On this Monday Morning Minute, we’ve compiled a list of questions we’ve received about the 95” Wide Area Mower, Ventrac’s Fastest Mower. The WAM is all about mowing as fast as possible, saving the operator labor and time. The deck is made to take on larger scale jobs and tackle them in a fraction of the time. This smooth handling mower deck cuts at 95-inches with a full width striping roller and 5 cutting blades. Just bought my 2nd Ventrac tractor/deck 3 months ago and love it. Old one was 16 years old and still worked, I just wanted the upgrade. There is nothing else out there as versatile and high quality as Ventrac and the people at the factory are great if you call them for info. Please don't ever cheapen your product for more sales as so many companies seem to be doing nowadays. Maybe run some 0% programs through your dealers, as your product is pricy ( just as anything good is). This would help you sell more while not cheapening the product.

Your spot on with the 0% financing. That's the main reason I went with getting a John Deere 1025r with 3 different attachments. I came in at $22,000 with 0% for a couple years. just event track itself would have been a couple thousand more than my current setup which I could have justified if the financing was comparative.
Sweet set up! We currently have a 90” finish mower behind a cab tractor for our wide areas. However, the 72” is definitely something I would and could use on our main grounds as apposed to a zero turn. We have several hills as well as flat ground, and the attachments make it so capable.
I believe the most fun attachment is the Tough Cut. I have a bunch of attachments and each is fun but mowing things over with the Tough Cut is the super fun

I've always wanted a deck bigger than my 72 inch. The contour deck is nice, But really not needed on my flat large lawn. I could probably cut close to a hour off my mowing with one of these. The size just looks like it fits the Ventrac, I'm excited to see more of this mower in use.
Toro has some very large mowers that flex; five individual single blade mowers connected together.

Possible Ventrac collection system version, especially if the client doesn’t want any clippings on the property. The mansions around here have 6 acres of grass before you reach the house.

I wonder if Ventrac ever has tested a setup like on the biggest Toro Groundsmaster’s in which there is one deck in front center, then wing decks on each side rearward of the front deck?
What is the smallest mower you can put on a ventrac
I saw it featured on another channel along with its retail price for just the deck at $7,000. Ouch, $7,000!!!!! I had a lawn service years ago in which I only did lawns of 1 acre or bigger and that deck still would have been too large for residential lawns. I don’t imagine those decks selling in high volumes.

TrashKanKid also I think they should work on the design of that tough cut deck. It doesn’t seem to process that well compared to the Steiner tough cut. Before they try to go bigger, they should make sure that they can build it to cut cleaner than it does. The weeds seem to appear to just be knocked over in every Ventrac tough cut video that I’ve seen. I hope they do more R&D to improve. If not, it’ll just be a shortcoming for that mower.

I noticed you said the 4500Y would feel the pressure of this deck, power wise. Do you think the Ventrac 'P' with the Kawasaki engine is well capable of handling this deck? I understand it is more powerful than the diesel, but it's only two cylinders, so I'm curious of your opinion, thanks.
Yes - the P will handle this deck pretty well.
Is the Blade Tip Speed between 16k-17k fps? This will work on the 40 acre farm where I am mowing 12 acres with a HM722 and a HQ680. I just need a deck over to get it to the other farm where I mow much more...
Good question. We're at 17,350 FPM on the WAM.

I feel like having multiple rollers would be better, because that big of a deck will surely drag the roller, possibly tearing out grass.

The driver in the clips should SLOW DOWN with a cutter like this-the finish will be even better!No repeat mowing.Very nice mower and tractor-can do the work of larger bulkier machines.
Will the Ventrac Wide Area Mower work on the Steiner 450?
We're not sure about that. It should mount up without any issue since the hitch arms are the same style, but pay attention to belt alignment and clearance to the tractor with the attachment raised all the way and/or with the deck flipped up. We don't design with their machine in mind so on some attachments there may be interference issues to look out for.
Do you really drag it down your rails on a regular landscape trailer
Only trailers without side rails work.

Henry Simar this isn’t a side discharge deck do you can’t use a hopper anyway.

We wanted to offer something different from what's out there in the industry. This deck manages to have a very wide cut, provide a good overall cut quality without too much scalping, AND it has the benefit of being much simpler than a full contour-style deck with moving wings. This keeps the cost and maintenance down dramatically.

Soooooo it would now my 7.5 acre yard in less than 12 hours??? It's that much bigger than a 40 inch.. wow. 60 inch takes like 6 hours.... I'm guessing probably 3.5-4 hours.
Ventrac on your 95 each blade is 19" cause 19x5 is 95
A lot more debris to be sucked up on the radiator screen
That's possible in some conditions.... but it's a tradeoff worth making, given how much faster you can cover large acreage. Cleaning the radiator screen will always be a part of the process in this configuration.
