Simply the best band with the purest form of music. No matter how much their style has changed over the past 16-17 years, they're still original and always find a way to just suck you in to every song and album. I can start on track one and never skip a song...problem is getting to the next one 'cause I'm always replaying the one I'm listening to!!

This band means the absolute world to me! Anyone who judges them based on Only By The Night obviously hasn't listened to their old music & needs to listen to listen to their early music.
Honestly only by the night is a brilliant album. Very different from their earlier stuff but that entire album from start to finish is a masterpiece.

If you ask me they never get enough credit for the atmosphere they create in their music. They have these huge stadium rock songs, but my favourite songs of theirs are the ones that are so atmospheric. Closer, Manhattan, Arizona and this tune. You can literally picture the place they're songs are about by the music alone, like the notes and the reverbs actually create a scene, its so cool. I'm going through a bit of a KOL revival and so happy I stumbled back in to their music.

John Martin talahina is a very small town in oklahoma. I mean pretty backwoods haha. These guys are all brothers except one of em is a cousin. They just wanted to get out of there their whole lives and see the real world. Thats pretty much it from what i understand lol. Not exactly uplifting but its a great song
wkstearns91 they wanted to get out, but let me tell you from a born leflore county okie, talahina is a beautiful place. People have traveled from the places of their birth since the beginning of time, that does not mean they do not have strong good memories. I love the song.
What's it like to wake up each morning and know that God has blessed you with the absolute best & purest voice to come along in rock n roll in a long, long time? Dude sounds better live than in the studio. Not too many can replicate that.

I saw them in concert recently and they performed Talihina Sky exactly this way...with the entire band and Nathan, the drummer standing at a small set of drums at the front of the stage....absolutely awesome.

An ever evolving partnership that takes endless compromises to work. But in the end leaves us with songs that makes your hairs stand up on the back of your neck every time you hear it. Love you guys.
