Cuantos galones lleva la transmisión y qué tipo de aceite para un 450 diésel farmall
About 15 gallons of HyTran for the transmission and Shell Rotella 15-40 for the engine oil.
@ gracias tengo un farmall M también en MONTEMORELOS estado de Nuevo León México te voy a estar preguntando detalles gracias por tu tiempo saludos.
Looks like a pain in the butt.
Nope not at all
We put the 2-point fast hitch down next to the bead use the hitch, The hydraulics down pressure and tractors weight to break the bead loose. No hammering !
Cool tool. Looks alot better than driving it off. Thank you for sharing
Absolutely!
That tire put up a valiant struggle! When I changed tires on my H was when I bought a screw-type breaker like that. Also from Amazon, I think. They were 15.5's on 16" rims, mounted tubeless and glued on. They probably used either to get them seated. I did buy a 20V DeWalt 1/2" drive ratchet to help out. Wish I would have shot some video when I put the 20.8's on the 856!
Nice lil pair of tools. Had it been me, I would still be beating on that rusty bead. Still a bit of work, but it sure made it easier.
LoL , yeah a little bit of work but definitely not bad to do with the right tools!
Nice video
3:25 I’m worried if your ramp supports scrap unloaded it will bind when loaded. Our trailers supports sit an inch or two off the ground to allow the trailers suspension to settle.
@yota87truck Yeah I cut them shorter as well as made shorter ones for my current deckover.
Would you mind telling me where you had the red super a decal made? Love the looks of this tractor.
Thank you! I had a local print shop scan in the originals then print them out for me.
@ thank you! How is the majic paint holding up? I’ve read a lot of reviews that say it starts losing its shine pretty quick.
@AlanMatthys-i3k so far she's shining and still as red as the day I sprayed it! Hardener is definitely needed in this paint to maintain it's red!
Thank you! You and your videos have been a big help to me. I may have more questions as I get along with my own restore, hope you don’t mind.
@AlanMatthys-i3k shoot me an email with any questions brother, always happy to help! Sevenvalleysfarmalls@gmail.com
But I've done this for a living and you need a real piece of equipment if you're going to be doing that all the time
what once every 3 years?
I worked in a tire shop. We did this all the time. That's what I'm referring to. Also if you are bush hogging a lot and unning over thorns you'd be surprised how many times how to get this s*** pumped out to get the tire fixed. tube or not. It probably mostly happens to people who aggressively use their tractors a lot.
Yeah for a living I absolutely agree but for a few tires here and there this worked beautifully!
Looks good
Thanks!
What did you put in the tank to cut the rust?
I used evaporust on this one but I found it way easier to just fill the tank with white vinegar, salt and water. I did a newer video showing this.
I used the same paint on my red and white 8N. It's an experiment to see how long this cheap paint lasts before it starts to fade.
Yeah Im doing the same, the one tractor is done with the rattle can Rustoleum and the other spray gun with hardener.
Looks great thanks for sharing Looking forward to the next.
Thanks for watching!
Super cool. Drinking, smoking and informative. Naration is awesome!
Lol thanks brother!
Thats what i am using, the Rustoleum Tractor Paint is good paint in spray cans, in gallons or quarts. In spray cans it takes about a month to fully harden but after that is very durable.
Yeah I agree. I did the 450 Diesel in spray cans and the 450 gas out of a spray gun with hardener to compare the 2 after they are reassembled in a future video.
Doing a good job painting a tractor is an incredible amount of work, true labor of love.
Yeah it can definitely be very tedious when making sure to get into every crack and crevice but worth it in the end!
That machine is gonna be a real beauty when you're done!
Thanks brother, yeah I'm happy to have both the 450s in paint before the winter!
Thanks for the video, I was looking for this type of content on that same particular paint earlier today and didn't find much of anything helpful. Looking good!
Your very welcome! Let me know if you have any questions about it!
Nice video, beautiful shine.
Thanks man, yeah I gotta say that I'm impressed with that brand hardener!
AWESOME
Looks great 👍. You're going to have a nice tractor there.
Thanks! Wait till you see the next video!
Like my mom would say you make a Better Door than you do a window LOL
Unfortunately it definitely happens when trying to work around a camera stand lol
Oh I know I was just joking with you I cannot do what you guys do too many moving parts
@billkroczyk3749 lol yeah many times the camera gets bumped and knocked over! 😂
You definitely need a set of 45° wrenches you can get them at hobo Freight Harbor Freight
I hate when people do a restoration and paint everything like the spark plug wires the hose that goes from the carburetor to your air cleaner exaggerating Etc I think it looks so stupid
Nice video
Thanks
Do you still have these. Also how much to purchase and ship. Thanks
Absolutely, I make them all the time! Shoot me an email at sevenvalleysfarmalls@gmail.com
I had a terrible screeching noise in my Farmall Cub -- engine would bog down and die. Just removed my valve cover. All the valves show approximately the same gap -- except one (farthest one to the right). The others touch/nearly touch top to bottom; that one has a 1/4" gap or more. Is it seized?
Sounds like a valve guide wore and seized.
Hey I’m doing a full restoration on my 1948 Farmall cub how much are your steps for a cub I would like to buy me one that’s a good job you done I watch all your videos
@reggienorris3407 shoot me an email brother, sevenvalleysfarmalls@gmail.com
Beautiful work my man! I do though wish that you would not promote aMAZON, I do not know of a more environmentally immoral company . Please people, source your supplies locally, For instance the jam nuts, yes a lot of local suppliers don't keep them in stock, but will gladly order them for you, Every hardware store that I know of, will do this,, And then you can sleep well at night knowing that you are helping out a local business.
Great video on brake replacement, I’ve got an issue on my 50 H though. The linkage that spins the band on mine is more or less completely seized in the tractor and will not spin. The linkage didn’t come out with the cover and I’m not sure how to get it out of the tractor body, was wondering if you had any suggestions, thanks.
Is the hardner necessary?
In this particular paint no its not necessary but it does make it harder and a tad shinier.
why did you not drain the oil when you first got it
Because it wasn't being used so no need to drain it as of yet. Besides if I did change the oil with a leaking injection pump it only would have ruined $40 worth of new oil.
You do great work on these old tractors, I appreciate the camera work and detail you go into. You help give many people the confidence to work on our old tractors. Thanks
Well thank you, thats very nice of you to say!
Interesting video
Thank you
Great job. It's looking good. Looking forward to the next video.
Man that was a lot of play and shaft wear. Loader tractor is first thing that comes to mind. Great video. Thanks for sharing
Yeah she worn thats for sure! Its like new now!
Ive looked at those jacks but still use bottle jacks on wooden blocks. Sometimes I have to remove the whole cast houseing just to get the plug out. Im having problem with no spark after I changed coil , points, condenser on IH 444 with c153. Gotta be shorten out somewhere ? But where ?
Definitely sounds like its grounding out somewhere
@cathymuehring893 check where wire comes out of the distributor to the coils the stud is insulated from the distributor. Also check inside distributor that wire not touching in side
Flat-head 4 banger,, Not so much horsepower but a fair amount of torque for the horsepower it is rated for... I have a FarmAll A, 1945, much much more of a tractor!
Yeah I agree, fun little toys though!
Nice video
Thanks!
Nooooooooooo😢
Out of the tractors they just had ruin such a beautiful tractor
I know, right!
Hell yeah! Lol
Let me guess your a john deere guy
Had a lot of memories as a teenager driving our 1957 450 D. It could lug a load.
Thats awesome, thanks for sharing!
Had Farmall A’s growing up. My Dad’s hobby. Now i have a 57 ih 350 utility and the owners manual and I still am scratching my head on servicing all aspects of Diff, tran, steering, tractor hydraulic and the loader hydraulic. Overwhelming and no step by steps anywhere on the internet. Oil change was simple at least. I’m looking for help.
Great job man learning a lot, I’m painting my Wheelhorse 314A , hood seat pan, foot boards , attach o matic, frame (motor n console left in place), fuel tank support bracket , how much paint you’ll guess I’d need.. I’m using the spectrum cup system from hf. I like your 16 oz mix, that may cover a lot. Trying to figure out how to paint the inside n top of the hood n seat pan , any tips would help. Thanks
Thank you so much! I have a craftsman M110 and the pull cord broke. I ordered the new assembly and replaced it by watching your video. You are the only person who showed how to get the old assembly out easily and how to put the safety cover tabs in. So helpful for a not-so-strong 62 yr old lady. Lol. My mower had the right kind of cup already, thank goodness because i would have never gotten it off by myself. Thank you so much for your clear and helpful information!!! Great video !
Well thank you for the kind words! Im very happy my video helped you out!
The tires on the new rims look great, do you plan on doing a clutch on the 450?
Luckily neither one of the 450s need a clutch but Im sure in the future one will definitely need it lol
The tractor looks good with some new shoes
Yes she does!
@@bourbonbeertractorsandprep9335 it’s nice to see what a little can do to make something look pretty
where you get your tires from?
I bought the one used from a guy on FB market place and the other from a small shop in NY.
Looks mean with the big skins. Enjoyed it thanks.
@timdyer6196 yeah it definitely gives it a tough stance!
@@bourbonbeertractorsandprep9335 Lard works great too.
Sweet coming together 😎🇺🇸😎🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Yeah shes coming along nicely!
