That's for the update. I don't own one yet, but was already expecting to shrink the chain ring and maybe get a 51-52t cassette. Great to hear its working well for you. They're on sale now...
It sounds like it's a perfect fit for you... biomechanically speaking. I was between a small and medium so could never get that 'dialed in' feeling. (I had the Radar Cafe) I ended up on a Marin DSX FS. I upgraded pretty much everything on it and it's a light trail/fire road/greenway/light bike packing bike now... but with 'alt' flat bar. It doesn't have the nice steel feel but it fits me well (long torso, short legs)... so, if anyone wants an alternative, the Marin is a good alternative if the Breezer isn't a good fit... but the Breezer is a far better value in my experience. I've also had a Niner MCR that was great.. but also a little too big for me. All the new bike sizes are bigger than they were 10 yrs ago. A LOT bigger. I'm 5'10 and the Breezer 'small' was the biggest I could use... mainly due to the 30" inseam.
Well, to be honest@@derekdelboy ... It was probably my seat height or some other factor I just didn't address. I turned my into an e-bike with a 750w mid-drive Bafang in the end.. what a ripper! Anyway, 750w eats hubs, fyi. When do we get to hear more about that red bag? :) Why do you like it more/less than the Ortilieb?
You're a truly great reviewer... so pleasant and informative. Have you ridden the Radar up any big hills? What reasons might someone have to change the stock gearing? Many thanks for any input you can offer. Happy Holidays!!
Happy New Year. I've tackled a few local hills and the gearing is fine even if I'm not as fit as I used to be. My only reason for changing gearing would be for doing longer hillier rides with a lot of baggage.
Breezer takes their entire ad budget and puts it into your bike!
Purchased a breezer radar x last month. Awesome bike, more capable than most bikes on all types of terrain.
Oh I totally agree.

supposedly the max low sprocket with the GRX812 is 42T. But there are a lot of chainring options with the FSA modular crank.

yeah I'm riding a Breezer small frame where i usually ride a medium. I also had the benefit of trying it out at the local bike shop.
