I think they should have combined these sketches with the "Embarrassed Prime Minister" ones. I keep thinking of him walking triumphantly out of Parliament going "Shit... shit, shit shit... I forgot to put the bins out"
That puritan family sketch is an absolute gem. It's really good dramatic acting for a while, and great direction too as Ben is walking round the table. Then the pay-off. Faultless comedy.
The British obsession with remembering to put the bins out AT ALL COSTS is really amusing, especially if like me you've watched your dad and neighbour taking it in turns week by week for ten years. Amazing sketches.
My bins are onlyemptied every three weeks so a missed collection is actually a pretty big thing to happen. Imagine having 6 week old rotting food in there. It's even more of an issue than when this show aired because bin collections were weekly/every 2 weeks back then.
Reverend: With the power invested in me, in front of God,.... oh God.... Groom: What - what is it?.... Reverend: ..... I forgot to put the bins out....
You don't want to watch this video! The bins is supposed to be a funny surprise. You should watch everything, and then when it comes up it's even funnier. Come on, a bit boring watching 6 minutes knowing they've forgotten the bins...
It's still hilarious. I thought of exactly the same thing as I was watching them, but they're so good even without the surprise that I just don't care.
the hopeless run gets me all the time
It's the icing on the cake.

My favourite one is the secret spy sketch where Armstrong is running after the bin guy saying "I say" to get the binmans attention XD
Its so brilliant cause everytime i remember to put the bins out I say "Oh my god - I forgot to put the bins out!!!" Dead on.
The best bit is always seeing them run and just miss the truck/cart/spaceship. it never gets old...
and thy did say unto thee...thou have forgotten to place thy bins out yonder!
I love how the punchline manages to get slightly funnier each time :D
Me this morning and when i caught up with the lorry, it was only doing fucking brown bins

Alexander Armstrong says 'Bollocks!' in the most satisfying way...

In a way, these are a follow-up of the 'Kill Them' sketches.

Is it pure coincidence that everyone who forgets about their bins live on the same street?

Reverend: With the power invested in me, in front of God,.... oh God....

Work of comedic art if you'd ask me! lolz
The last one is the best one (plus Tyger Drew Honey).
TYGER YOU FITTY!
Makes me laugh how it goes from she is with child to- she is a witch! :p Typical of those days.
Bollocks
Tyger makes the best gay. I can't really imagine him as anything else tbf :P
I even get to comment... BOLLOCKS!
the actress at 2:18 is hot!
I like the actress in the "gay son" sketch....but I'm torn between her and the jar of Marmite on the table...... Can't get here!

Would a WTC scene with a guy tumbling down holding on to a bin been funny or have I been watching too much Frankie Boyle?
