I had mad drift trouble on my controller and whenever I played and walked forward my guy would go right as well and I had to constantly stop my movement to get it to stop, this worked so well and it stopped completely after I blew into it. Thank you for sharing this trick.

This may sound odd but. If your controller keeps drifting down the UI screen lift up your LT or RT that will fix the problem. Sometimes it get stuck, especially if you play FPS a lot.
My joystick would take a second to start responding and drifted for a second after being released and made every game feel like I was skating. Was planning on buying a new controller tomorrow but decided why not try something first. Pushed it in one direction, gave it a blow, instantly working fine after 5 minutes of testing. Thanks for saving me money!
3:00 - Actually as long as the controller is powered off and has been for a few min, it won't get damaged if liquid gets inside, so long as you let it dry out for a bit. For isopropyl, it evaporates pretty quickly. Can even just put the controller in front of a fan to speed it up. You can even just pour it inside the joystick or dunk the entire control in an isopropyl bath, let it dry, and nothing will be damaged but the dust will be gone. Again, so long as you let it dry and it's powered off with no battery inside when you do it. You can even put the controller in your dishwasher or bathtub and it'll still be fine. This is how I clean my keyboards, I put it in the dishwasher, let it dry, and boom it's clean and fixes any dust issues. Using soaps and detergents can erode stuff, but if you're only using water it's fine for the most part. Only isopropyl and there's no erosion risk at all.

I binned my controller and all of the spare parts I had didn’t fit the controller, I dug it out of the bin cleaned around the sticks and it works I nearly got rid of £60 controller. I may be 3 years to late but you sir are a legend
Best way to fix it is to manually take the front face off the controller and just clean the sticks or whatever buttons that needed to be clean and then test the controller once you’re satisfy just put it back together, done. Its so easy and does not take too much time.

I tried blowing into the analog stick at the four different angles and rotated it around for about 30 to 40 seconds. Not only this didn't help, but now ALL of the buttons don't work! I don't know if some saliva blew into the thing or maybe I rotated it too much (I really hope that's not a thing). It just doesn't work. It's highly probable I managed to do something wrong idunno

don’t know if anyone will see this but the isopropyl alcohol is very risky for controller make sure it’s 71% or higher but the number one thing that will help that help me is using the suction part of a vacuum if there is one on ur vacuum. for me blowing only help for abt 30 minutes before returning. Ur basically blowing the dirt but it’s not like ur removing it from the controller i sucked for every single opening I could find and it completely took all the problems

If you have sticky buttons take the battery’s out of your controller and dump 91% isopropyl alcohol into any sticky buttons or honestly anywhere that needs cleaned it drys within a few minutes and works great idk how good it is for your controller but mine are fine

This worked BEAUTIFULLY, I had a horrible case of stuck drift and it was just gone.
This just saved my ass after pouring a shot of whiskey on my remote and all it had was stick drift

Take an ear swab and dip it in rubbing alcohol and swab it around the sticks to loosen any dust or debris, then use air to blow it.

No, only isopropyl alcohol. Hand sanitizer is more jellylike so it’d stay inside the controller.
