Good morning Steve real life comes before UA-cam. Wishing you and yours the best and enjoy being a grandad. Cheers Paul
Hi Steve. We've missed you, but I think most of us do understand that family comes first. Thank you so much for sharing these projects with us. Best of health and prosperity for you and your family.
I couldn't have said it better. Thanks.
Steve, good to see you back, family always comes first.
Those tapping heads are the trick. I have tapped thousands of holes with one attached to a full size floor model drill press. Glad to see you back.
"Hey Adam, my die wrench is bigger" 🤣 Steves back. Saturday mornings are back. Right on 👍🏻
Glad you're back Steve. Missed you. Hope all is well with one of my FAVORITE UA-cam families.
Very happy to see you again. I was worried. Absolutely family and health comes first. Just happy to see you again.
He’s back! 👉🏻Steve Summers 👈🏻. So glad to see you again my friend. Totally understand shit sandwiches and hope you and yours get some ribeye sandwiches instead soon. Until then we are all just glad to hear from you. One of the best channels and most genuine good guys on UA-cam.
Hi Elizabeth. You should get Steve to build you a garage for Johnny Cash!!! Hope everything is getting good for you all and really enjoy Steve's videos.
Steve, good to see you're still kickin, life happens and you deal with it, when you post new content we'll be here! 👍
hi, you do you, take care of your family, we are just going to wait for your come back. Don't apologize for anything, you owe us nothing. Thanks for sharing...
The kind of mind that can figure out how to design a tool like that tapping head just amazes me.
100% you're making the right calls, put your real life and family first. Don't apologize for anything, you owe us nothing.
Steve, I've been living with cluster headaches for 15 years. My worst cluster was up to 8 attacks a day for 7 months. People hear headache and think "so what". They want to compare it to migraines, but they don't come close. Knowing the extraordinary pain and the impact on quality of life as I do, I have enormous respect for your wife fighting on and enormous respect for a committed partner living with the helplessness it will make you feel. Just know that during an attack, there isn't anyone or anything that can provide comfort, no matter how hard they try. Doing your best to understand the condition is the best thing you can do. I'm not a religious man so can only keep you both in my thoughts and wish you the best.
The only thing that really helped me getting a quick relief was inhaling pure oxigen for a couple of minutes
Hey Steve! Good to hear from you buddy. Sorry to hear about your family issues and hope things are improving for you all. As always, greetings from Dorset, UK. 🤝
Ditto
Hi Steve, good to see you back! If you share something going on in your life with friends, it's not really complaining. It's just saying what's going on. A wise man once said something to the effect of "If you share a trouble, that trouble is diminished by half". Anyway, glad to see a new video. Put them out whenever you can, and I will watch them.
Sorry to hear of your struggles Steve. Just remember what Grandma always said: "There's no situation so bad and dismal that it can't be made worse with whining." Bless you and your family.
I´m no doctor, but I suffered from cluster headaches (front right) for years.
Stress is a factor, but since I cut out grains, especially wheat (so no bread and pasta as well, but rice is perfectly fine), those pretty much went away.
Skipping this stuff is an easy thing to try for a while, maybe 2-3 months, and definitely less expensive and harmful than meds.
Glad to see you back we understand life and family always comes first i hope everyone is well again definitely no need to apologize thanks Alan
Missed your content Steve. Family is the most important of all. Good luck on that.
Steve no need to apologize.... Life Happens. Carry on just like you are.. we're behind you all the way.
Hi Steve, great to see you back. We missed you all, and Cora. xx
Steve family always comes first, but it's nice to see you again, I have been thinking that had something gone wrong, pass on my best wishes and regards to all your family and thanks once again for another video well done. John, North East Coast UK 🇬🇧 ❤
Steve I always enjoy your segments, thanks for that what you give us to view . Someone once told me life can be heavy if you carry it all at once ; we do what we can and move forward
Taking care of your family is more important than videos.

Hi Steve, being a retired machinist myself I really enjoy watching your videos . I am happy to see you back and I wish the best for you and your family !
As a beginner in the content creator business I soon realized how much time it really takes so I’m glad you keep your priorities in check, family always comes first. Hope all is going well for you. Thanks for the time you do give us on your videos, always enjoyable!
Glad you’re back and well. Seeing the outside view of the shop by the creek reminded me of the huge amount of work you and Elizabeth did in the shop rebuild project. It’s good to see you jumping into projects again without having to rearrange everything just to get started. Our best to you and the family.
Great to have you back Steve! I assumed you were dealing with the sort of life/family issues we all have to deal with at some time in life.
I had a GMC crew cab dually back in '88 with 454- my wife loved that truck even though it took 2 parking places at the supermarket. My daily driver was a Toyota SR5 pickup.
Congratulations on your grandchild . Hope your mom and dad get well soon .
I have had family issues as well .
So I totally understand what you're going through .
Family first! Prayers for you and your family. Things will get better, take time to get things taken care of.
Hi Steve, Greeting from across the pond (UK), it's great to see you back on the site. Sorry to hear you have been going through a difficult spell. please accept my wishes and hope that things will pick up for you all over the spring and summer.

It is wonderful to see you back making your videos.
You had to prioritize your time, that is totally understandable.👍
Good to see you back with new projects Steve.🙂
You absolutely have your priorities right and ducks in a row.
Take care Steve. Life gets tough at times. Pprayers for for your family.
Hi Steve, you've been missed, but family comes first. Take care of the problems, hope to see you when you can find time for some more great content! I do love the job you did on those trucks! A1 nicely done!
Like the song says "If you'r going through hell, don't slow down". Tapping any kind of stainless is scary and the right lubricant is key.
Sorry to hear about your recent troubles Steve, sometimes life's like that. Good to see you back, and my very best wishes to you and all the family, I hope things improve very soon and you can all enjoy the summer time.
Take care of your family fist, your are a good man
Good to see your smiling face Steve. Stay strong my friend.
Great to see you back Steve and it’s awesome that you have your priorities straight. Family is always first and we’ll be here when you get back. Johnny Cash is looking good lowered and I prefer it with the plain lug nut covers. Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺
No explanation needed your cool man😎
Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time, I hope you've pulled through and everyone is doing well. Looking forward to whatever content you have the time to post, your family comes first as always. Take care.
Good to see you 😊 always enjoy your videos 😊 family always comes first 😊
Do what you can, and leave the rest. Thank you for sharing. Wish you well.
Sorry to hear you all are going through so much chit. Like I've been doing most of my 70 yrs, keep telling yourself, What ever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
I should be coming into all time tempered steel strength any time now...
Re: power tappers
15+ yrs ago, I was reading a random forum post about tapping & the discussion turned to tappers. Never heard of them, knew squat.
Went Googling to learn more, then eBay. There was a Ridgid Tapper listed for $50. I bought it on a hunch.
Turned out the listing was 15 minutes old. The guy'd had it for 10 yrs. Bought it for a project, tapped a dozen holes & it sat on a shelf for 10.
It was brand new. Not anymore; I have a 2nd drill press dedicated to it & yes, it feels like cheating. That's the exact term I used when I told my buddy about it.
Got a 2nd one about 5 yrs ago. Was on Long Island, coming home from dropping wife at work. There was some free paint on the curb; stopped to look & in the grass w/ some electrical stuff w/ a French tapper, the one's that cost 2K.
Opened it up, later, it was like new inside. Gave it to my buddy.
Hang in there, This, too, shall pass. As my old grannie used to say.
GeoD
Glad you posted again, great job! I wish you all the best for your family. Take care.
Sorry to hear Elizebeth suffers with cluster headaches, i am a fellow sufferer . I have never experienced such an acute pain and for a while was eroding my will to carry on. Eventually i was introduced to oxygen therepy and my life became bearable.
Nice to hear from you , Rule number one - take care of your family first !
I have been so worried about your absence. Glad to see you again
Steves back! Hoora! All my best to you and your family in these difficult times.
Sorry to hear you've had some tough times, but like your Kentucky weather, eventually that sunshine and blue skies will return.
Wishing you and yours all the best take care from bonny Scotland 🏴

Welcome back great to see you back with your videos. Hope all your issues work out as you're them to , prayers for you and your family !!!
Hang in there Steve. Your timing with this video is perfect. I have one of these that I acquired from a friend on an old drill press and I wasn't quite sure how it was supposed to work. I think it needs some love, but will be a nice addition to the shop.
I hope everything gets back to normal for you. life really does get in the way sometimes. Always look forward to seeing your videos, however family should always come first. Take care!
Good morning, Steve.
Steve, love to see your videos, hope all gets well soon, Terry from Scotland 👴🏻👍

I worked at a zinc refinery that used sulfuric acid and there much 316 stainless. We had a ball mill similar to that but much larger. (Concrete mix truck size.) I was in production but learned much from our maintenance. Someone told me once I was bird-dogging. I was just learning by watching, nd was sometimes their gopher. I remember welding 316 that it doesn't always stay straight.
Very good video.
Sending love to you and your family from the West Coast! 😍
Welcome Back, Steve! Sorry all of you are having to deal with all that.
Good to see you alive and well Steve, I'm sorry to hear of life's shit sandwiches going your way. I hope things get better for you and Elizabeth and your wider family. Say hi to Elizabeth and I hope her headaches get sorted out soon. Cheers from England Sam
just a little tip to use on using clamps put a coil spring under the clamp and around the thread, it lifts the clamp clear of the workpiece, a real time saver
Your family is the most important part of your life and I for one have so much respect for you and your family and the fact that you put them first, and in today's society that is saying a lot. Great video and good to see you back. Best wishes for all your family.
Good to see you back home thing hopefully home life will get better
Nice to have you back , I wish you all the best and hope the best is ahead!
Good to see you getting some shop time! Things have been off the rails crazy for me too!
Nice to see you again! All the best wishes for your family from Germany!
Hi Steve Family first. Great to see you back
Like others have said, let me emphasize: I always appreciate your videos, but if you can't find the time (family comes first), I'll be around when time allows again. Like for this one. Hope things take a more positive turn for you soon!
So good to hear from you, saddened to hear of the family troubles coming at you and yours like that.
It's a glorious thing when life eases back into some kind of normalcy again. Does make us grateful.
Wondered if some kind of jig on a rotary table would have saved you any time on tapping and finishing the holes on that rim.
Then thought well maybe if you were making 30 of them, or something.
Family first GOOD MAN FOR TCB
I knew it was going to be a good Saturday when I got up this morning. You confirmed it. Great to see you on the UA-cams this morning, Steve. We missed you. Great video.
I wondered where you'd gone, suspected it was life getting a leg up on you. I completely understand the perfect storm!! Been through it too.
I enjoyed this, Steve. Thank you. Good to see you again.
Excellent project, glad you and yours are well.
Welcome back Steve. Best wishes to you and your family.
Dean.
Welcome back Steve! I'm glad things seem to be moving in the right direction for you, the family and your parents.
Good to see you again Steve. No problem on taking a break for life and family. Shows you have your priorities straight.
Good to see you back Steve!
Hey there, Steve, you hang tough! Family First. The sandwich description is spot on, and it surely seems that way. One day and one task at a time, before ya know it, life runs out of bread.
We're all in this together, ask, and you just may receive.
Hi Steve great to see you back I am sorry for all the problems that cropped up but life really sucks sometimes anyway keep on keeping on.
We all have to pick our battles and family comes first
Good to see you Steve!! I hope everyone is on the mend!
