Alex was interviewed about his chemo and he talked about getting very depressed to the point of crying hysterically I was going through chemo at the same time and thought I was the only one who was going that he helped me a lot during that time. I guess I was luckier than he was I had stage 3b colorectal and anal cancer and survived RIP Alex your passing hit me hard

I am enjoying watching Jeopardy with Ken Jennings. He's doing a bang up job and ALWAYS ends the show with "Thank you, Alex". On another note, I still watch Jeopardy at 8:30 (Mountain Time) with Alex hosting it.
For the past few years, it looked like you were right, the different hosts was hard to watch, but I think Ken Jennings has truly taken ownership of this role
I worked with and knew him for four decades... He was everything you thought he was and more. He loved knowledge and learning was kind, understanding and yes a perfectionist. The day is just not as bright without him... in his memory tell someone you love them... he would like that.
I cried big time when I heard the news, and I have never mourned the loss of a TV host. Alex inspired me to get back in the game with my education and to be the best version of myself. He was very much a mentor to millions of other viewers like myself. Coming from someone who doesn't place much value on celebrities, that really says a lot about Alex and the impact he had on his viewers. He will be sorely missed.
He was an amazing person for fighting cancer for so long... He got to spend his last moments how he wanted. Everyone knows his name whether they watch Jeopardy or not, he will always be remembered. Rest In Peace Alex.
Alex lasted longer than many with the same diagnosis. My uncle passed away right before Christmas 2 years ago from the same prognosis, stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He only survived a few months after the diagnosis. The fact that Alex worked up until his very last days shows just how strong of a man he was. RIP you will be missed by many.
He will be missed. My grandma and I would watch the show whenever my mom and I would travel to Wisconsin to visit her. Jeopardy will never be the same without Alex Trebek. 😢

I think unless you were a truly notable historical figure who had a major impact on any historical events, you're most likely going to be forgotten after your time has passed. That's the sad reality for most people
To be forgotten it's a matter of time, it doesn't matter how historically famous you were, that just extend the time you'll be forgotten, think about this, we don't know how and why the pirámides were built despite the fact that all the time a city was next to them, simply everybody forgot, time is the real enemy!

When someone in the family has cancer, it's like the whole family has cancer ..the four months that my husband was dying of cancer was a huge nightmare
It is a horrible disease. I am fortunate to be a breast cancer survivor, but I have a close friend that has terminal cervical cancer. She is truly suffering and it’s heartbreaking. Alex was an example of how to handle cancer gracefully. A real class act.
I have his Autobiography "The Answer Is..." But I recently discovered that it's available on Audible with both Alex and Ken Jennings narrating it. It's a great story and it's wonderful to hear Alex reading about some of his great hijinx and life experiences!

Been watching Jeopardy since forever. Will miss that confident, authoritative yet soothing voice. He always loved a competitive set of contestants and I think Alex got really fired up with the Tournaments. It’s great having a game show that really encourages learning and knowledge, and a host that was so enthusiastic. RIP.

I learned so much watching jepordy when I was kid im sad he's gone.
As somebody who had close connections with many people that suffered from cancer and died from it, I promise the world that I will help work towards a cure for all cancer. I saw cancer ruin too many lives. I’m done.

My father actually had a chance to be on his game for Jeopardy years ago when I was just a little kid I hardly remember it but that’s one of the memories that I remember most.

Wow, LIFE... What an AMAZING person. He faced what WE ALL must FACE, OUR OWN DEMISE... So scary but so REAL, I can't even IMAGINE how scared he must of been. One thing I know is the GREAT Alex Trebek LIVED a BEAUTIFUL life!

I'll take Greatest Hosts for 1000. This beloved Canadian host was best known for hosting Jeopardy for 37 seasons. Cameron? Who is Alex Trebek? Right.
Dude I’m sad. I’m remembering when I was little I had the ps3, and I had the jeopardy game. I remember that he was my favorite character. I one point I was upset because I could not play as him. RIP to one of the best game show hosts I’ve ever watched.
