Haven't watched yet but I already know i'm getting roasted for the dustshoot thing lol, he had 3 in hand at the beginning of my turn but I forgot he crowed my treeborn to go down to 2. In hindsight we could have compromised by putting the dustshoot back in hand (should never have been set in the first place) and letting him mst the mirror force. Shoutout aaron for being honorable about something that 100% would not fly in a larger tournament

Taking the best example doesn’t mean it’s better. Yata gives hidden “bonuses” that are game changing but not necessarily in a default +1 way. Set yata into gorz on attk declaration can win games outright (most good players don’t atk into a gorz unless it can be dealt with, yata negates that), then there’s the obvious +1 by wasting someone’s blind heavy/mst/dust, then there’s the mind game for the rest of the duel where your opponent won’t blind space/dust so your backrow is “protected”, and there’s the bonus of not losing games that you would have otherwise won because of the lp given to your opponent by upstart. Upstart has only 1 outcome and it HAS to hit (like it did in the video) or else all the negative drawbacks kick in. It’s unplayable game 3 against slow decks like frogs for risk of losing to time. My opinion it’s absolutely 1 sided on what is better for Edison for your regular meta deck. (Excluding otk/dragon turbo decks/etc)

Feel like a lot of people hate facing the HAT deck but it might be my favorite to play against personally. I love the backrow reading mind games trying to figure out where the dead artifacts are, playing around trap hole nightmare, etc.

As mentioned from my last duel when I just completely obliterated Ryanide (swift 2-0) , when you play blackwings it is EXTREMELY easy to read the dust tornado. Thats why I got so excited when I drew the blizzard because I knew the backrow was dust tornado. Free sauce, start siding out more traps when you play. Punish them for trying to be hoes & bring that card in against you. I side in double/triple smashing ground to make up for it but also make my deck more active 2nd turn. Basically playing modern. From my experience yata is still better than upstart in Blackwings . Specially because everybody and their mamas side deck dust tornadoes against Blackwings. Game two and three I take out the yatas but I think that's a mistake because the dust tornadoes always come in from my opponent.

I see where I fucked up on game 3 by not grabbing the blizzard instead of kalut then making catastor and getting rid of Goyo. I forgot about catastor effect .... then I made that mistake of the Goyo attacking over the half sirocco, I forgot it was halved. Him drawing thee gale saved him. I had a dead dust the whole time. Ggs Prince . Glad to see those mistakes NEVEER AGAIN!

One of the worst games I’ve played on camera in a while, I was dreading the day this video would drop lol. Usually I don’t autopilot on bringing back treeborn but I did that time and got mega punished. The dust tornado thing is a really tough call to make, things like that are what make frogs one of the most difficult decks to play at a high level

Yeah the dust tornado is so obvious in this matchup it's crazy. Once the shura summon went through, the gale special went through, the attack went through, you automatically know it's dust tornado. That's why I didn't set anything. Could have made stardust and protected from the dust tornado but that would have let him know I had the read on it. When you have the read you don't want your opponent to know because then they can adjust their moves and strategies.
