giants need to fire the medical staff, training staff and the DC. if they fire brian or joe it should be joe. he killed the roster. he went out and preached how he wants "smart, tough and dependable" yet we have 21 players on a IR and we had xavior mckinney fit that exact mold of what joe was "looking" for and what does he do? let's him walk in FA. yeah that looks really good to the rest of the team and shows how much you really value smart, tough and dependable. joe is a joke.

That’s a recipe for disaster. If you fire Daboll but keep Schoen and turn around and fire him next year you set the franchise back even further. It’s more successful when you match New Quarterback with GM and HC
I would keep Daboll over Schoen in a heartbeat. I think he’s been scheming to tank and he’s a better offensive mind than we’re giving him credit. With that said, they can both go if that’s what a new GM wants.

Bottom line is that after Mara told Schoen that we needed Barkley Schoen did not attempt to keep him. He then signs with the Eagles and is now braking records which is the worse thing that could’ve happened to the Giants!! In addition, he doesn’t sign Mckinny who also is leading the league at Safety !! So yeah Schoen has royally messed up as a GM!!
GM Joe Schoen didn't select HC Daboll, it was John Mara. This time Mr Mara will let GM Joe Schoen pick his own Giants HC next season. John Mara will "FIRED" HC Brain Daboll by the end of the season soon.
The only difference between Joe Schoen vs Jerry Reece & Dave Gettleman is the fact that Schoen has stocked up on all the right places between the offensive line AND the pass rush. Gettleman & Reese did not. Give Joe Schoen a chance to continue to spend cap money on all the right places & the big pay off could come as soon as next season. Especially if the right QB is drafted.
I would say give them another year because they have a playoff win under their belt but you have to let both go so the new gm and coach get their players
1, keep both. They both were forced to work with Daniel Jones, because Mara said we did everything to mess up this kid, we never fixed the offensive line, and didn't give him a #1 WR. Mara wanted to give Jones a chance with a decent offensive line and a #1 WR, which we did this year, but Jones is already too messed up to fix. I remember when he first stepped in for Eli, he put the team on his back and won a game against Tampa Bay... he showed so much promise and potential back then. Now Jones is a shell of himself. Daboll and Schoen should get a chance to draft and groom "their" own QB, and I agree that they should get at least 2 more years to do that... that right, I said "at least" 2 year, maybe 3 years. Eli started in '04 but didn't win the superbowl until 4 years later in '07, because he had... stability... ding ding ding, that's right, stability. Marshall is absolutely right about what he said in this video... a rookie QB needs stability. Look at jones, he had a new head coach and offensive coordinator every 2 years, and it messed him up.
Fire Both. But I can't tell if Schoen is doing good job or not because it's Daboll's job to develop and motivate draft picks. And the team is undisciplined and there is little attention to detail coached. I believe Daboll is overwhelmed as a HC, and he's more of a problem to the team.

I agree that Schoen has basically made bigger mistakes than Daboll.. It’s just that I do not see Daboll as a “SB” winning Coach. Schoen has made bad picks in the first 2 yrs however he did well in the last draft.. My point is I simply do not like Daboll as a coach..definitely not for the Giants…He’s too emotional as I said and to have him calling plays for the Giants just seems comical for me !!!
