I embrace all eras of Nightwish. They have always been a life changing band to me. Pure art, wisdom, passion, healing and so special and unique. So, I am nothing less but thrilled, thankful and enraptured being here and witness more new Nightwish to come. Greetings from Germany!
Greetings! I still need to listen to more from the Floor era, but I loved the Tarja and Annette eras. I am very excited to hear the new music from them as well. Thank you for sharing and for watching.
Floor is now the longest-serving singer. Tarja and Anette weren't with Nigthwish that long and Tuomas has announced several times that she is the last singer. If Floor leaves, he will break up the band. The guy in front of the microphone wouldn't make it to this depth because he would have suffocated first ;-) The diver doesn't have any diving equipment with him and no one gives him one. The recordings were made by his wife and she doesn't have an oxygen tank either. The diver wants to show people like you how beautiful it is down there: One Breath Around The World The singer at the end is Troy: Nightwish - The Carpenter (Floor Jansen) [Decades - Live In Buenos Aires 2019] For me, Tuoams has gotten better over time. You can hear the experience he has gained. The changes in members will also have contributed to this. Since he uses different sources, it's not boring either. I accuse many established bands of just copying themselves. With Tuomas, I discover something new even after listening to him repeatedly.
I am really impressed with this song and can’t wait to hear more from this album. It is cool that the band can be around so long and still produce at a high level. Thank you for sharing my friend.
It's a grower. Watched the reactions endless times. Floor's vocals are low in the mix, but it was deliberate. Floor, to me, is the best. So much to experience.
This is more like a mini movie than a music video. I knew it would be epic, as Tuomas had said it was over 8 minutes with the first chorus at about 3 1/2minutes in, but this is way more than I expected. Still finding new details after several dozen views. The new album will be called Yesterwynde, releasing Sep 20. It is the 3rd in a trilogy of albums, along with Endless Forms Most Beautiful and Human:II:Nature, all dealing with life, science, evolution, etc. As someone mentioned , they announced they aren't touring this album, taking a break. Rumor says they won't hit the road until 2026, maybe. Floor's first show was Oct 1 2012, she was announced as permanent about a year later. Troy, doing the male vocals here, started playing with NW in 2007, made permanent at the same time as Floor. He's a multi instrumentalist, playing pipes, whistles, guitar with and without EBOW, and bouzouki. He was once asked if there was anything he couldn't play as well as he would like, his answer was 'ice hockey' lol. Okay, you have heard GLS, so try "Romanticide" at Wacken 2013, Floor and Marko on vocals, and a heavier song.
Thank you for the insight my friend. I am upset they aren’t touring. I guess I’ll have to wait till 2026. Thank you for the suggestion. I will check it out.
Since you suggested going backwards then next "Tribal 2023" special live release , "Phantom of the Opera 2023 live at Zingo Dome feat Henk Poort", "Shoemaker 2022 live at Hellfest or Pinkpop "
I'm with you, this song and video are amazing! I have a feeling this is going to be a very special album, perhaps even the best one from the Floor era. I'm not an OG Nightwish fan, so I can't relate to what you asked. I do like all eras of Nightwish, but Floor is my favorite singer (not just of Nightwish), so we're definitely in my favorite era. BTW, that fish with the light is real, though they don't get that size. It's called an anglerfish, and they use that light to lure other fish to dinner. For some amazing Floor (and Marko) vocals, I highly recommend "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" live from Buenos Aires. Not just great vocals, but very theatrical performance too!
I love this! But I’ve read also some not so flattering comments about this song, always the same writers. They might appear to your Chanel as well at some point. But yes, this is not the best example of Floor’s excellent singing voice, you can pick some of the live ones. Great reaction, greetings from Finland!
Thank you! Unfortunately I did find out in the previous comments that they will not be touring. I guess I will be waiting a few years. Thank you for watching.
Some probability calculations: Step 1. Probability of boy meeting girl: one in 20,000. Step 2. Probability of same boy knocking up same girl: one in 2000. Step 3. Probability of right sperm meeting right egg: one in 400 quadrillion. Step 4. Now lets assume that you have just those 12 generations of ancestors mentioned in the intro to this song. For the probability of every one of those 12 generations of your ancestors having reproduced successfully with right sperm having met the right egg is 400 quadrillion to the 12th power. Given these 4 steps, the probability of you being born you at the present moment is 20k x 2k x 400 quadrillion to the 13th power. Going backwards in time with even more generations of your ancestors, we soon reach a probability of 1 divided by the number of atoms in the entire universe. This makes each one of us a unique miracle.
