The white side was more racist saying the n word, talking about the stereotypical black dad and the stereotypical black guy but the black side was mentioning things like how cops kill black guys and he talked about the use of the n word. Never once did the black guy mention a white stereotype. Fried chicken was invented in Europe but the point I’m trying to make is in AMERICA, fried chicken is still considered black culture, it’s included as a soul food which is black culture. Scottish may have invented it in Europe or not but it was brought to America by African Americans AND popularized AND spiced. In America, fried chicken is black culture because African Americans are who brought it here.

I'm white, 37 and live in Canada. My family lives in a town where the underground railroad brought slaves to be free here in Canada. It's now a historical site and museum. I loved this song. We are all humans. I don't care what colour your skin is. I just care about your character and whether or not your helping others, even if it's only a little bit. There's too much misinformation out there. Science even says humanity migrated from Africa. We are all brothers and sisters. I wish there was more music like this. I've watched this about 6 times now. I love it. Please think before you act and act how you would want others to act towards you. Borders are just lines in the sand that we as humans draw. At the end they both had gained empathy from hearing eachothers story and that’s how they came to an ‘understanding’. now, of course racism is an issue concerning black people’s lives and white people aren’t the ones who face racism on a day to day basis, so (in my hopefully unbiased opinion) the black side voiced some more legitimate struggles but that STILL doesn’t mean either is right. The white guy said things that had truth to them too and a lot of people are either too afraid to agree or unable to accept that. The delivery wasn’t pleasant so likely your first reaction is to flinch at his excessive use of the n word and want to establish how you could not agree less, but that’s why you need to approach this with a clear mind and see the true message of the video. I’m not gonna lie, at first I found myself agreeing with the black side a bit too much and I had to remind myself that’s the point of the video, to realise I shouldn’t be. Joyner knew what he was doing when he made this and he did it well.
Also, I know it doesn’t matter but I’m 12 so I’m *very* aware I don’t know everything, and I may have completely missed some points myself. Feel free to educate me :)

it’s just bias. As a white male, 15 years old, I agreed more with the white side at first cause I’m white. Of course you’ll be with the side that represents you cause that’s how we are as humans. Like voting, if you agreed with Donald Trump, you’d vote for him, if you agreed with Hillary, you’d vote for her. And that’s one thing people don’t understand. People think all Trump supporters are racist cause they think Trump’s racist, but in reality, (even if it was close) the majority went for Trump because he promised to do more to benefit them than any other candidate did.
And that’s the problem. We can’t come together unless we understand each others points of view and our needs. We’ll stay separated until we no longer see race but that we all can look at a race other than ours, and say, “thats one of my brothers/sisters”

Here's something, I'm white and live in Scotland. I've never spent time with a black person.
Not through me excluding them, just never been in a situation where I'm with black people.
I'd love to sit down with a few of my friends and a few black people and talk about our culture's. We're both humans, but we operate in 2 completely different ways.
I'm definitely not racist, I've never had a bad word to say about any race. I was brought up poor as well.

So I grew up listening to quality rap music my whole life . Joyner Lucas is by far one of the best new rappers out there , you're guys white people impressions is borderline offensive I can't lie . When I first listened to this song I realized what this song will do for both cultures as a whole, especially if you've read all the positive comments on that video . As a decendant and product of generational Irish poverty, trauma, addiction, abuse and mental illness i respect this man and his message so much. I grew up in the hood, government housing and had to fight for being white and poor and hustle my way though school and life in general. So the term white privilege never takes into account all the poor white people that struggle just as much as other minority groups. Were all lumped together by the colour of our skin and not our culture or struggles. Also despite the fact that we suffer and struggle as neighbours and friends away form the medias influence and societal indoctrination that feed those of us who are already broken and angry and looking for someone to blame it on. So theyve created these racist identity politics to divide and conquer becuase united we are a force to be reckoned with..and we are more similar than we realize.
I came back to your channel cuz I respect you putting out this song and not reacitng with hate but understanding with a level head.
