6:52 - I dont think you can mind crush the search target of emergancy call. First e-call is activated, then there is the window to respond. of course no response, then you search on resolution of e-call. Now that you have stratos in hand, you as turn player have the right to move next bc of turn player priority. So in my opinion, there is just no window for the left player to activate mind crush after the right player searched stratos bc he has the right to move (exxcept he passes priority) and of course he would summon stratos right away...
That is untrue. So every single time basically action occurs in the game including on resolution of cards and the completion of chains, there's a check afterwards that proceeds in the order of turn player trigger effect -> non-turn player trigger effect -> turn player quick effect-> non-turn player quick effect. After that check is complete, the gamestate is reset back to open at which time the turn player has priority to activate any spell speed 1 or higher effect. So in this case, you would search for ecall, then on res you check for trigger effects (none exist) then turn player can activate a quick effect such as a trap card then the non turn player can activate a quick effect. That's when you mind crush. The gamestate is not open until that check finishes and you cannot normal summon a monster with priority until the gamestate is open. This check is why you can't say special summon DAD then use turn player priority to normal summon a monster to block someone from bottomless trap holing your DAD. The gamestate is not open until your opponent has the opportunity to respond with a quick effect (BTH) in response to DAD summon. In retro formats specifically it's also why priority on ignition effects works - in that check that occurs on DAD resolution, it's ruled you're allowed to use any monster ignition effect (DAD's effect) as a quick effect, so you use it on the turn player quick effect part of the check before your opponent can use a quick effect in response.
Imo it's not really sharking when someone decides to try and take back a card they played. You flip that card you've already committed to activating it. It's not different than taking your finger off of the chess piece you just moved.
Here's the thing right - you generally want your opponent to plays as optimally as possible if you're prepping for a big event. So it depends on what you want. If your only motivation is to win that sweet box for the profit at locals, then yeah don't let them take anything back, but if you're getting ready for an event, you should let them take it back because you don't necessarily care about winning as much as getting the best testing possible.
Welcome back, Sal!
Hope to see more of him he usually plays the spicy 🌶️ decks

This is why I prefer not playing with priority

Your right usually when I mess up like that I’ll see if my opponent lets me take it back if they don’t I just continue playing
