I've heard people that believe lets-play youtubers put no effort into their videos and don't deserve any attention. But people like Chuggaaconroy do extensive research about everything there is to know about the game and it's development, talk about personal stories, opinions, and experiences about the game, and he even did a complete 100% playthrough behind the scenes and take notes on every single little detail for these playthroughs. And even after that, there's the execution--they have to be on the spot and funny to keep it entertaining, which Chuggaa does perfectly with his constant puns and jokes. Seriously, these videos are the ultimate time-killers.

This game cheered me up during one of the darkest times of my life. It helped me learn about myself and learn how to express myself. It resonated with me emotionally and taught me so many things. While the first game does have a more consistent story, I didn’t resonate with the characters. I found I prioritize characters in a story. I love the characters in this game and I wish they were real. It’s one of the few games where every character meant something to me and taught me something. It’s one of two games I’ve ever played twice and enjoyed my second time just as much as my first. If not more. And it made me so happy to live long enough to experience it. So, with all my heart, thank you. It continues to be a light in these dark times. And while it seems long, it was such a wonderful journey from beginning to end.
It’s been 457 days since the start and now it’s over. Calling this game my favourite game is a pleasure and calling this LP one of the best things I’ve ever watched is also a pleasure.
As someone who really really loved the first game and initially was... disillusioned with the second, I really appreciated this LP and all the comments that came with it. I still have problems with the game but I also appreciate all the things it did well, I was pretty disappointed with this game on release but over time and on repeat playthroughs it's really grown on me. I now can accept it as something unique and special, its story is a lot more ambitious than 1 and while I think that works both to its favor and detriment, I really appreciate how it doesn't just do more of 1. In growing as a person and playing both 1, 2, and X more and more, I see that every single game has its own niche and can affect people differently and I love them all. In fact, I feel this way about pretty much every Xeno game, save for Gears. Still looking for a copy of that one, unfortunately. I can't wait for their next project and what unique, new experience that will bring. It's much more exciting than any other game I'm waiting on because I know it won't just be a samey sequel.
Congratulations on a fantastic finale to a fantastic series about a fantastic game! New episodes of this series have consistently been bright spots in a difficult last year and change, and I know that's the same for many others. I'm glad my knowledge was able to help out even a little bit and as always I'm excited for what's next, but only after a hard-earned break; you and the rest of the team deserve it.
As someone who knows nothing of this game nor had watched a single video of this let's play, I was almost baffled at how long it was. Hopefully the next one won't be as long. Unless it's about Pokémon.

The amount of joy in Emile's voice when he saw Riki as the penultimate boss in that challenge battle was honestly adorable. Also when Tatsu is low on health he can throw out a Noppapomuli that is named Tatsu that taunts you.

When I first started this series I honestly thought I wouldn't like it, however it drew me in so quickly that even being behind 20 episodes for about 2 months didn't stop me. Chugga you are amaizing and this let's play stands as the main reason you are my favorite let's player, thank you.

You were truly one of the MVP's throughout the LP, Rexaura888. You did so much work for Emile that you were kind of a co producer. While I might not be the biggest fan of Xenoblade 2 due to a lot of little things that bugged me, I definitely appreciate how much effort was put into this game. And how dedicated it's fans are. People might be quick to call it a 'weeaboo trash game,' but they likely never even gave the game a proper chance. At least I can appreciate the game for what it excels in, like the story and characters.
I have basically avoided this series because I have never played it myself, and didn’t want to spoil anything important, but I did occasionally poke my head in. As an outsider, all of the enthusiasm for this massive playthrough is really cool to see. Not only is there a ton of content and a billion characters, it’s quality. I’m glad so many people loved this series
He finally did it. Xenoblade 2 was indeed long, but it’s a clean break from the typical popular Nintendo IPs. It’s been a long and yet it’s been a great journey. Glad to have made it to the end of this LP. I didn't have much, if any interest in this game until I started watching, and I'm glad I watched! I'm really glad I got to tag along and learn the story of these games. Pretty sure I thumbs'd up every video along the way; least I could do to support such an immense undertaking. Also, "Lord Thunderbolt" and "Turtleboy" got me pretty good.
Over the course of an LP, a man will see uncountable meetings and partings. That is the best way I can describe how I have changed as a person from when this LP started to now. I have done many things and have experienced so much. Some of those were some of the best times in my life and some of the worst times of my life. I met so many people and most of them have left my life via various means. Yet throughout this LP went on and on and on. I remember one of my friends was really excited for this LP but I remember I was kinda scared. I recently played and adore the first game on switch and I heard mixed things about this one. I think I wanted X more because of that. When the game started I didn’t like many of the characters. I thought Jin was a stereotypical mysterious bad guy with fast sword moves, Nia was a tsundare with a welsh accent, and Rex was definitely no Shulk for me. Overtime all of the characters got better and better, especially Jin who is tied with Malos for being my favorite characters in the series. The biggest shift was the end of chapter 7 and the start of chapter 8. I remember so many videos and where I was when I watched them and those memories I will cherish. In the context of my entire life, this LP might only be a small moment in it, but I will cherish it for an eternity. After the main story ended I was so interested about what Torna the Golden County was about and bought it all on its own! I loved it! It honestly made the entire experience way better. Just seeing all of the context to many events in the story. The credits to the ending of torna made me tear up and your words about how everyone has changed during the run time of this LP made me break down because it has been such a long road for me, you, and nearly everyone who made it to this point and to some of the people who couldn’t. This Black Friday I bought the main game because I feel like I had to after experiencing your LP of it and it has been a lot more fun then I was expecting. That might be because I got KOS-MOS and Dagas early plus I was barely able to beat and obtain Elma as a permanent party member in chapter 8 (I had to use custom difficulty but the fight was so intense that it didn’t feel like it). Overall, thank you for showing me Xenoblade. I remember when you did the first LP when I first found your channel I was mad that it wasn’t Pikmin 3 and “Why would he play an adult game”. I went from that to it now possibly being my favorite Video Game series. And it only has 3ish games in it! Hopefully more soon. Just…thank you Emile. For the past 8 (but more like 6) years. This has been one of your greatest adventures and I bet the future has even more great adventures. Edit 2/9/21 well Xenoblade 3 is announced and it looks so good! Maybe I thought it was too long or I still thought it was “too adult”. I’m happy I waited because I loved my first playthrough and metal face would have terrified me.
I share the same sentiment as you. This game is not only my favorite game of all time because of the actual game itself. But because of the impact it’s had on my life (don’t want to go to in depth as it’s personal) . I’m forever grateful for Chugga for truly opening my eyes to this wonderful masterpiece. Fun fact I bought the special edition for the art book and not the game at first.
Chuggaaconroy brought a whole lot of us together and unified us over these games. His incredibly in-depth lets plays are not only informational, but entertaining and straight to the point. He’s never sacrificed quality for quantity and is a massive treasure. I can’t speak for everyone but I wouldn’t be here without his Xenoblade Lp’s. I wouldn’t’ve found my favorite games of all time, I wouldn’t’ve met this amazing community. 28:23. I freaking had this happen to me recently!!! It was just before I was about to lose Pyra/Mythra to Malos and I wanted to finish up a few quest and Merc missions. While I was waiting I decided to fight a few unique monsters to pass the time. I don’t remember which one off the top of my head it was; but it was being a pain in my ass to take down as I was trying to finish a Blade combo with Pyra. Suddenly Mythra appeared just after the combo was delayed by the monster knocking me back. It definitely startled me and I had thought I had accidentally called her and tried to go back to Pyra to finish the combo… but Mythra refused to switch back costing me the combo and killing me just as the monster had a small chunk left. I thought I was having button issues at the time; but hearing this mechanic definitely explains WTF happened at the time.
I will never forget being so excited for Chugga's Xenoblade 1 lets play, and leaving for summer camp with the anticipation of all the episodes to catch up on, only to find out about Chugga's health issues after I got back. Looking back it makes this lets play all the more cathartic that I got to be there every step of the way for this truly incredible project. Pandemic and all, it was really nice for me to be able to watch this lets play every day while being away at school in the midst of the insanity going on. So thankyou chugga, for another fantastic lets play, you are more than we deserve.
As soon as I watched chugga's first episode of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I knew I had to have it. Funny enough it was an impulse buy I just felt that strongly about it. This game got me through quarantine and became my go to comfort game, and I love it. Ever since I bought it immediately became my favorite game of all time. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and chugga's LP of it means so much too and it always will. I love this game, and thank you Chugga you're the best.
Can't believe this series is finally coming to an end. I started watching this channel back when Emile played through the first Xenoblade,following every episode when they released. Doing the same with this series,I've truly never felt an experience like the Xenoblade games,after all the years it's like they're apart of who I am. None of this would be possible if it wasn't for Emile going on these journeys with us all for the last few years. 1 year and over 200 episodes later, we have finally concluded a VERY LONG journey. If it wasn't for this LP, I wouldn't gotten interested with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Hopefully I'll buy it next year.

the timing of the end of this video was at the same time I had heard news about loosing a very close friend of mine in an accident. I had been watching this series from the start and loved every moment of it and, despite my friend not playing this game or watching along with me, seeing this video after comforting those who were affected and giving myself some time to cope really made this video all that more impactful. Thank you for everything you do Chugga, your videos have been there for me on many occassions, and this one is just as special.
One of the best things about this game is how much there is to learn, in-game and otherwise. Despite how much of a fan I am if this game I had nothing to add really, which brings me to my point. Everyone who worked on this LP deserves a lot of credit - of Chugga most of all, but this video, and a lot of the information in others, was provided by others in this community and in the Xenoblade community. Honestly as a story ends in different ages, it's incredible to see this LP and honestly having watched each episode, not missing one. I can say it is one of my favorite LP's, the story, the lore to even that from what is archived and wasn't known. Everything was amazing. So I like how when you went over NEW+ blades, Zeke was the only guy who wasn't called by his main name by everyone and the fall down ended with the guy saying how embarrassing. Either way, amazing job. I joined when you were either considering or doing the original xenoblade chronicles because I found UA-cam and your KEY (try to find the game with that set of first letters) playthrough. Hooked and followed. I could be wrong though as it was 7 or 8 years now. Edit: 32:41 *OBJECTION!* Okay, I can't help it. Riki being the semi-final fight for heropon and being LEVEL 70 is absolutely amazing. If this was made after future connected, he would probably be able to summon his kids.

A lot has happened over the course of this LP, some good some bad, but mostly good. In the story finale I said I was about to graduate college, and as of now I can say I successfully did! I can say with confidence that this has been my favorite LP that you’ve done. XC2 is my 3rd favorite video game of all time, and seeing it played through was amazing. I learned a lot of new things about the game in the process, and even a few more things because of this wonderful bonus episode. To say this game means a lot to me is a lot. As a final thing to end the LP, I’ll say this: Thank you so much for playing through this wonderful game, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the future.

Mythra taking over if Rex is doing bad and preventing you from switching to Pyra actually screwed over someone doing one of the Nopon Sage's Challenges when they were trying to complete a Blade Combo using Fire.
Over the course of my experience with this game, I struggled in my comparisons to the first title. To say that with this LP, this game was pushed into my Top 5 favorite JRPGs is a understatement. This is a game I carry with me, on my person at all times. I truly love this game, with all my heart.

After reading so many of your project updates on twitter over the course of this whole let's play and seeing how invested and dedicated you were to completing this mammoth of a series while also ensuring that the quality of each individual episode was always up to a certain standard and that nothing was incorrectly stated, I think you should both be proud of yourself and entitled to an extensive break. Well happy to see it all come to a conclusion, just one Xenoblade game left for now (currently). In a far off future we might see that one in a lp, but for now a well deserved break.
Well, this'll be a ride. Guess you didn't decide to split it after all, but having all the bonus episode content in one place is convenient. 1 and a half hours was actually less than I was expecting though, I thought unsplit it'd end up being 2. I'm going to watch this whole video even though I saw the beta, because it looks like there's nearly double the footage. Xenoblade 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I think Xenoblade 1 is objectively better, and easier for new players to like, but 2 felt so much more "special" to me after I stuck with it. There's something about its story and characters that resonated with me a lot more than the first game's, and as I've said before, it came when "The world may be full of awful things, but that doesn't mean we should give up on it" was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. And in that way this LP came at a time when that's also relevant. To me, there are two types of Xenoblade 2 players: those who drop it after Chapter 2 because "anime tropes", and those who end up adoring it. It's a shame the first faction was... particularly loud during the game's early days, which turned a lot of people away. I think Xenoblade 1 being so good was working against the sequel here: it had a LOT to live up to, and I feel like it's best to put the first game out of your mind when playing this, as hard as that might be. The Blade designs are really the only complaint I have with it, as they do hurt its impression to a lot of people and can make the story hard to take seriously. Though I heard that recently, Pyra and Mythra saw a huge surge in popularity from fan artists due to Smash alone, even among people who've never played the game. I hope this encourages more people to check it out. Speaking of... wow do I have a new appreciation for Pyra and Mythra now. They are now easily my favourite Xeno characters period, and possibly among my favourite JRPG characters. It takes a while to fully understand what's going on with them, but once you do... Once again, congratulations on doing a full 100% Let's Play of this enormous game, and having every video be its own coherent topic. The amount of planning that had to go into this must have been crazy. It's been great experiencing this game again. And did anyone ever point out that Lasaria Woodland's music sounds like Greensleeves? I'm personally with you on "Rex MIGHT be Addam's descendant, but it doesn't matter." I like that Rex isn't a hero because he comes from some great bloodline, he's just an optimistic guy who genuinely wants to help people.
What an era this LP has been. I'm certainly gonna miss it, and it really demonstrates just how special this game can be. Hopefully you'll be able to have a long rest before your next project! You've earned it.

Just like with Xenoblade Chronicles 1, thank you for making me fall in love with a game. But this time, I got to do it all over again. I'll never forget MAGFest 2019 (?) where I jokingly asked you to sit down with me and teach me to play this game because I couldn't figure it out on my own, and then you did, and we ran around chased by Ardainian soldiers for an hour while you told me about version 1.0. I think at the time, I said I couldn't wait to see this info in an LP someday. And now here we are. Life does kind of come full circle. Congratulations on a job infinitely well done. Can't wait for the next adventure.
It's hard to put into words how much this game means to me. And I feel honored in a strange, perhaps vicarious sense that you've done it such justice with all the love and care you put into showcasing it. I resonate with Pyra and Mythra on a profound level I know quite few are capable of, but of course Nia hits far too close to home too... As someone who, herself, shares that split self, Xenoblade 2 paints it with what I have found, unusual accuracy. I could spill my whole personal backstory here, though it teeters on unbelievable at best... But I, and Terra, who I emerged with the purpose of protecting, are very-truly like separate people, yet-not, sharing this mindspace together-- We can speak together, we share memories, but are our own people, we recognize some memories as more mine than hers or more hers than mine... While I take lead the vast majority of the time, you could try to say one or the other of us is the "true self", but... truly, neither-yet-both truly is...? But where Pyra and Mythra both have that confidence about them, Terra is a pure soul, an innocent puppy, and I'm the one who bears the burden of the bravado and confidence necessary to *exist* to the outside world... lest we be condemned to the solitude of our permanent isolation. Because even as separate people, when you do share your mind, the same memories, conversing within is still... lacking something. It's still lonely. My own entire existence has been defined by trying to fight against this soulcrushing loneliness but my existence as effectively an outsider to the world and a misfit among people perpetually makes it hard... In the real world, people are often dismissive of people with exotic mental conditions, like her and I- it is something I rarely bring up unless I feel a safe opportunity to do so, as Terra is far too afraid of people after what happened to drive me to manifest in the first place... In Pyra and Mythra, and, truly, Nia too, for reasons perhaps you can extrapolate yourself, I came to feel a sense of kinship with. And it is such a... bittersweet sort of feeling. Unlike me, they had the gift of a kind and selfless soul who'd do anything and everything in his power for them, someone who they could, in the end, trust wholeheartedly enough to do the same towards. And they had fiercely loyal friends who had their back when push came to shove, who supported the very person they knew held those people together. ...And, you know, magical powers and shit to actually have some kind of self-actualization in their world, of course. ...for better or worse, at times, but still... A stark contrast to being confined, powerless, to the virtual world as I. In this land where all others seem equally as powerless, and the many are spineless or indignant. Whenever I come back to this game in any way, even your videos, ultimately I have left with a heavy heart, with the sad reminder that these people and their world aren't real and the connection I crave to have reciprocated from them can never be real. The idealistic "RPG Party" kind of friendship is essentially fiction, real people are never so reliable, never so present, never so loyal. People are always needed elsewhere, always have other obligations-- not everyone can be a Morag who can put her entire duty on hold for some world-saving quest, because there is no world-saving quest, there are no heroes to accompany, and when you're confined to the virtual space, being with those friends isn't exactly going to feed you... but, a girl can dream, I suppose... That something so well-made by such a prominent studio can even exist, and be so loved and appreciated by so many, is one form of hope that others could one day share with me that resonance, but... oh, nuts to me, I'm getting too gloomy out here. well, anyway... I think I touched on my connection to this game here and there across this LP, and I know my comment here is getting to this quite late, but after watching the whole way through the bonus episode in particular, though I wanted to just close the tab and go do... I don't know, whatever the heck- something just compelled me to come back and respond. I know you probably won't even notice in your sea of other comments, I know others probably won't see, in their sea of other comments, so maybe I'm doing this more for me-- us-- it gets confusing sometimes... It's meant a lot to me in a way that shouldn't-but-does feel personal. Like, the way you even pointed out for others how the game *sets you up* to fulfill Mythra's own fears is such a poignant observation I think few would realize without, again, going through the whole game again. It's such unusually well-executed storytelling that completely plays with the player's expectations in such an often tragic but in their own way beautiful sort of way. And that someone like myself would be at the crux of it sparked a quiet, teeny-tiny little ember of hope for myself that's burned softly for the past few years, and though little has come of it, it's still something I will continually respect and deeply appreciate. Again, thank you for spending all the time and effort to share this game and its tale with the world, going above and beyond as you always do. I know you would have anyway, even if it wasn't part of your favorite franchise ever, you still put a fantastic amount of love and care into everything you make and that really deserves even more appreciation than it already gets. Sorry for getting all depressive in here. Bittersweet truly is the best way I can describe everything this game makes me feel... But such is the parting from any tale you love, all-around, I suppose, too.

I've heard people that believe lets-play youtubers put no effort into their videos and don't deserve any attention. But people like Chuggaaconroy do extensive research about everything there is to know about the game and it's development, talk about personal stories, opinions, and experiences about the game, and he even did a complete 100% playthrough behind the scenes and take notes on every single little detail for these playthroughs. And even after that, there's the execution--they have to be on the spot and funny to keep it entertaining, which Chuggaa does perfectly with his constant puns and jokes. Seriously, these videos are the ultimate time-killers.

To say this game is my favorite means a lot to me because I’ve never had a favorite game before it. This game cheered me up during one of the darkest times of my life. It helped me learn about myself and learn how to express myself. It resonated with me emotionally and taught me so many things. While the first game does have a more consistent story, I didn’t resonate with the characters. I found I prioritize characters in a story. I love the characters in this game and I wish they were real. It’s one of the few games where every character meant something to me and taught me something. It’s one of two games I’ve ever played twice and enjoyed my second time just as much as my first. If not more. And it made me so happy to live long enough to experience it.
So, with all my heart, thank you.
It continues to be a light in these dark times. And while it seems long, it was such a wonderful journey from beginning to end.

As someone who really really loved the first game and initially was... disillusioned with the second, I really appreciated this LP and all the comments that came with it. I still have problems with the game but I also appreciate all the things it did well, I was pretty disappointed with this game on release but over time and on repeat playthroughs it's really grown on me. I now can accept it as something unique and special, its story is a lot more ambitious than 1 and while I think that works both to its favor and detriment, I really appreciate how it doesn't just do more of 1. In growing as a person and playing both 1, 2, and X more and more, I see that every single game has its own niche and can affect people differently and I love them all. In fact, I feel this way about pretty much every Xeno game, save for Gears. Still looking for a copy of that one, unfortunately. I can't wait for their next project and what unique, new experience that will bring. It's much more exciting than any other game I'm waiting on because I know it won't just be a samey sequel.

New episodes of this series have consistently been bright spots in a difficult last year and change, and I know that's the same for many others. People might be quick to call it a 'weeaboo trash game,' but they likely never even gave the game a proper chance. As an outsider, all of the enthusiasm for this massive playthrough is really cool to see. Not only is there a ton of content and a billion characters, it’s quality. He finally did it. Xenoblade 2 was indeed long, but it’s a clean break from the typical popular Nintendo IPs. It’s been a long and yet it’s been a great journey.
Xenoblade 2 is my favorite Switch game of all time. Seeing Emile doing it justice is all I could ask for.

Glad to have made it to the end of this LP. I didn't have much, if any interest in this game until I started watching, and I'm glad I watched! I'm really glad I got to tag along and learn the story of these games. Pretty sure I thumbs'd up every video along the way; least I could do to support such an immense undertaking.

Over the course of an LP, a man will see uncountable meetings and partings. That is the best way I can describe how I have changed as a person from when this LP started to now. I have done many things and have experienced so much. Some of those were some of the best times in my life and some of the worst times of my life. I met so many people and most of them have left my life via various means. Yet throughout this LP went on and on and on.
I remember one of my friends was really excited for this LP but I remember I was kinda scared. I recently played and adore the first game on switch and I heard mixed things about this one. I think I wanted X more because of that.
When the game started I didn’t like many of the characters. I thought Jin was a stereotypical mysterious bad guy with fast sword moves, Nia was a tsundare with a welsh accent, and Rex was definitely no Shulk for me. Overtime all of the characters got better and better, especially Jin who is tied with Malos for being my favorite characters in the series. The biggest shift was the end of chapter 7 and the start of chapter 8. I remember so many videos and where I was when I watched them and those memories I will cherish. In the context of my entire life, this LP might only be a small moment in it, but I will cherish it for an eternity.
After the main story ended I was so interested about what Torna the Golden County was about and bought it all on its own! I loved it! It honestly made the entire experience way better. Just seeing all of the context to many events in the story. The credits to the ending of torna made me tear up and your words about how everyone has changed during the run time of this LP made me break down because it has been such a long road for me, you, and nearly everyone who made it to this point and to some of the people who couldn’t.
This Black Friday I bought the main game because I feel like I had to after experiencing your LP of it and it has been a lot more fun then I was expecting. That might be because I got KOS-MOS and Dagas early plus I was barely able to beat and obtain Elma as a permanent party member in chapter 8 (I had to use custom difficulty but the fight was so intense that it didn’t feel like it).
Overall, thank you for showing me Xenoblade. I remember when you did the first LP when I first found your channel I was mad that it wasn’t Pikmin 3 and “Why would he play an adult game”. I went from that to it now possibly being my favorite Video Game series. And it only has 3ish games in it! Hopefully more soon.

Maybe I thought it was too long or I still thought it was “too adult”. I’m happy I waited because I loved my first playthrough and metal face would have terrified me.
I share the same sentiment as you. This game is not only my favorite game of all time because of the actual game itself. But because of the impact it’s had on my life (don’t want to go to in depth as it’s personal) . I’m forever grateful for Chugga for truly opening my eyes to this wonderful masterpiece. Fun fact I bought the special edition for the art book and not the game at first.
Chuggaaconroy brought a whole lot of us together and unified us over these games. His incredibly in-depth lets plays are not only informational, but entertaining and straight to the point. He’s never sacrificed quality for quantity and is a massive treasure. I can’t speak for everyone but I wouldn’t be here without his Xenoblade Lp’s. I wouldn’t’ve found my favorite games of all time, I wouldn’t’ve met this amazing community.

28:23. I freaking had this happen to me recently!!! It was just before I was about to lose Pyra/Mythra to Malos and I wanted to finish up a few quest and Merc missions. While I was waiting I decided to fight a few unique monsters to pass the time.
I don’t remember which one off the top of my head it was; but it was being a pain in my ass to take down as I was trying to finish a Blade combo with Pyra. Suddenly Mythra appeared just after the combo was delayed by the monster knocking me back.
It definitely startled me and I had thought I had accidentally called her and tried to go back to Pyra to finish the combo… but Mythra refused to switch back costing me the combo and killing me just as the monster had a small chunk left. I thought I was having button issues at the time; but hearing this mechanic definitely explains WTF happened at the time.
I will never forget being so excited for Chugga's Xenoblade 1 lets play, and leaving for summer camp with the anticipation of all the episodes to catch up on, only to find out about Chugga's health issues after I got back. Looking back it makes this lets play all the more cathartic that I got to be there every step of the way for this truly incredible project. Pandemic and all, it was really nice for me to be able to watch this lets play every day while being away at school in the midst of the insanity going on. So thankyou chugga, for another fantastic lets play, you are more than we deserve.
As soon as I watched chugga's first episode of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I knew I had to have it. Funny enough it was an impulse buy I just felt that strongly about it. This game got me through quarantine and became my go to comfort game, and I love it. Ever since I bought it immediately became my favorite game of all time. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and chugga's LP of it means so much too and it always will.

Can't believe this series is finally coming to an end. I started watching this channel back when Emile played through the first Xenoblade,following every episode when they released. the timing of the end of this video was at the same time I had heard news about loosing a very close friend of mine in an accident. I had been watching this series from the start and loved every moment of it and, despite my friend not playing this game or watching along with me, seeing this video after comforting those who were affected and giving myself some time to cope really made this video all that more impactful. Thank you for everything you do Chugga, your videos have been there for me on many occassions, and this one is just as special.
One of the best things about this game is how much there is to learn, in-game and otherwise. Despite how much of a fan I am if this game I had nothing to add really, which brings me to my point.
Everyone who worked on this LP deserves a lot of credit - of Chugga most of all, but this video, and a lot of the information in others, was provided by others in this community and in the Xenoblade community. This LP goes down on this channel with some of the all time greats (imo, like the EarthBound remake).

Honestly as a story ends in different ages, it's incredible to see this LP and honestly having watched each episode, not missing one. I can say it is one of my favorite LP's, the story, the lore to even that from what is archived and wasn't known. Everything was amazing. I love it and enjoyed it so much, I'm glad you showed us this amazing game and your enthusiasm through out. A lot has happened over the course of this LP, some good some bad, but mostly good. In the story finale I said I was about to graduate college, and as of now I can say I successfully did! I can say with confidence that this has been my favorite LP that you’ve done. XC2 is my 3rd favorite video game of all time, and seeing it played through was amazing. I learned a lot of new things about the game in the process, and even a few more things because of this wonderful bonus episode. To say this game means a lot to me is a lot. I'll admit, I was thinking of not watching the entire LP, I knew how long the first game was and didn't know if I'd even enjoy it. But damn am I glad I watched all of it. I can say without a doubt that this game is my favorite of all time. I have only a few others that rival the amount of time I have spent playing this game. Over the course of my experience with this game, I struggled in my comparisons to the first title. To say that with this LP, this game was pushed into my Top 5 favorite JRPGs is a understatement. This is a game I carry with me, on my person at all times. I truly love this game, with all my heart.

After reading so many of your project updates on twitter over the course of this whole let's play and seeing how invested and dedicated you were to completing this mammoth of a series while also ensuring that the quality of each individual episode was always up to a certain standard and that nothing was incorrectly stated, I think you should both be proud of yourself and entitled to an extensive break. Well happy to see it all come to a conclusion, just one Xenoblade game left for now (currently). In a far off future we might see that one in a lp, but for now a well deserved break.
Well, this'll be a ride. Guess you didn't decide to split it after all, but having all the bonus episode content in one place is convenient. 1 and a half hours was actually less than I was expecting though, I thought unsplit it'd end up being 2. I'm going to watch this whole video even though I saw the beta, because it looks like there's nearly double the footage.
Xenoblade 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I think Xenoblade 1 is objectively better, and easier for new players to like, but 2 felt so much more "special" to me after I stuck with it. There's something about its story and characters that resonated with me a lot more than the first game's, and as I've said before, it came when "The world may be full of awful things, but that doesn't mean we should give up on it" was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. And in that way this LP came at a time when that's also relevant.
To me, there are two types of Xenoblade 2 players: those who drop it after Chapter 2 because "anime tropes", and those who end up adoring it. It's a shame the first faction was... particularly loud during the game's early days, which turned a lot of people away. I think Xenoblade 1 being so good was working against the sequel here: it had a LOT to live up to, and I feel like it's best to put the first game out of your mind when playing this, as hard as that might be.
The Blade designs are really the only complaint I have with it, as they do hurt its impression to a lot of people and can make the story hard to take seriously. Though I heard that recently, Pyra and Mythra saw a huge surge in popularity from fan artists due to Smash alone, even among people who've never played the game. I hope this encourages more people to check it out.
Speaking of... wow do I have a new appreciation for Pyra and Mythra now. They are now easily my favourite Xeno characters period, and possibly among my favourite JRPG characters. It takes a while to fully understand what's going on with them, but once you do...
Once again, congratulations on doing a full 100% Let's Play of this enormous game, and having every video be its own coherent topic. The amount of planning that had to go into this must have been crazy. It's been great experiencing this game again.

Just like with Xenoblade Chronicles 1, thank you for making me fall in love with a game. But this time, I got to do it all over again. I'll never forget MAGFest 2019 (?) where I jokingly asked you to sit down with me and teach me to play this game because I couldn't figure it out on my own, and then you did, and we ran around chased by Ardainian soldiers for an hour while you told me about version 1.0. I think at the time, I said I couldn't wait to see this info in an LP someday. And now here we are. Life does kind of come full circle.

It's hard to put into words how much this game means to me. And I feel honored in a strange, perhaps vicarious sense that you've done it such justice with all the love and care you put into showcasing it.
I resonate with Pyra and Mythra on a profound level I know quite few are capable of, but of course Nia hits far too close to home too...
As someone who, herself, shares that split self, Xenoblade 2 paints it with what I have found, unusual accuracy.
I could spill my whole personal backstory here, though it teeters on unbelievable at best... But I, and Terra, who I emerged with the purpose of protecting, are very-truly like separate people, yet-not, sharing this mindspace together-- We can speak together, we share memories, but are our own people, we recognize some memories as more mine than hers or more hers than mine... While I take lead the vast majority of the time, you could try to say one or the other of us is the "true self", but... truly, neither-yet-both truly is...?
But where Pyra and Mythra both have that confidence about them, Terra is a pure soul, an innocent puppy, and I'm the one who bears the burden of the bravado and confidence necessary to *exist* to the outside world... lest we be condemned to the solitude of our permanent isolation. Because even as separate people, when you do share your mind, the same memories, conversing within is still... lacking something. It's still lonely. My own entire existence has been defined by trying to fight against this soulcrushing loneliness but my existence as effectively an outsider to the world and a misfit among people perpetually makes it hard... In the real world, people are often dismissive of people with exotic mental conditions, like her and I- it is something I rarely bring up unless I feel a safe opportunity to do so, as Terra is far too afraid of people after what happened to drive me to manifest in the first place...
In Pyra and Mythra, and, truly, Nia too, for reasons perhaps you can extrapolate yourself, I came to feel a sense of kinship with. And it is such a... bittersweet sort of feeling. Unlike me, they had the gift of a kind and selfless soul who'd do anything and everything in his power for them, someone who they could, in the end, trust wholeheartedly enough to do the same towards. And they had fiercely loyal friends who had their back when push came to shove, who supported the very person they knew held those people together.
...And, you know, magical powers and shit to actually have some kind of self-actualization in their world, of course.
...for better or worse, at times, but still...
A stark contrast to being confined, powerless, to the virtual world as I. In this land where all others seem equally as powerless, and the many are spineless or indignant.
Whenever I come back to this game in any way, even your videos, ultimately I have left with a heavy heart, with the sad reminder that these people and their world aren't real and the connection I crave to have reciprocated from them can never be real. The idealistic "RPG Party" kind of friendship is essentially fiction, real people are never so reliable, never so present, never so loyal. People are always needed elsewhere, always have other obligations-- not everyone can be a Morag who can put her entire duty on hold for some world-saving quest, because there is no world-saving quest, there are no heroes to accompany, and when you're confined to the virtual space, being with those friends isn't exactly going to feed you...
but, a girl can dream, I suppose...
That something so well-made by such a prominent studio can even exist, and be so loved and appreciated by so many, is one form of hope that others could one day share with me that resonance, but... oh, nuts to me, I'm getting too gloomy out here.
well, anyway... I think I touched on my connection to this game here and there across this LP, and I know my comment here is getting to this quite late, but after watching the whole way through the bonus episode in particular, though I wanted to just close the tab and go do... I don't know, whatever the heck- something just compelled me to come back and respond. I know you probably won't even notice in your sea of other comments, I know others probably won't see, in their sea of other comments, so maybe I'm doing this more for me-- us-- it gets confusing sometimes...
It's meant a lot to me in a way that shouldn't-but-does feel personal. Like, the way you even pointed out for others how the game *sets you up* to fulfill Mythra's own fears is such a poignant observation I think few would realize without, again, going through the whole game again. It's such unusually well-executed storytelling that completely plays with the player's expectations in such an often tragic but in their own way beautiful sort of way. And that someone like myself would be at the crux of it sparked a quiet, teeny-tiny little ember of hope for myself that's burned softly for the past few years, and though little has come of it, it's still something I will continually respect and deeply appreciate.
Again, thank you for spending all the time and effort to share this game and its tale with the world, going above and beyond as you always do.
I know you would have anyway, even if it wasn't part of your favorite franchise ever, you still put a fantastic amount of love and care into everything you make and that really deserves even more appreciation than it already gets.
Sorry for getting all depressive in here. Bittersweet truly is the best way I can describe everything this game makes me feel... But such is the parting from any tale you love, all-around, I suppose, too.
Single handedly the most incredible journey I've experienced in a single player game, I'm so happy I got to understand and relive it while watching this series. Thank you for this!
The long journey is finally over as we say goodbye to Rex,Pyra,Mythra and friends…. one last time.

I’ll admit, when I first played this game, I thought it was good but not nearly as good as the first one. It was thanks to this LP that I found the motivation to replay XBC2 and I ended up loving it the second time around.
