Hills and slopes can be a challenge to mow. Don't take risks when choosing equipment to mow on slope. Make sure you use equipment that is designed to mow on the slope you have. Mowing on slopes can be extremely dangerous if you are not properly equipped!

I have one. The hand controls take some getting used to. I have a Ventrac callus right at the base of my palm! It is an amazing machine. Can't count how many times people stop their cars with the look of "damn I wondered how they mowed that!". Was mowing a steep slope straight up and down as opposed to sideways near a football field full of kids practicing, had my back to them. When I finally turned around EVERYONE was standing there in amazement watching me. Worth the price if you have lots of dangerous (for other mowers) slopes. SAFELY gets the job done. Although you can still get in trouble if not careful. Ended up in a storm pond once!! Had to winch it out. Started it back up and kept on going! Love the thing.
We've had a crowd watching us mow a time or two.... it's always a sight to see :D

I'm a film student at NYU, and I have to say, for about a year or two I have fallen in love with both this product, and the production quality of the videos your company produces. Out of all of my subscriptions, the one I often am most excited to see is Ventrac. Which many people would surely find a bit weird, but every video is just so wonderfully put together. there is never a sense of dullness or repetition. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see the next video!

I drove a steiner and one kf these ventracs on a golf course i worked at in north jersey from 2001-2004. Place was built in the side of a mountain. We had some steep, monster hill, mostly tee boxes. The ventrac is an animal. It handled any terrain i put it on. I would recommend it to any golf facility. I might upload and share some pics later.

What about the engine oiling system operating at those angles for extended periods of time?
All of our engines carry special certifications from their manufacturers for this. The Kawasaki can handle 30 degrees continuous in any conditions. The rest of the engines are rated at 30 degrees in the same direction for 10 minutes intermittent. That means, all you have to do is change directions at least every ten minutes and you're good to go. We don't see failures in the field from oil system limitations.

My dad made a seat that knows when it’s level or not it wasn’t perfect but I was mowing on a huge slope and noticed a huge difference on my sides and back

Better stability and versatility than the JD 1445. Wish I had one when I was mowing slopes! Looks like it lays down some good lines as well! The 1445 can’t do that.

I am so glad Ventrac did not go with the foot pedal control. I have driven others with the foot pedal And hated it. The SDLA lever is the way to go. As always another great video.
Agreed. The SDLA hand levers give me so much more control over the tractor than any foot pedal ever could.
Ventrac offers the foot pedal control as an option. However they still will have the SDLA lever on the machine even if you opt for the foot control pedal as well. Best built multi use tractor out there

How does this machine handle the typical washouts found on these slopes??
It does well overall. If they're big it will obviously require slowing down but for the most part, the tractor will absorb most of the impact without a lot of disruption because the frame oscillates and can ride up, down, and over imperfections without raising any wheels off the ground. At any given time, one corner of the tractor can raise 8" above grade while still keeping contact. The deck also floats enough to take up a lot of these imperfections.
The guys falling out of the dam seat maybe have a feature where you can tilt to seat to somewhat match the angle your mowing at lol

Wow. I have a rustler mower now with tyres to take some incline but yes it does cut up the lawn. However, it's a very robust mower able to cope with tree roots stones the occasionally dumped spade. All of which are not good for the blades but the mower keeps cutting. I cut very high thick rank grass that stopped the mower, but yours looks amazing could it compete beside the roster for robust construction

My yard is sloped. I have to use a push mower. Watching this created and somehow satisfied the fantasy that spontaneously developed when I saw this ad. Pretty sure that's what happened.
I wish I had one of these, I am working on trying to control a veteran neighbors yard that has gone to trash after he got sick last year and a I have to weed wack then go over it multiple times with a mower... I have known about ventrac for a while but I don't know anybody that has one that I could use
I would suggest engineering a gimbaled seat mount that will remain Level no matter the slope your riding on! I Can’t Believe you didn’t think of that!

Continuous power demands make going fully electric a little bit challenging right now but as battery availability improves it will become easier. A fully electric machine would be awesome!

Is it possible to make the seat angle adjustable so you could sit straight instead of bent over?
Not in current form with the way that the seat attaches to the tractor. A pendulum type seat also negatively impacts center of gravity and makes hillside performance marginally worse, which we're not huge fans of.
