Can you name another genre of music that often glorifies crime and violence beside rap? What options does it give someone if their idols are proudly promoting crime and state that there is no other way to get forward? ...I'm quite confident to say that rap contributed to many ruined many lives
Well... maybe. I do listen to rock, but I can't remember any case where the sole purpose of song was to tell how villainous the singer is and that the way to success is being like him(I don't mind calling out the government for being crap), yes there are certain rock songs that promote rebellion against norms or oppression or promote the use of drugs/alcohol but I wouldn't call that the same thing... Of course there are certain death metal songs that glorify murder/death, I'm aware of that, I just really hope they are more of a way to shock people(also you can barely understand most, it's just yelling, but when it's bad it's really bad still it's not a personal story)... I probably heard 3 country songs in my life so I can't argue about that(though I think I did hear some nasty shit from some)... I never listened to too much Techno but the ones I heard barely had any lyrics and/or were completely sonsensical... I didn't mean that all rap is bad, there are quite a few that I liked and enjoyed and thought it had a deep meaning but I also think that it did play a part in misleading some children that didn't know better, who didn't have someone to say that this isn't the way this isn't the only way, when someone is in a dire need of an advice little things do matter. To "Hit'Em Up" is not the way...
3:10 The statitics say 72% of every black child is raised in a single parent home, i would not really agree that it's an all race problem or a woman problem.
I would say that it's a BLACK COMMUNITY issue. Men and women. Yeah, the men are fuck skipping out on their kids like that, but a lot of women in the hood fuck around way too much, end up with 6 possible fathers for that baby she's carrying, no wonder daddy never comes around when you got a list of names that kid could belong to. It's rough, but that shit's life and nobody can fix that shit except the black community itself.
People need to understand that just because something is offensive that doesn't mean you can't say it, unless it's a call to action which is illegal. There is something called freedom of speech.
Having a black friend IS the definition of not being racist. Are you serious now? He doesn't have to be a real friend or a best friend of you and just if he is your best friend, then you won't be racist. The fact that you accept him as a person to your company, and accept him as your friend, it just shows that you don't care of his skin's color. You don't judge him for that. The fact that you accept him to be one of your friends shows that you AREN'T RACIST. That's it, you see him as human, and accept him as you accepted the rest of your friends. I don't get people who say:"this is not an answer for not being racist. What does the fact that you have a black friend has to do with the fact that you aren't racist?". As I explained and as the OP explained, IT IS THE EXACT definition of not being racist. He accepts you as a person, that shows that he doesn't care if you are black, he accepts you because the person you are. It isn't an excuse, it is the best and only answer.
you and your mom are lovely, i've been watching reactions of this video for years, i've commented twice (you're the second one). you both seem really thoughtful, really smart. if you'd give it a try, you'd' be able to make a living off of reaction videos. i usually skip all the "talking and analyzing parts", yours were my highlight! exceptional!!!!! regards from germany, whatever you are going to do in your life, stay yourself!!!
Zlowkeyy your mom is so intelligent and together, i just love the way she analysed all the points made by the ignorant racist at the beginning of the video. You're so lucky to have someone with her level of awareness as your parent.
As an Asian, I am actually surprised by you black folks see Tupac as a negative image. I mean if we ever had a leader and visionary like him we would worship him as a god for sure.
People seem to not realize this is song is written by ONE person. Its not the white guy singing the song nor is the black guy in the video. Do some research
all lives matter is not saying "we all ready have equality , shut the fuck up". it is not a protest to your protest either. It is simply saying that everyone's life matters, it is all inclusive . Of course black lives matter , so do asians, and whites and green blue and purple. It is not meant to insult black lives matter. It is a correction to the statment
All lives matter is saying that everyone matters. Most BLM supporters feel that ONLY black lives matter. We are just saying that everybody’s live is precious whether they’re white, black, or blue
Uncle Sam not really its about how unfairly blacks are treated. Black lives matter is a reminder that blacks are treated unfairly and to treat everyone with respect. Obviously all lives matter but you wouldnt be making that a statement if nobody was saying black lives matter

Ps your mum is awesome and you are breathtakingly beautiful, drops to knees and kisses you on the hand. You have a sub from me you beautiful Queen xxxx hugs.
I get her saying that it’s a person problem and not a black man problem but when 70% of the single motherhood is in black communities and based on population statistics food stamps are generally more for blacks I’m sry but yes it’s for everyone but u have to take into account the majorities
i think ppl sag with belts bcuz usually it’s like a designer so they want to show it off. So if they have their pants up all the way their shirt will most likely cover it & they don’t want to tuck their shirt in so they sag so they can still have their shirt down & show off their belt. That’s what i think anyways just a guess
Good reaction..you guys looked at it in an open minded way..White guy had some truths,Black Guy had more..both throwing stereotypes..education and understanding are the only ways we can address this problem
I liked the video a lot. The only thing that bothered me was your moms negativity towards rappers, lookin at them with viewpoints that they're nothing but negative, when she should know better them anyone that any old school rapper from the 90's was rapping about the reflection of their reality. For example Tupac, he may have had some negative songs but you can't let that cross out the fact he avidly supported the black community and had songs filled with hope and wisdom too. And I like JT but I ain't heard him speak out on anything like Eminem has about Donald Trump. We'll take take EM. We appreciate he is standing with us.
Jamison Richardson. 2pac thought the was a gangsta and now he is dead. You really want your kids to idolize that type of bullshit and how can you look up to him?
I don’t agree with her with comparing 2pac to the same as these other rappers out here. Then I don’t agree with Justin Timberlake either I thought she would name someone black instead of another white artist lol
New subscriber here. Mad respect to you and your mom but you should react to more of Joyner Lucas' songs he does alot of songs from different viewpoints
You should've explained to your mom that the guys in the video aren't the ones rapping. Joyner Lucas isnt even in the video and she needed to know that before watching. Just sayin
zlowkeyy Fastest response to a comment ever lol. Yea she would've understood the concept of the video better if she knew the white dude was an actor and not actually saying the things Joyner is saying. I see a lot of people in the comments disagreeing with her opinion on the Tupac line. Tupac wasn't just a rapper he was basically a politician and he was like a modern day black panther. Thats why black people respected him and looked up to him. Im white af by the way I just happened to be cultured. Also Im Canadian so we dont see black people the way a stereotypical "trump supporter" in America does. I love black people yall have always been cool. Also the the reason racism is so ridiculous is because you may not like someone but it has nothing to do with skin colour or race. Its because they are rude or annoying or whatever. Just like the second verse says, racist people pass it on to their children inadvertently and the cycle never stops. Its a shame and I wish it would change for sure. There are definitely racist people up here in Canada but anyone I know aint like that. We love everyone. I could say so much more but I don't wanna make this comment longer than it already is XD
Kaylah House yes oh my god you love trump. Are you telling me that you like a great economy? Are you sayin that you like better trade deals with other countries so our country can do better? Are you sayin that since trump came into office North Korea has stopped shooting rockets over Japan. Are you sayin that when foreigners come into America that they should tell us who they are and have a background check and they should follow the law? What the hell is wrong with you 😂😂😂😂
You don't either, as you probably weren't even born until after he was dead!! I was around. Tupac is one of the greatest rappers ever, and had awesome songs, but he was a dumbass literally in a gang, doing all kinds of bullshit that could only end in death!!! Stonemansteve II actually I was alive And well And just because you don't understand or chose to look at his life with blinders on doesn't make him a dumbass. He lived a life many African Americans felt they had to, both then And now And yet he still preached peace And equality.
Yes, but a lot of people preach that, also both then and now, and I just think, because he's dead, he's seen as something much more than he actually was. He was badass, but for people to strive to be Tupac rather than a Steve Jobs, someone who would buy & sell Tupac, is ridiculous! It's the truest part of the whole song. There can only be so many famous rappers. I miss the guy, but he was far from any god of rap!
Stonemansteve II I see What your trying to say But people look up to tupac because we have more in common with him, he understands the struggle more then Steve Jobs ever could which Is why he garners more respect. Tupac understands the struggle of trying to survive in a neighborhood where any day you could be shot by a cop or your neighbor. Hence the "he was fighting for his life way before he died" line. Steve jobs wouldn't understand that. One of the things he's trying to show Is that too many people are blind to the struggles of others And yet are so quick to judge.
First of all this is never a joke. Second, your daughter is playing you. . . You're misled. Also statistics are a thing... numbers are not biased or racist. About the tupac argument:
Music is allways positiv and tupac was a great man.
