It's just dijon mustard. I'm sure they sell dijon mustard in Britain, but almost no American brands are common in Britain except for Heinz and other brands brought over during and immediately following WWII.
It’s important to note the commercial was also so successful because of how funny it was to hear the word Poupon said out loud and then how fun it was to repeat it. If it was almost any other word I doubt the commercial would have taken off like it did.
Malik Albert I agree with Malik. $1.59 compared to $1.00 is nearly 60% more. But not nearly 100% more (double). If we accept 60% as meaning double, then we have hardly any use for any values between 60% and 100%.

To Estelle:
Please make a podcast about hip hop music so I can listen to it all day.
Vox, this video made me subscribe
gimme dat toilet I need something to poop on
No OnE CaReS m8
Perhaps a bowl of brown poop...on a shingle yo giggity ?
take mustard and boil it that's grey poupon
"I got the grey poupon you been warned, cuz all beef return well done filet mignon"
- HOV
Easy rhyme, high class status symbol. There, I saved you 10 minutes of life.
What in your opinion makes a video interesting for 10 minutes?
klesh THANK YOU
Exactly what I said.
And really if you're a fan of hiphop, you don't need to do a college thesis on the question.
klesh implying she isnt a fan of hip hop?
I liked almost every tracked played on this.
I think you should make a _"Grey Poupon playlist"_
Oh no Vox found the 10min youtube algorithm
which is what?
IamProfessorO I think it suggests your video more often
I love this type of stuff from Vox
"This that Grey Poupon"
-Kendrick (2017)
Bravo 🎉 I had chuckled to myself every time I caught it myself. I love it
Watching this after HUMBLE. And wow
Jason Golembeski op
I bet her playlist are dope af
That Dutch rapping lol
"stRRRRAAAAtmEEERRRmin"
Biting Snoop's flow? That's what makes in cringeworthy otherwise hearing it in Dutch would be fun.
Vjeze Fur is that particular rappers name, he also released music together with the Singer of 'Aux Raus' under the name 'Coevorduh'. He runs a label (amongst other things) called Magnetron Music. fyi ;^)
modern dutch rap and culture kinda sucks really bad or is too minimal and soft
Cupids Death Bow Original try Fresku, Donnie or Winne, they're great i.m.o 👐
Why on earth is it called Grey Poupon if it's colored yellow?
Because of Maurice Grey, who came up with this brand of Dijon mustard
Why is blue diamond cheese yellow or white if it's called "blue"?
@@ellieblunden1463 because it has blue mould going through it
why are red onions called red onions if they're purple
Same reason for the naming of Grey Goose and Earl Grey tea.
I have no idea lol
Grey Poupon , the ultimate status symbol
More videos about rap and Kanye pleeeeeeeeaaaase, they're SO great
When the guys in the advert are British but I (a British person) have never heard of it before ever.
JINGHAM nor have I until I saw this
It's not a british accent, it's just broadcast english.
JINGHAM its a fancy accent
It's just dijon mustard. I'm sure they sell dijon mustard in Britain, but almost no American brands are common in Britain except for Heinz and other brands brought over during and immediately following WWII.
Charter Jacobson I'm sure at 2:53 that is a British accent, but yeah the younger guy asking later on does sound American.
It’s important to note the commercial was also so successful because of how funny it was to hear the word Poupon said out loud and then how fun it was to repeat it. If it was almost any other word I doubt the commercial would have taken off like it did.
I absolutely love these videos. I love you estelle!
$1.59 is "nearly double the price" of $1.00?
Could have sworn is was "over one and a half times more expensive"
The Piano Maker it is nearly double the price because if you round that up it gives you 2 dollars so the statement is correct
The Piano Maker 1x2 is 2 so 1.59 is nearly double 2
Malik Albert
I agree with Malik.
$1.59 compared to $1.00 is nearly 60% more. But not nearly 100% more (double).
If we accept 60% as meaning double, then we have hardly any use for any values between 60% and 100%.
this is a 10 minute youtube video that explains something that could be explained in one sentence. Are you really surprised they over-exaggerated?
Key word being nearly
This was very well researched and so random but engaging.
I watched this last night and this morning I was listening to the new Brockhampton album and the song Alaska is says “wtf is grey poupon” I feel like I’m gonna notice or a lot more in music lol
