kinda like the xbox series x. This pc isnt much bigger than a series x really. Dont order a memory upgrade if you buy it just buy the memory on amazon yourself. Its cheaper. Even hp memory is cheaper and better buying it separately 🤣
2:42 Actually... according to the logos the system has 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) type-A connectors, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) type-A connectors and 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) type-C connector.
Yes, it's hard to tell if the logo system or naming is more insane. And you cannot really tell the difference between USB 3.1 and USB 3.2 based on logos alone but the number in the logo is always Gbps rating for the connector. And if the number is 20 or more, then it's USB 4.
Type-C connector may support one or more of USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.1 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 3.2 Gen 2 or USB 3.2 Gen 2X2 protocols.
If I update my tg01 with an rtx 3060 ti and a new refrigeration it would be like having a victus, but I won't be able to give it any more updates.

My Victus came with a 5700G, 16Gb (Single Channel) RAM and a 1660 Super. I've added Dual Channel Crucial 16Gb RAM, a side 80mm case fan mounted to the black plate, but now I want to upgrade to a small factor ASUS 3060ti dual fan. Is the power supply compatible with this GPU upgrade?
do you have the 500w or the 400w PSU? the 400w will support the ti but no overclocking.

Even the RX6600, XT and 6650 have higher minimum requirements on the AMD specs page…

@@hakimeljaziri1994 really depends upon the performance and cooling of the Ryzen 5. I’ve had great performance with my configuration. For a true point of reference with the AIO cooler I’m able to play Star Citizen for hours on end with fps at 35-70 with res set at 2560x1440. The reason why it dips to 35 is because the cities have so much detail to load
Nice system. With big GPU, it might be constrained with cooling. A bit of a shame, because it should not be hard to modify it to make it more open ventilation.
Got a similar system just a few days ago. just that instead of a 5600g, it has a 12400f. GPU is the same (3060 TI). Without any changes the CPU ran at 70 degree during a 20min stresstest at 100% load. Gpu however could go up to 85 degrees. During regular gaming max temp I had on the GPU was 75 degrees and 64 degrees on the CPU. Pretty good, although I'd say the GPU can def go higher during gamer on more stressful games.
Changes I made: Undervolted the GPU. Effectivley increased it's performance by a bit ( Heaven benchmark 3800 score after undervolting, 3560ish on stock) and max temps went down to 78 degrees during stresstests. During regular gaming the GPU reached a maximum of 71 degrees, so overall a success.
Still going to add some changes, maybe I'll plug in additional fans or I'll change some stuff around the case so there is more airflow. I prefer GPUs to run at around 70 to 72 degrees during stresstests.

Aside from the undervolting I haven't changed anything. Highest temps for cpu I've had where around 58-60°C and for gpu 70-72°C. Granted it's not summer yet, but winter. Room temps are around 20-21°C.
Games I played: World of warcraft (Very cpu heavy in raids)
Elden Ring
Phantasy Star online 2 new genesis
I haven't encountered any problems on temps yet. Note for the game settings though: I usually pick the highest possible settings where my fps are at least stable 60 (aka I dont want my fps to dip at all below 60. There is some buffer to increase sliders and still get an average 60, but average means fps would drop below 60 occasionally). In the case of Elden Ring I played the game on nearly everything maxed locked at 60@1440p.
World of warcraft I have the fps limited to max 100 fps. Freesync monitor = no tearing. Ever since the new addon dragonflight came out the game became a lot more taxing resulting in high gpu temps at higher fps (140+ would raise my gpu temp to 73-75)
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis...Fps limited to 120. Both cpu and gpu not really stressed at all, I think gpu sits at around 64°C on average. Very well optimized game.
Everything played on 1440p. I am fairly certain the setup needs some additional configuration on hardware level to have reasonable temps at 40°C outside temps. I doubt the cpu would go higher than 70, but the gpu can easily go well beyond 80 and might even throttle eventually.

Just to add some further thoughts of mine: If during summer (temps can get up to 40°C in germany too, but usually in summer its 32-35 as per the last few years) and my computer starts having unreasonable temps (aka its close to throttling), I'd even consider moving the entire system in a new bigger case. A good case can be really cheap if you buy it on sale and the additional space + more ventilators will most def drop the temps considerably.

Well, I would look at the msi or Asus if this is all you have in your budget yes. you could make it work. You're going to need some upgrades like Ram and Gpu and maybe cooling.

On full speed with a mic yes. Because I am so close it picks it up on my mic. Makes it hard to edit but if I was gaming I would be fine with the fans at 100% because you have game sound.

Yes I own one and better add better CPU cooler and fan only paid 390 for mine for base model add 500w PSU and dropped 4060 mine didn't come with 3060 it came with rx 6400
4060 will work on 350w but I put a L774787-001 or 100 can't remember but they come out hp pavilion gaming PC bolts right in same size bolt pattern and it 500w not 350 no modifications add a fan and vetroo shadow for better colling and mine got LP 4060 do to I didn't upgrade colling till later but plays all and temps are great now
