Thanks for uploading. That brought back many great memories from WA. As a young fella, back in '89, l met a retired couple camped at Shell Beach, Shark Bay. They were living the life, as you are, hauling a van around Australia. Cold beer and good conversation flowed. I arrived back in Perth a couple of weeks later, only to find there was a pilot strike on. Had to bus it back to Melbourne. WA Tourism suggested that instead of heading straight back to Victoria by bus, if l was interested in spending 3 days in Kalgoorlie as a side trip, they'd throw in 3 nights free accommodation. So l payed for 2 nights, called the boss and told him l could not get a bus back for 5 days... Sometimes bad things happens for a good reason 😂 New Sub. Happy trails. Take care. 😁👍🍺 🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing your memories. We now join the ranks of Peron Peninsula lovers! What is not to love. We would love to experience the area in a different season, perhaps to get into the water for a look.
@Dingopups I was lucky. Got into the water at Monkey Mia and swam with a couple of dolphins. Not in the tourist area... down beach where fishermen were. Only saw dugong from the boat and kept our distance. Talked to Greenpeace and the 60 Minutes cameraman. All were there discussing a hovercraft application to ferry tourists into Monkey Mia. The local aboriginal park rangers were a great source of info on the region as well. I thought half-seriously about moving to Denham, after talking to many locals, but the bore water put me off. Anyhow, take care. Will check out more of your travels as time permits. 😁👍🇦🇺
