- New American Flyer Ready-to-Run FlyerChief Train Set!
Already a cornerstone of Christmas family tradition, The Polar Express™ movie celebrates its 17th Anniversary in 2021 with the FlyerChief Remote Control System.
A newly-tooled American Flyer S-Gauge Polar Express Berkshire with dramatized pilot pulls three illuminated Polar Express Passenger cars. The S Gauge Polar Express Set comes ready-to-run out of the box, including a powerful 36-W 18VDC Wall-Pack Power Supply and all the track you need to get things started. Operate the Polar Express under your tree every Christmas for generations to come, or leave it up all year to enjoy continuous fun, excitement and railroading magic!
Operating your trains has never been easier!
Total control - The "throttle" rotates to increase and decrease speed in both forward and reverse.
Full speed ahead - The red light at the top of the remote is a speed indicator; steady when in neutral and blinking faster as it accelerates.
Long range reception - Even at a distance of 60 feet or from another room,
Special "Sleep" feature - Helps prolong the life of your three AAA batteries.
Multiple frequencies available, so multiple engines can run on the same layout at the same time
Realistic sounds!
Realistic steam chuff sounds are in-sync with steam engine's speed
High quality speaker housed in the tender
Three sound buttons on the remote to control bell, whistle/horn and customized sounds or announcements
Multi-System Operation!
FlyerChief Remote Control locomotives can run on any LEGACY, TMCC, or conventional transformer layout as long as 18 volts of power is being supplied to the track.
Families can run their locomotives at the same time and on the same track! At 18 volts -- Mom or Dad's LEGACY/TMCC engine can be controlled with the CAB-1 or CAB-2 Remote Controller while the junior engineer commands the FlyerChief remote locomotive with his or her very own remote controller.

I recommend that you put it in a plastic box. I found it very difficult to put back in box. Put everything in the plastic storage box and save the box.
Really good video and nice train set

Absolutely beautiful I love the Polar Express thanks for sharing 🚂🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🚞🎄
@Daniel Cafarelli 😂👍
Mashallah ♥️♥️♥️
It is recommended you put the engine and tender on the track FIRST , then plug in the power. Great video!

Wow
I visited the National Toy Train Museum in Strasburg,PA on Monday, October 1st.,2012. Inside there was a table of the Polar Express that wasen’t set up right. It was the Lionel version. I set it up correctly so other visitors can enjoy it. The collection of toy trains is fantastic. It’s a railfans must visit to Strasburg,PA because of the oldest railroad in the U.S., the Pennsylvania State Railroad Museum, National Toy Train Museum & the Red Caboose Lodge where you can spend a few nights of a weekend there in a real caboose.

I like trains
Also for the container holding the engine on the top of the plastic desert the engine sits in I colored it red so I know that that piece of plastic belongs with the engine not the tender

The other thing is I am not going for the opportunity of being in a relationship that is a big part in my way of the world of you 💯 💔 👌 😕 🙏 😪 💯 is the best for the opportunity that your business has to do with the things that are important in the life and I let them know what I am doing for them to do clean and I let them go for a long while and then they are going out for dinner with a family and I let them know they will not problem with me being a part time job and not being a part time student in a year and a year or two trees are you available to take a DIOS bien for the opportunity of the year for a year to be a part time for the opportunity and the time you spend on the way home and your work and I let me take the time and effort into the world and the way you want to be and how to make you 6pm your life and your address is a little more complicated and I let it be a bit longer for the opportunity and to get to know the best and get the best out there tomorrow.
I’m not gonna lie… I do not like this model. In fact, I don’t like any of Lionel’s Polar Express models. And here’s why.
First of all, The engine looks too similar to the actual Pere Marquette 1225, and not like the actual engine in the movie. Details such as the headlight being recessed into the smoke box, the lack of a top feed, the wheels being larger, not having a present number, and the lettering on the tender being white are all aspects that only the Engine in the movie has. Meanwhile, Lionel’s Polar Express models all have elements that the real life Pere Marquette has, as well as gold lettering and numbers plastered all over the engine. I personally think it doesn’t capture the engine from the movie very well. Not to mention the detail on the models is cheap. Most of the detail is just molded in, unpainted, and made out of cheap feeling glossy plastic. You’d never get that from a company like Hornby or Rapido.
Second of all, the coaches are a hot mess. Similarly to the engine (although considerably worse) the coaches do not capture the aesthetic of the movie coaches whatsoever. The livery is completely wrong. They’re always painted a light blue, with a pinkish maroon going across the windows, which are unevenly spaced and too small. The coaches proportions in general are just too long and narrow. The coaches in the movie are painted a dark slate gray, with a warmer and richer red going across the windows, which are evenly spaced, much larger, and run the entire length of the coaches, with the doors being integrated as part of the windows, as opposed to being separate like with Lionel’s Polar Express models. They are also a bit shorter and stubbier looking, a bit wider and taller, and just generally more compact.
Third of all, pretty much all of Lionel‘s Polar Express models use the same sound effects, which happen to not be accurate to the movie at all. Most notably the whistle, it always sounds too much like Pere Marquette‘s, and not the whistle in the movie, which was provided by Sierra Railway No. 3.
I know I’m being extremely technical and picky, (and borderline psychotic) but I am autistic, and extremely anal retentive about these kind of things. It just triggers me to an unbelievable and honestly stupid extent when re-creations of already established things, aren’t accurate or faithful. I apologize to and praise anyone who actually took the time to read all of my deranged rambling. Hopefully I’m not the only one who’s this passion about the Polar Express.
You’re not wrong. The set doesn’t reflect the train from the movie. I would also add that the observation car is nothing like the one of the movie. The red taillight is missing and the door is supposed curved not straight. But then again it’s hard to expect these kinds of things from a company that mass produces.
@@nicog.9556 That’s a great point! That’s something I meant to add to the original comment I forgot about. And yeah, we shouldn’t expect much from a huge company like Lionel, that’s been steadily going downhill for years.
You're not wrong, the engine doesn't look right, and rolling stock looks too cartoony.
