KARIJINI NATIONAL PARK - it’s WA’s second largest; arguably one of it’s premier national parks. Far from reaching for the heavens, it’s narrow steep-sided gorges take you down; up to 100 metres in some. Ghost gums & spinifex sit against red PILBARA earth and blue skies; while fig trees cling to canyon walls, ferns and cooling pools feature in the gorges. There is little like this ancient landsc...

You were certainly right about being a biodiverse flora hotspot, it was a joy to visit for any flower lover. I think I took more flower photos there than anywhere else in W.A. I was sad I didnt get to see a honey possum as that would have made the stay so much more memorable but well worth a visit for the flora alone.
Stunning flowers, alien like some of them!
Thanks for sharing, brought back wonderful memories, one of our favourite places, so much to do and see. ⭐️⭐️
I'll check out your episode on Albany. I'm sure you'll have some of those gorgeous drone sequences.
@@Dingopups Thanks, our commentary is not as good as yours, im envious when i watch your video's. ❤️
Oh Laurie that is wonderful. We certainly loved Albany and will be returning next year for a longer stay. Albany has so much to offer.
Well done. Shared to Explore Albany - Kinjarling, Western Australia
Wagin = way-jin
I am just hopeless with new pronunciations.😊
We spent so little time in Wagin this year. Do you have any recommendations on what we should check out in the area next time?
@@Dingopups I am not sure where you have been already but I would go west from Wagin and head through the state parks - there are about 5 of them surrounding Collie. Check out Wellington Dam and then head south through Manjimup. There is a lovely arts trail in Northcliffe which is well worth seeing.
thx heaps, we are planning a trip back to WA next year, with more flexibility to explore. Cheers Sue
@@Dingopups Check out "Western Australia Now and Then". They specialise in Western Australia.
Loved the inclusion of the time lapse.
I can recall the first time I used my phone to take a hyper-lapse and I was hooked. You'll be amused to know that moment occurred in the Flinders Ranges on a cold and blusty day. That's why I love cloudy landscapes.
Sorry not to have found a Numbat but loved those animals we did get to see. Was pretty impressed being up close to Bilbies.
What a great experience sitting and feeding the nocturnal animals. Sad to have missed out on that one.
Very nice 😊 Thanks for sharing
Check yourselves for ticks - I had them 3 days after I left!
Low cost because of all the ticks. Been twice, ticks both times. Not going back 👍
There were plenty of roos, so I'm not surprised there were ticks. I was fortunate not to get any that I was aware of. We definitely saw it at its best, I reckon.
Thanks for uploading. That brought back many great memories from WA. As a young fella, back in '89, l met a retired couple camped at Shell Beach, Shark Bay. They were living the life, as you are, hauling a van around Australia. Cold beer and good conversation flowed. I arrived back in Perth a couple of weeks later, only to find there was a pilot strike on. Had to bus it back to Melbourne. WA Tourism suggested that instead of heading straight back to Victoria by bus, if l was interested in spending 3 days in Kalgoorlie as a side trip, they'd throw in 3 nights free accommodation. So l payed for 2 nights, called the boss and told him l could not get a bus back for 5 days... Sometimes bad things happens for a good reason 😂 New Sub. Happy trails. Take care. 😁👍🍺 🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing your memories. We now join the ranks of Peron Peninsula lovers! What is not to love. We would love to experience the area in a different season, perhaps to get into the water for a look.
@Dingopups I was lucky. Got into the water at Monkey Mia and swam with a couple of dolphins. Not in the tourist area... down beach where fishermen were. Only saw dugong from the boat and kept our distance. Talked to Greenpeace and the 60 Minutes cameraman. All were there discussing a hovercraft application to ferry tourists into Monkey Mia. The local aboriginal park rangers were a great source of info on the region as well. I thought half-seriously about moving to Denham, after talking to many locals, but the bore water put me off. Anyhow, take care. Will check out more of your travels as time permits. 😁👍🇦🇺
Well worth a $1,000 each great journey & well organised
Excellent scenery & story telling.
Honeycomb Gorge looked spectacular, it's a pity we didn't get to see it. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing
Lovely that you are enjoying yourselves, keep it up
FYI I attended the Battle of Britain & Battle for Australia Commemoration Service yesterday then a huge roast for lunch at the Federal hotel. Dusted Dad’s medals for the occasion, took them off before eating in case I accidentally spilled gravy on the ribbons.
I’m worried about Ron’s knees the bandages seem to be getting wider, hope you have a large supply?
It’s time you two went home
Lovely ep and spots, As a kid we fort over the burnt crusts on our bread its the best bit,
That's a precious memory. My siblings & I would fight over using an old spoon that had a heart shape worn into it! 😅 thank you for sharing.
Great episode, Great video shots,❤❤ thanks for sharing
Thanks heaps.
Excellent viewing
Thx Leanne, it's the scones scene that topped it off!
Great video Sue
Awesome video! Great work.
Thank you. It was a great place to experience.
Good Video👍
Yes I was there 2 weeks ago Could not ride my motorbike thru water crossings. Guy in tackle shop in Kununurra said another 2 months until water goes down for us bikes. I'm from Darwin. Go fish and camp on Ord River.
Lovely Ep and places guys,
Sorry for spelling mistake!
Thx Carrie for the question. It would seem Elvis is elusive as ever & hubby's photo set didn't deliver his profile after all. 😊 Hubby & I definitely agree that we both saw him.😂
Great information on the sites around Katherine. One question I'm left with is, where is Elvis 🕺?
Loved the Ikea shoe storage containers and the DIY Shower bags- great ideas.
Thanks for the insight, we will be doing that in the next few days.
“Where's the feature length episode on Mt Isa and its favourite son? If dead ghost lady gets that much air time, then I deserve at least a mention.” Your loving son xxoo
Looks like any mechanical failure is down to poor preparation.
dont forget to speed up on trucks at the overtaking lanes after youve held them up for miles at 80km hr tops,be a selfish ignorant prat and park in TRUCK ONLY rest areas where you are NOT supposed to be... ohhh and the all time favourite of caravanners always remember to wait until a truck is only 100-200 m away THEN pull clean out in front of it !!!
'Promosm'
That’s a strong opening episode! Well done.
Thanks for the tips. I have just bought my first caravan. Looking at using some of your ideas.
Dug the ol' EOS Canon out and used video settings for first time. Have a bit of a steep learning curve with settings but will get used to it with practice.
Great video Sue.
Glad you enjoyed it
I love the thong rating scale! 😂 Also love the information graphics. ❤
I love it. 😊😊😎 Happy and safe travels. we look forward to following your adventures.
