Awesome mechanics guide! :) I like how the t50 no armour shows this is a mechanical boss fight rather than a dps race. On the 4 hieroglyphs at 26:30 : It's actually not because of the stacks, but because of how many shadowsand/devourer realm cycles you do. The fourth time you get dragged to the shadowsands, you get 4 hieroglyphs. This was tested by getting 800-900 stacks before starting phase 4 (the doggos' roar give stacks). It still took four cycles for the 4 hieroglyphs to appear.
Can you read my mind????? Just as I was trying to find a guide for HM Nakatra, this video popped up. I'll have a look at it later, but I'm quite confident that this guide will get me my first HM Nakatra kill, since other guides by you have made me get some first kills at other bosses too!
Even though the general population will have more damage than this setup, it's nice to see how to get through it all. Considering most newcomers to each boss may be in a panicky mindset, and the guide with BiS damage bonuses skip certain things, we (myself included) need to see how to get through it when damage isn't happening at the best output.. Thank you Ryan
19:09 For this mechanic I find it much easier to time the step based on the squares appearing, if you time the step to match the appearance of the 3rd square, you'll get it every time. So using the first 2 to see the rhythm, then click to step on the 3rd.
had a 6 hour bashing my head into it session before this video dropped, didnt know bout the dive refresh, other then that whenever i tried to do those fancier reflects into resos and such it would activate the ability and it would go on cool down but id still die.also the preassure of the last phases floor mechanics always got to me before i could finish it out.thank you for the guide
Just a note for everyone, this fight feels different to traditional bossing for the average player. Movement abilities have always been good, but usually not necessary. You will die a bunch learning this boss and that's actually surprisingly refreshing and rewarding. When you finally get the kill, its so much more satisfying. So dont lose heart, you've got this, and good luck.
One thing I would like to add, my preferred approach for dealing with the scarabs is to soul strike the first one and then threads of fate death guard spec Nakatra to kill the other one so it handles them in a total of three global cooldowns
Yeah I completed this as my first boss on normal mode without dive, darkness and death mark, but I'll do the quests at some point, seems like they help quite a bit
One thing that might be a bug is that on p4, if you get hit with the Soulfire Wave, your movement abilities won’t be reset even if you dodge the Sanctum Hieroglyphs attack.
Fantastic guide as always! I just recently returned and this got me my first hard mode kill with relatively little headache. I’m not quite sure what you have in mind with the “made easy” series, but I was wondering if you could revisit Rasial with a made easy video? He’s still the one boss I consistently struggle on no matter what I try
i would love a rotation explanation with t90s and t95s, as thats what i struggle with the most, i can do nakatra hardmode but i feel like my own rotations are lacking and im not as experienced as you are
Hey Ryan. Do you have any video on how to set better set-up keybinds & bars for manual inputs? There's so many abilities to have at your fingertips but it's also hard to figure out what the best way to set it up without running your fingers into weird far away keys. Necromancy is helping me to ease into this kind of semi manual gameplay because its main rotation, the basics, are so small and it's mainly unleashing the stacks.
what i learned from this video : i need to play dance dance revolution on hardmode before hm nakatra, Ryan either doesnt know or doesnt want to name his hieroglyphs properly, Monke is our savior 2/3 times and that, no matter what setup Ryan uses, there will always be people that will complain in the comments
@@TheRSGuy Yeah lots and lots of practice lol keep up the good content! Videos like this just prove you can get good without best in slot. Just takes little elbow grease and patience I guess lol.
How are you double diving without waiting on cooldown? That took 5 seconds so even with mobile you cant do that. What are you doing here? Is there a codex for this or something? Is there something going on with you using bladed dive then dive?
stand just a few tiles away. not fully MD or 7 tiles away. that way you are only a few tiles from safety, instead of 5+. if you are too fast moving back to your first position, he might do the same pattern b2b. That usually is what trips me up. You can also try to click to move just before the floor explodes, giving you more time. dive can come in clutch, but sadly it is not reset as at nakatra.
i start at max range with necro and when he starts the wave mechanic i walk outwards then inwards and then inwards again touching him. the thing that will mess you up the most is if you get hit by one of the waves he will most likely do it again in the same spot.
I found a method after pillars at max range. You can surge the first one, surge again, and then dive in to avoid them all. You can also just use reflect and chill on 2nd boss.
Shared my thoughts on my stream last week. Price rise doesn't merit a dedicated video (for ref: I have never made a video on a price rise in my channel's 10+ year history)
Neat guide! Something I was wondering about, how much healing did soul split flicking the fight get you? That's a bit of a "sweaty" technique that I wouldn't expect to see in a beginner friendly guide.
It's amazing how you make it all look and sounds so simple (because it is) but when I try it all the knowledge and planning go out the window :D
Watching this makes me realize i have no idea how to pvm
The first step is to accept it, the second is git gud
Same that Obliterate process made me go... uh oh
Your Ambassador guide got me my first kill yesterday, which snowballed into even more, so looking forward to learning this too

does it go up again at 5-8 times going under ?

Dude you make the best guides for all kind of players not just elites . Thanks a lot helped me for couple of bosses zuk hm, solo solak, nakatra etc.

yes this is the best visual indicator for me as well. as soon as the third wave shows up, step in.
Damnnn this is crazy. Hope more guides go this way. 🙏
Noted!
Love this approach to a video. Very refreshing from videos that require late game setups!

That was awesome to watch. Started my own youtube journey recently and youve always been a big inspiration! Keep them up brother!
Your guides are always perfect and always gets me my first kill. I know ill get my first hm nakatra thx to you

Thank you soooo much for this guide, ryan.
Jeez, I feel happy now for once, I have a better setup. 😂😃😅

definitely a good method, especially if you go in groups!
Fantastic video, I really do love this style
This guide would've helped me yesterday after dying to her 12 times in a row. Managed to spoon a shard on the 2nd kc so it made up for it :D
There we go, Ryan carrying all of us to our first boss kills.

I loved this format, can you PLEAASSSEEE do HM Kerapac with necro next?
Finally an hm guide tyy ^^
Could you please make a hardmode guide for the other two bosses please?
Great guide
Good guide! I'm feeling a little more confident to try, it's always just the Shockwave step in phase 3 that worries me
Fantastic guide as always! I just recently returned and this got me my first hard mode kill with relatively little headache.

great work goat
Will try this later with a hellhound and the escape method hoping for first kill 😩

Great! Now when can we expect the Blind Man's Semi-AFK Facetank Normal Mode guide? Lol
The one you call sun I’ve been calling spider and now I feel dumb lol
same
in group mode when all your teammates die and you get so many glyphs to remember its kinda wild the adrenaline rush doing that mechanic
Man, I just want my last grimoire upgrade... I wish I could just dart her.
(casually does some of the hardest challenges ever) "now go get them kills :DDDDDDDDDD"

he has a video on pvm keybinds. It is from 2019, but still quite relevant!
You can keybind to alt keys and shift keys too, I have my vuln bombs on shift-s and my soul split on alt-s

I didn’t know you became a mod wtf? I just seen protox video
awesome
Does phantom make it much easyer?
Great guide but there's a new conjure so you have to remake it :)
How viable would you say melee would be?
Pretty rough, but it can be done
I didn't realize that in p4 nakatra basically doesnt attack you and its all about dodging mechanics. Maybe I can get my first hm kill today
You got this!
Watching this makes me cringe at my pvm skills lol full tier 95 necro and still struggling 😂
Just means you need to practice the mechanics! You got this

Watch again. He said if you evade it resets it
If you dodge the telegraph mechanics, it resets your movement cooldowns.
Why ripper tho? I dont see any hits on nakatara.
Ripper does do damage on Nakatra.
@@WingsofAbsurdity thank you

Almost nothing in this guide, I just do it instinctively / it's muscle memory.
Because my dpm was so low, it didn't have a significant impact.
runescape has weakauras now lol
My biggest challenge with this boss is dead clicks and input lag :^)
Me watching this as if I could ever kill bosses… Maybe I’ll stick to killing cows..😅
Bosses are easier to kill in RS 3 than osrs!
