I must agree, he doesn't know what he's talking about. It's called ft-lbs, aka Foot Pounds of Torque, not Pound Feet of Torque. Also Gear ratio multiply Torque. So if the Transmission & Differential are geared nicely, the Torgue that may be lacking can be made up. Also, I'm pretty sure it's a VVT aka Variable Valve Timing engine therefore the peak range is probably longer. The peak listed really tells you nothing. You really need to see the whole HP & Torque curves, not just the peaks.
first thing in the morning its jerky- thats with any BMW and any model- anybody who gets into a car when temp guage pinned to the left and just takes off knows little about the car- you should never just take off on a cold start- with any model
You should also read the manual dude, its there, BMW says there is no need to warm up this car, hit the key and drive, its not the 60s engines anymore, these are the days of aluminium and not cast iron..
