Here in Portugal in the 2000's to early 2010's we had, (and still have, although smaller now) culture similar to this one, without the crazy aero, where we tuned up our 50cc scooters from the cvt to a bigger bore and huge carburetors. A long time ago when I was 14, I used to ride a Yamaha aerox all whited out, my dad built it for my older sibling and it was a hand me down, I put an awesome aftermarket exhaust, it was too loud to, and I was riding it with a motocross helmet! If you know you know type of thing, I was Balling! Until i was caught without a license in a matter of 2-3 months!
In Japan Bosozoku were usually delinquent high school students who rode around in large groups late at night. They just rode old scooters with their mufflers modified to be as loud as possible.
The title killed me. Amazing video thank you for making this. I discovered bkr 3 years ago and i have been wanting 1 ever since. No one is doing this in South Africa it looks like such a blast. I have a Skyline that i want to style as a kaido racer and i dream of running a matching scooter. Keep it up. Enjoying the videos.
The introduction is a breath of fresh air. FINALLY, someone cleared out the misconceptions of every Showa-era custom car/bike being deemed "bousouzoku" or, god forbid, "bozusuku" or whatever people misspell them as.
Title baited me, haha. But you did a great job at presenting the information. 👍
