You need to get your facts straight for one. The Big Bang Theory was filmed in front of a live audience. They didn't need a laugh track and their jokes are as good today as when it was filmed. Stop talking like it is 100 years ago.
Apples and oranges. Though both shows have only 1 important character and it's the same character, they really aren't the same kind of show. I love both about equally

The Big Bang may have been filmed in front of a live audience, but it had a laugh track. The joke were tested on live audiences and recored for laughs. Not your traditional laugh track, but a laugh track none the less.@@richardswansbrough2730

Sheldon's father is a far better person all-round in YS than Sheldon describes in TBBT.
I think it mostly stems from a childhood grudge of being forced to watch American football
That's honetly because they completely ignored everything Sheldon said in Big Bang Theory. Young Sheldon mostly ignored TBBT and the story line

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't yet caught up with Young Sheldon Season 7, but I'm glad that they debunked the theory that George cheated on Mary. Even though their marriage had its issues, they still cared for each other towards the end, and it makes sense that Sheldon would misinterpret their role-playing.

And dressed in a traditional German costume!
I mean, it’s definitely an interesting twist, but in the end, it’s still kind of sad because… Sheldon still believes that his father was unfaithful to his mother, and really the only person who could clear that up is Mary… But neither one of them is going to go ahead and mention it to the other.
Sheldon will never bring it up because he wouldn’t want to upset his mother since he’d assume she doesn’t know or never found out.
And Mary would never bring it up because she didn’t know that Sheldon accidentally saw/heard her with George… and say in a scenario where she did find out that Sheldon accidentally stumbled upon them roleplaying then she wouldn’t say anything out of the sheer mortification…
Either way this incident and what Sheldon believed happened deeply influenced his perception of his father in a negative way and that’s just sad.

The way young Sheldon addressed the "infidelity" was a good way to keep George liked.

For Young Sheldon they also forgot Louie Anderson as Ralph the trophy store owner. He was such a jerk to Mary in that episode. It was so weird seeing him that way when he was always happy and funny
I thought they forgot about Elon Musk and then remembered he actually guest starred in both shows!
TBBT is infinitely better, although the concept of young Sheldon and the show itself is still really good
The Bing Bang Theory is a better show, Young Sheldon is a great prequel but the original that started is better.

In Theory the Big Bang came first but Young Sheldon is all heart the greatest of Sheldon is seen from the start Big Bang might be over and Young Sheldon is nearing the finish line but in my opinion they both have aged like fine wine

They both are so great.
I agree on all these except humor. TBBT not only is much more comedy-focused and therefore all around funny, but with its science and nerd-focus it basically CREATED a style of comedy that we've never seen before. It's not even just "pop culture references" for the sake of it like we've seen in a lot of stuff since then, they serve as setups for actual jokes and character development.
It seems people have only grown to dislike the humor of TBBT because of the laugh track, which is an illegitimate complaint since it's simply part of the medium.
So to me TBBT definitely wins 4 - 3.
Young Sheldon is a great show and has some awesome and touching moments, but TBBT was just groundbreaking.

I grew up watching both and I personally like "Young Sheldon" more
Though The shows has the same character Sheldon The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon has different Genre. It's Like Comparing Comedy to a Drama. They are good in their own ways.
I love both shows but I think Young Sheldon is a better quality show. One of my favorite aspects of Young Sheldon is that it is more wholesome.

I much prefer Young Sheldon. It felt like it had more heart and it had a strong cast who really made the characters their own.

Young Sheldon is not groundbreaking like TBBT. Young Sheldon is good but is really just a weaker version of The Wonder Years.

Young Sheldon has appeared on The Big Bang Theory once, Adult Sheldon has not appeared on young Sheldon yet, but if you mean as a narrator, then yes.
Adult Sheldon will appear on May 16, finale of young Sheldon.
Young Sheldon humour is so better than big bang theory. BBT is more of an adult attracting comedy where as young Sheldon's comedy is family centric so good choice in the video

Guest Stars point should’ve gone to TBBT
While I enjoy TBBT, I find Young Sheldon far more satisfying overall as a story telling show that has humor.
Young Sheldon not having the sitcom format instantly makes it the better series. TBBT would have had the same if not more positive reception from viewers if it wasn't for the damn laugh tracks that makes it so irritating.
Even fans of TBBT would agree that the show would have been so much better if it had the same format as Young Sheldon. At the very least, setting-wise, the series would've had more variety .
I do wish raj had a happy relationship though that would have ended the series a lot better but he never did and that’s a bit sad 😔

I loved Yound Sheldon more than I did TBBT. First of all, no laugh track on YS (that is annoying). Second, I found myself thinking the storylines of TBBT not to be very funny. There was one particular episode where Raj and Stuart were fighting over who loved and could care for Howard, Bernadette and the baby better. I just found that annoying. Third, while I love Jim Parsons and thought Amy was hilarious, YS's ensemble cast was much stronger than TBBT and it made it easier to like more of them. Fourth, it was a surprise to find out that George Sr. was a much better person than TBBT made him out to be and I am a sucker for a good TV dad. YS has my vote!!
Only disagree about guest stars. BBT had many more.
I cant even finish 2 episodes in BBT. The backround laughs is irritating and the humor is sometimes cringe. On YS I breeze through each seasons very fast and have repeated it 3 times now.
I love Young Sheldon, and it's a great family show, but the humor is not as good as TBBT.
WHAT?! TBBT WAS ROBBED! I WANT A DO-OVER! TBBT CHALLENGES YS TO A REMATCH!
These two shows have to be separate series, from episode one of YS they've been doing things that contradict TBBT, especially when it comes to character development, in TBBT Sheldon goes through a lot and does the most developing in the show and for YS to connect to TBBT his younger version can't grow too much, but that would make for a bad character. When they change George's affair into a misunderstanding, that was for the fans not to keep the show connected to TBBT they need to go one step further and not kill George.
I liked TBBT. It was comical, nerdy and just fun to watch due to the ensemble cast and personalities. Young Sheldon just DID NOT work for me. It reminded me of every other family based reality television show, like Malcolm in the Middle or Raising Hope or The Kids Are Alright. There was no real need for it, and it didnt do anything for Big Bang Theory fans. I just dont see why we needed a deeper drive into Sheldon Cooper's life, especially when we met most of the characters on TBBT.

The only person we didn't meet was the dad because he passed away. What was the purpose of diving deeper into George Jr.'s life with thr older woman and the baby, especially if it played no parted in TBBT'S portrayal of him? TBBT came first. Again, I just didnt like the Young Sheldon overall. The deep dive of Young Sheldon wasn't really needed.
Now, a deeper dive into Leonard's life would have been more interesting, give the neuroticism, emotional unavailability, and occupation of his mother. The family dynamic of Leonard's family would have been cool to see.
Young Sheldon goes together with TBBT like the Star Wars movies did at first... Tooooo many holes..

TBH The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019) Was a how do I put this kinda overrated loved the show loved Sheldon Cooper but Young Sheldon (2017-2024) Is kind like a Malcolm In The Middle (2000-2006) type of experience but on CBS also Missy & Sheldon have the same the same Twin sibling dynamic as my twin sister and I which can be offputing

I know some like YS. I but I hate it. It totally ignores everything said in TBBT about Sheldon's past. Like Sheldon talked about the constant screaming matches between his parents; his father cheating and leaving the family and the new girlfriend trying to buy his love{mentioned by Sheldon in the comic book store} We didn't see YS get repeatedly beat up by his sister. There where just too many times YS ignored or changed things that were stated as fact in TBBT about Sheldon's life.
Liked your video but didn't agree with your scoring. Think Big Band is fantastic and Young Sheldon benefits from the history of BBT.

You think about this stuff way too much and is too bias to the intellectual and mental weaknesses of the Millennials and younger generations. Just enjoy the programs for what they are and in their own context.

The only thing that would make YS better would be if it were called instead “The Coopers”. The last four seasons of TBBT are just GARBAGE; Chuck Lorre is an idiot that always ruins shows.
The last two seasons felt more like sequels than anything else because of how mature some characters were by then.
