This was one of the very first WWF games I played and I instantly fell in love with it! 💖

I would have been 14 when Wrestlemania 2000 came out. I had WCW/NWO Revenge which me and friends played non stop for over a year. I remember when Wrestlemania 2000 was announced i must have brought every game magazine i could get my hands on. Easily my most hyped game iv waited for.
By the time No Mercy came out i wasn't really into gaming or wrestling anymore. My Cousins owned it tho and talked about it non stop.
Multi player mode every other friday night loved my childhood. My buds would always put up good matches with me.
@@RichSmithson same to me the interest to play a wrestling game was gone but I played it once at a friend's house and as far as I know it was a verry good game the best of the N64 franchise

stephanie mcmahon , jim ross and jerry lawler are in this game and their intro's are missing. Jerry lawler's has his own entrance music while steph and ross share the same theme. Idk if there is any other hidden character he missed. Good quality though.

Honestly, I prefer this game's compressed music, looped titantrons, and blocky models to the stuff we see in modern games, it adds a certain charm to it.

Can we all just take a moment to remember how bad ass the Brood and Gangrel's entrances use to be.
I always named my created wrestler Bloodbath, and I always came out to that entrance haha it was so badass.

This game was such a blast. Graphics obviously look dated now, but the gameplay was so fun that was never an issue. One of my fav 64 games along with ocarina of time, golden eye and perfect dark.
That in ring motion for kane was Kane’s best in ring entrance in any game for that particular kane though
agreed but the loop in his theme was really annoying.
This is like the ONLY Aki wrestling game for N64 to have the decent and right entrances. WCW World Tour, (no entrances) WCW Revenge, (didn’t have the right theme songs) and WWF No Mercy would cut their entrances waaaaayy too short. Like they’d get on the ramp, pose and move on to the match.
Yes.. but why? Was cut for more game play or sumthin?

WM2000 an No Mercy modded together would simply awesome..
The fact that this game had all the original themes included, was such a huge step forward compared to the predecessor WCW/NWO Revenge. I really was amazed back then.

This along with WCW vs NWO revenge was my first experience of playing wrestling video games. Miss these games.
Mine was world Tour and went through until this 2000 . Those were the days !!
Amen To That. I bought me a N64 back in 2012 and those two Gems (Revenge and 2000) from a retro video game store in Manhattan. Still working perfectly
In Addition To No Mercy
No one gets the Bossman attitude era into right. He bangs on the steel steps with his night stick and it makes a loud noise.
This game didn’t have steel steps and No Mercy entrances didn’t go all the way to the ring.
My very first wrestling game. I played this in a cabin my family rented for a week on the Nintendo 64 that was in my bedroom. Good times... This, and No Mercy were AWESOME.
5:47 I hated using D Lo, but his entrance always made me laugh. His polygon head is so funny. Just bobbling erratically and aggressively 😭🤣

Nostalgia. I remember playing this when it came out and it was a huge blizzard out and no school next day just playing it all night with Monday night raw in the background

Another underrated game. People skip this and go straight to No Mercy as if this isn’t basically the same thing lol. Same thing wih SYM and HCTP

No Mercy was simply better. The only thing they messed up were the entrances. Other than that, the game was solid. Doesn't mean this game is any less better. It was the blueprint.
I always preferred this to no mercy
The only thing this game did better was no slow down in four player marches

It really is remarkable how much music they were able to cram into WM 2000 & No Mercy, given the limited storage of an N64 cartridge. Yeah there were some shortcuts taken (edits, loops & reused tracks for multiple wrestlers) and the tracks are extremely compressed, but it doesn't really distract from anything.
🤣🤣🤣 I remember I almost got this game taken from me by my mom because I was playing with the Godfather and she seen the nameplate that read "w/hos" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 GREAT FUCKING DAYS MAN.
Man I remember I had to sneak to my cousin's to play this an WCW/NWO Revenge man I miss these days.
D-lo has his own walk was the small details that make you really appreciate this game

This game held up so good. I still goof around in it for hours over twenty years later.
Does anyone feel that the Big Shows theme took up ~99.9% of the entrance theme space on the cartridge 😅it’s the LONGEST without a loop it seems.
Pat Patterson/Real American had the full first verse thru the chorus then it started over but still a long loop for this game

I think that was a side effect of compressing the themes on the N64’s hardware.

Yup. They probably had to cut the entrances to save power for all the other crazy s**t you could do backstage. Just a guess. They're both classic.
I always had a theory that the developers had a secret unreleased game that combined Revenge and Mania 2000 created just for themselves.

That's actually his character model from Revenge he was a last minute addition to the game.
Man I forgot how compressed everything was for this game. Music, videos, everything. Of course, it didn't matter to me back then. WM2000 was the definitive custom wrestling experience. Entrances, belts, PPV's. It was so good.

I don’t understand how wm 2000 got titantron videos and full entrance and no mercy got neither of those things
They shrank the entrance times so they could use the space for Story Mode (they also removed Gangrel, Dude Love, Mideon, Mean Street Posse and Headbangers from being more than parts for the same reason).
Plus they added the backstage
I was so mad when they didn't have an X-Pac and Kane Tag Team Entrance, cuz that's originally when I came in to watching and loving the business

One of the best videos games ever made spent hours and days winning and losing becoming champion again and again the PG attitude Era me my nephews and a comping young friends my late teens early twenties was a blast but there’s a better version of this game thq not holding the reigns anymore 2k has did a fine job with it but who knows what will happen into the future 2000-2020 graphics have definitely gotten way better and so has the physics 4 player on screen at once little has advanced to having more then 6 on screen but will see what happens next year can they break the record of how many characters can be in the ring at the same time and after this 20 year gap does it even matter ?

Kane's entrance triggers me so bad because the explosion at the beginning isn't synced with the music. His theme music is also altered for some reason. If you compare this game's theme, to the real one, they're completely different. In this game, they basically looped the same section over and over again.
Taker's theme is pretty rough and suffers the same issue with looping.

Ok...why did you have Gangrel come out with the Survivor Series set? Fir Heat and Raw it would have shown him coming up the stage through the ring of fire. Of course it didn't look as good as on TV...but Gangrel had the best entrance in 90s WWF.
