I have a technical question. The 1 Gbit switch is used in the presented video. The HDMI standard requires a transmission speed of approx. 5 Gbit for 1080p / 60 and> 10 Gbit for 4K. It follows that the signal is compressed by the transmitter and decompressed by the receiver. what kind of compression is it?
Dear, you are totally right about the transmission speed requirements if using the FGPA or the SDVoE; However, if it's using the H.265/265, the bandwidth will be compressed down to 5~10MBPS for 1080P and for the 4K30 also under 100MBPS, so with H.264/265 technology, it can work well with the 1G network switch even can work with 1000M network switch; However, with the H.264/265, it will need to add the extra chipsets to process the image quality and latency.
