RobbyOwnz I thought the whole point of the video neither side is wholly right and they both come off as ignorant. show both extremes of each race and the similarities between how they feel
Ray Kenwood yea I see your point. The way that I see it is that both sides were insensitive to the other and instead of going against each other we should just accept that we’re the same.
Everybody has faults. The dad is so wise, and it’s honestly so refreshing. Disagrees and agrees with both sides and makes extremely good points about each.
The younger dude doesn't get it. Pops is wise and contains the real knowledge beyond his comprehension. Respect to pops, real perspective and intellect.
This video randomly popped up on my feed after all these years. Deep respects to your dad. He saw the bigger picture. You can tell he's from the military by the way he carries himself with dignity and respect towards himself and others. May he rest among the greatest.
Yes. Obama was the first black president. And that President did more for illegals than he did for black people! Check the facts. There are more whites on state aid. But the numbers of black people on state aid sky rocketed. Tell me what he did for black people name 3 things. I doubt you could say 1. The only thing you can say is he was the first black president, that’s it. No to the race thing. There is no white or black race. That’s ignorance, the media, and government talking! We are the human race. We have many different ethnicities and that’s great. But until the ignorance and hate is gone. This message will fall on def ears that are open. We’ll be at war till the end of time. I got a saying. Racism isn’t a color, it’s a mentality! Peace to all, and to all a goodnight....
Man i’ve watched this video so many times. Im on vacation in thailand right now and saw the vid again. Just got to know your pops passed away and i almost started crying man. He was and is still an amazing person. Such a smart layed back person who enjoys life. Thats one of the best things about all those vids with your dad. Those memory’s will be on video forever and you can always watch them back. Visual memory’s like these: deep conversations, fun conversations, laughing, are a real blessing. A lot of people like me with passed parents dont have that. My condolences bro your dad was and still is a legend.
This shows you the difference in culture as we have teens react who all hated the video until the next guy sang and we have here, an older, wiser earlier generation who actually has some sensible views for both sides
The teens almost ignore the first half. Then go "ooooh" "man thats sooo deep, man that hit me hard." in the second half, already undermining the meaning of understanding both sides. Then the wiser, the one that listens to both sides as he sits on the side lines hearing both cries.
Thank you I’m eleven and I’m so glad I understand the song . There are some people who did not understand the meaning and just had sympathy for the black guy.
Time Killer I can respect that but there are multitudes of better ways for an "11" year old to learn both sides without the use of profound language. I just have a strong belief that kids should enjoy being a kid as long as they can there is plenty of time to learn how much people suck.
I love how your dad thinks and what he said to you.. he wants and actually does raise you well and that is great! I love when I see fathers and sons bond over music and social stuff and talk and debate.. this is how every family dynamic should be! Kudos to you guys! 👏🥰

Both my parents have passed away and what holds me strong are the memories they gave me and knowing I'll see him again in heaven. And pray for you and your family
I'm gonna be honest. As a brown hispanic dude, son of immigrant parents, I look at both sides equally. Having lived in predominately black neighborhoods and gone to black schools as a kid really made me appreciate the progress we've made as a nation. Now, in regards to this video, this dude is getting really hyped when the black dude is rapping but I honestly felt more intuned with the white guy rapping. Why? Because everything said was true and I've witnessed this growing up in the hoods of Atlanta. And this guy really didn't like listening to that part yet interrupted his dad a lot when it was the black dude's part. He obviously has his own cultural/generational biases just like his dad may have. But the more I saw this guy say "That was fire, that was lit!" But stays silent when he hears something he doesn't like is when I realized how bad our society has gone, because it's like we don't listen to what's being said, we're just waiting for our turn to respond back. I just graduated from college and I saw this type of behavior a lot and it's very upsetting. We definitely have race issues in this country, but like the dad said, our cultures also need to hold ourselves accountable for our actions otherwise we will see no true progress made.
I'm a white guy from the Midwest, and I have to say this... God bless your dad. For real. You have a real role model right there, heed his advice and your life will be better for it.
You are very lucky to have a father like that. Wise and level headed enough to sift through the weeds and pull out the real message and ideas, whether he completely agrees with the person or not. Being able to admit your own culture/people have things they need to work on is extremely humbling and allows everyone to join in without it becoming a needless war.
Rest in peace and in power, dad. You are home now, we will see you on the otherside one day, and I can't wait to talk to you about just how much you influenced me and my life. Thank you for your wisdom, and your heart. I am sure that you were an absolute pleasure to know, and your family has been so so blessed to have had you. See you on the otherside, dad ❤

I thought I was alone. I'm self made and pay for my own clothes and shit even though I'm like upper mid. I've never been fishing with my dad or actually had a conversation with him. Deep respects to your dad. He saw the bigger picture. You can tell he's from the military by the way he carries himself with dignity and respect towards himself and others.

Great role for a son to have, really great.

Frs Dad has the biggest heart man!! Like for yes💞

That's what real life experience will do
So true
This shows you the difference in culture as we have teens react who all hated the video until the next guy sang and we have here, an older, wiser earlier generation who actually has some sensible views for both sides
The teens almost ignore the first half. Then go "ooooh" "man thats sooo deep, man that hit me hard." in the second half, already undermining the meaning of understanding both sides. Then the wiser, the one that listens to both sides as he sits on the side lines hearing both cries.
that prove that some human only listen to one side without hearing.
Thank you I’m eleven and I’m so glad I understand the song . There are some people who did not understand the meaning and just had sympathy for the black guy.
Fat boy Gaming you should not be watching this
Time Killer I can respect that but there are multitudes of better ways for an "11" year old to learn both sides without the use of profound language. I just have a strong belief that kids should enjoy being a kid as long as they can there is plenty of time to learn how much people suck.

Facts
Couldn't have said it better i don't think nick actually listened to the song.
I am a brown guy too and I think both of them had their flaws and valid points
Y’all hear that??? (He’s speaking F.A.C.T.S)
Aren’t you doing the same thing if you decided to resonate with the white dude to spite the person reacting in the video?

Man I'm 14 I lost my dad when I was 4. Never had a conversation with him. Shit I barely remember the man. Sometimes I'm glad he's gone, because he abused my mom. But sometimes I wish I could just talk to him one last time. See his face. Ask him about life. But then I snap out of the thought because I know I'll never see him again.
I thought I was alone. I'm self made and pay for my own clothes and shit even though I'm like upper mid. I've never been fishing with my dad or actually had a conversation with him. Cps forced me to live with him cause he was the only one I could live with. I've been arrested multiple times and use to sell drugs and shit but now I just work on music cause its a lot better. I really wish someday he would do something with me but he's leaving in a few days and he's gonna send me to my grandmas and I won't actually spend time with him for probably years now.
