So great to see you again, and I'm glad you are resuming the "scholarly side of fiber." LOVE the craft room; I find there's not enough content out there for those of us who indulge in a BROAD spectrum of creative pursuits, so still working on mine. 💖

So glad to see you back! Much sympathy on the loss of your Dad & of course your pet. We recently lost our cat (hit by a car). Lovely craft room & wish mine was so organized. Knitting has been a blessing during this pandemic & I have completed many WIPs...socks, sweaters, shawls. 💕

Hi, I love your craft room and your agendio planner.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your Dog, and your Dad.
I lost my Mom and Step -Dad last April...although it’s over a year ago, it is still hard to be without them.
I am currently working on a knitted shawl and the garden is being prepared for planting.
I am blessed to live on a farm in Alberta, Canada. At least through the pandemic, we have had more freedom to move around. Staying home isn’t an issue for me as I love it at home.
I enjoy all your videos, and I am happy you are not going anywhere. ❤️

I feel sorry for what happened earlier this year to you. But life goes on - And I'm glad to see you again here on youtube.
We are still in quarantine - today is Aug 25th, and it started way back March 16th. I had completed several projects on knitting and crochet - and I actually started using a "crafting journal" to keep track of my progress. I've also been working at home since then - giving me more time for myself and for my crafting.

Yes...2020 sucks...I have missed you and have been saving your videos for a time when my husband could be out of the house...lol. We also lost a family member and are still waiting to have a memorial service. My husband retired from teaching middle school this year...he was so sad not to be able to tell his kids goodbye, but was furious to have to learn new software to teach online to students who rarely participated. I’ve been retired for 2 years, and knew he would be “invading my space” in May. I wasn’t quite ready for it to happen in March. And planner? What planner? I don’t even know where mine is now...🤣

Welcome back! I feel your pain, both for your dad and Sonny. 2 weeks ago I had to make the hard decision to put my 9 year old cat to sleep. It's never easy. I have noticed over the years that our fur babies don't seem to live as long as they used to when I was a kid. (I'm 61 now) I think it may have something to do with the quality of the food available these days. Our own food in the stores is 40 percent or more less nutritious than it was 30 years ago it stands to reason that our pets food has suffered as well. Just a theory, but it seems plausible to me. I work in a medical clinic and we never closed so I still work through the week. I'm not a nurse, I'm in an administrative position, it just happens that it's a necessary position. I live in Texarkana which is a border city between Texas and Arkansas and both states have been opening up since the first of May. So far, so good. Weather is getting warmer, if stormier, we actually had 2 tornadoes in the area just a few miles from me and that's a first in the 30 years I've lived here. Luckily no damage and one was over the lake, which actually looked rather cool. Of course people have already put it up on UA-cam, so check it out.
    ua-cam.com/video/U7ToVnuSEiA/v-deo.html
I've been knitting for summer after making a bunch of masks for the clinic, friends and family. Almost completed the Folklore Top by Lion Brand and have started working on The Shortcut Cowl (Stephanie Lotvan) for when the weather turns cool again. Both have been very enjoyable to work on. Next up is going to be the Lost in Time shawl (Johanna Lindhal)and I think I will make at least one in Lion Brand Mandala and I also what to make the Desert Flower shawl and Organic shawl (A la Sascha) and perhaps the Hot Girl Summer Tank Top (2Bossayknits). I took some vacation time this week so I've been out in the studio that I've updated as did a little work in the yard. I purchased a Earlbacher sock knitting machine last winter and I'll be making socks this week that are the full sock, not just a tube I do after thought heels on. That's the plan anyway. Isn't if fun to update rooms? I love hanging out in my craft studio. I have designated areas now that make sense. Sewing, knitting machine area and my weaving area. And a center island that works for all for with a double decker top. (Got that idea off a youtube video, it was made for another quilters sewing room and I loved the idea. I don't do planners, I never stick to them so I can't say I have a favorite one. But I love your weekly scrapbook with the pictures. What a cool idea. Would love to hear more about that someday if you haven't already made a video about it. What kind of book did you use for that? It's great seeing you back, I hope the rest of 2020 behaves for you now.

Have missed you and hope the second half of the year brings you some joy! Life can sure turn quickly! I just reorganized my knitting/guest room by taking out two small bookshelves and am now using an IKEA Billy Bookshelf. What fun it was to organize my yarn in it. Your craft room is gorgeous and so calming. Stay healthy and strong as the knitting community needs you!

So glad to see you again. Sorry for the loss of your Dad and precious dog. My granddaughter finished her last semester online. She has this summer and one more semester and she will have an International Business degree. We homeschooled her so going home and working online made her extremely happy! As a retired English professor, her classes are a mystery to me. I remain her editor. I've been knitting socks, socks and more socks. Crocheting a new kind of double thickness potholder. Works like a charm. I was able to finally hug and hold my great grandson on Mother's Day. Still staying in. Doing a bit of gardening too. My planner is a lovely spiral bound notebook. Since I'm no longer bound by day or time, I just write my schedules and lists. I take care of my daughter who has cerebral MS. She just wants to go shopping! Thank you for the lovely podcast. ❤️

So great to see you! I'm so sorry to hear about your losses of last year. I, too, lost family last year: my only sibling, brother, to cancer and, a few months later, my mother from a tragic car accident. Communicating with people via social media has been the only way I've been able to connect with others, so your familiar face is a very welcome addition. Thank you. Love your craft room.
On a whim, I gave my husband an Intellectual Devotional about American history, and he loves it! He's been reading and enjoying it for years, haha😁. What an unexpected surprise to learn from you about other editions - thank you again. Best to you.

I am very happy to see your episodes are back. Sad and traumatic as the time has been, life does happen. Thank you for the tour of your craft/classroom/video/planner interests. After my first year of knitting, this year has been knit, knit, knit for me. I am so glad to have found this craft even though I have a studio full of many other crafts: rubber stamping and many other paper arts, sewing, watercolor (very beginner), jewelry making and others. But during this pandemic the knitting has really been my focus. I see you have a more recent episode out so I am off to catch up on that next. Thank you.

Hi Kristine. I'm so happy you're back! My condolences to you for your losses. As i listened to you it sounded like you were telling my story. I went through the exact three losses a few years ago within the span of 2 months and I know how hard that is. I'm also a teacher and have been online since our extended 2 week spring break. I definitely will give the journal a try especially since i can do the semester at a time. I'm so glad you're back as i find your channel very interesting and and informative in many useful areas. I hope you're doing well and staying safe. I'm nervous about going back to our campus but will do whatever the powers that be request. Looking forward to more Ewe University.

Isn't it lovely to see how much you have been missed! During this pandemic It can feel So Lonesome sometimes I have done a lot of knitting! I think my Christmas is almost finished. Now that things are letting up I've decided to get more exercise outside than inside. I hope your heart is feeling happier. I've lost my parents when I was younger and my kids were still home. I still miss them everyday, but it doesn't ache as much and I feel them close. My golden died about the same time my mother did. They were such good friends I like to think that they are together. Good luck in your healing. I'm glad you're not gone

Thank you for sharing with us, I had missed you. I am sending you condolences over the death of your father, and the unfortunate circumstances that prevented you from mourning and sharing hugs and stories with your close family and relatives. Thank you for your review about the planners. I keep looking at them, but am leery of another "rabbit hole" so just use a regular bound desk top yearly calendar and write in the back. I do have to be careful about the pens I use though, because the ink does go through. The Agendia does sound like a good idea though.

Sorry to hear about the life struggles you have had. You will get thru the sorrow.
When you were talking about your pet losses, it was obvious the pain was deep. When your family is ready there is always another pet that needs a home. Our beloved Toby went too early and our house was so empty and quiet without him. Then along came Benny... he is another rescue pup that needed a home. We 💟 him.

It was so good to see you. I feel bad about your losses and I am sending you positive thoughts of comfort. I used to have a spare bedroom as my craft room. I repurposed my craft room to a day spa. After I retired from nursing, I became an esthetician and I can see clients at my house. During the pandemic, my knitting mojo has diminished and I have rekindled my sewing passion. I am making masks for family and friends.
I love planners and I have used several different ones over the years. My longtime favorite planner is the Mixed Productions and I started using them during my college days in the 80s.

I really enjoyed your craft room tour. Gave me some really good ideas. As far as planners go, I have used Chaos Intellect for the last several years and I couldn't live without it. It's really for professionals but I am just a retired granny and I use it for everything
On the calendar section I can record all my appointments to the minute and then I highlight them in yellow. When I have kept that appointment or taken care of whatever Item I have on my planner I remove the high light and I can the use it as a diary and see what I did several year back. There is also a section to put notes for each day. There are other sections for contacts, projects, task list...and much more that I don't even use. I believe it's $49 a year. The drawback is if you like to use stickers or write things in pretty inks and decorate it a lot like you do with your journals you can't do that. You can also link it to your cell phone so you have it with you all the time.

Thanks for this latest episode. I really enjoy hearing from you. I am truly sorry for all of the losses you've endured in such a small timeframe... I just moved from the Happy Planner to the Erin Condren petite planner a few weeks ago. I didn't think I needed a daily (versus HP weekly) until I started using one. I'm also using the self care and gratitude journals. And I have an extra 18 month petite calendar for my work assignments... As for knitting, I'm finishing the Palm Canyon video sweater class KAL with Patty Lyons and my first steek project that was also a KAL. So there's been a lot of learning going on! Thanks again for sharing everything with us. Hang in there, my crafty friend! 🌸🌼🌸

In bed, ready to open OverDrive but decided to check out UA-cam channels for tomorrow and THERE YOU ARE!!! So glad to see you. Sorry to hear of your cat and dog passing. Then your dad also passing. What a terrible time to loose a parent or anyone. Keep happy memories close. Finished a slouchy style sweater. Bought a planner from Staples. Good to have so that I can figure out what day it is. Not that I have much to plan

Missed your videos - glad to hear from you. Sorry for all your losses. I have spent as much time organizing my knitting / craft space - as I have knitting. And I've knit a lot! Ravelry stash is all updated - yarn is almost put back in an orderly fashion. Knitting books all added to Ravelry library. Cookbooks, all books, are reorganized. Salvation Army comes the first week in June to pick up items that are going back out into the world. I'm almost ready to try my hand at sewing on my vintage Singer 401A. Agendas foil me. I get all excited and then start and then put them down and feel like a failure for the gaps! I have the first edition of the reMarkable tablet (the 2nd one is being sold now) and I absolutely love it, especially for knitting. I've gone totally paperless. No more pdf's printed out with coffee stains and hash marks to where I can't read the pattern. I just mark the pdf up/erase/re-mark/erase/make my notes, etc. I can download planner pdfs into the reMarkable but that doesn't seem to work either for an agenda.

Hi Monica -- thank you. I think it is so great that you have been organizing everything. I always get into the organization mood after the semester ends. I love that there are perfect planners for each person. I am the total opposite of you -- I have tried using electronic calendars and hate them, haha! Good luck with your sewing! XO

I keep a personal journal binder throughout the year, but it's divided into several sections: spiritual, culture/arts, literary, history/current events, maths/sciences, etc. The very front is an on-going list of "Questions" or "Research" topics. Keeps my mind in constant learning mode. 😊

So glad to see you again. I am so sorry for your losses. My craft room is basically where all my books and supplies are for paper crafts, and painting, with large plastic containers for my knitted items. I moved all my yarn and projects to the living room by my couch so that all my wips could become fos. Finished 2 sweater tops, 2 scarves, 1 hat. Now I am working to use the rest of my stash: one sweater quantity, a blanket quantity (which may be more than 1 shawl), a dozen or so left-over balls, and a handful of new acquisitions. Now to get some designs queued. :-)

What a great way to organize all your books/yarns/tools!! i wish I could sort everything out that way. Those books and shelving units are so heavy -- I move every couple years, and I just don't have the strength to move all that stuff anymore! I have to be really careful about adding anything to my house! So wonderful to have a craft room!
Glad to see you back -- we missed you!! i always enjoy your reports.

So good to see you again. My sincere sympathy for your losses. 2020 has been so difficult so far. I am grateful to have crafting to help deal with all the stress. We recently moved to a new house and I finally have a craft room. I enjoyed seeing yours & might just steal an idea or two. Always looking for a good planner . Currently I’m using the 3 month planner from Erin Condrin which suits my needs.

Hi Kristine. I have missed your videos and glad to see you back. I’m so very sorry for the loss of your father and your beloved fur kid. I lost my father earlier this year as well, and it has been really tough. As for planners, I am currently using a combination of hobonichis (I’m totally in love with the paper they use) as well as digital. I had not been familiar with Agendio, but as a Canadian, will certainly check them out.

So happy to see your video Kristine. I’m so sorry for your losses this year. It has been a very unusual, trying 2020 so far. Thank you for the tour of your craft room. I retired almost two years ago and that is when I really got into knitting, so our office doubles as my knitting room. I love how you organize your yarn and that gives me some ideas as my yarn stash is growing. We have our first grandchild due in September so I have been busy knitting baby items - hats, sweater and blankets. I always look forward to your videos and learn so much from you. Take care. 😊

I am so sorry for all your losses. It has to be so difficult for all who have lost a loved one during COVID and cannot hold a funeral. I wish a could give you a hug - so here's a virtual one. Your new cat, River, is beautiful. Your craft room is so neat and organized. I'm afraid my craft items are spread out and in the basement of our home. However, that seems to work. I have yarn in a large bin with a lid. Art supplies in another room that also has my sewing machine (which is ancient but thankfully still works). I guess one drawback of yarn being in a bin (or two) is that one can lose track of what they have (oh darn). But I do go through it quite often to refresh my memory. It is nothing like your beautiful stash. Great to see you back. I have a family member who is also a university professor, so I understand how disruptive the pandemic is to your career and to the education of eager students. Everyone has been affected in some way, but some more than others. Again, my condolences for all your losses. We must all try to stay positive. Better days are ahead.

Hi Mary -- thank you for your nice comment. I love hearing about your craft storage. Even though most of my yarn is on display, I still go through it at least twice a year to refresh my memory, too. :) Yes, staying positive is important. Luckily I'm kind of a homebody anyway, so I'm not too upset having to stay home. (I do miss being in the classroom, though.) XO

HI Kris! I was so happy to see you made another video! It was fun to see your craft room . The only planner I use is a wall calendar for birthdays and appointments. And another calendar to plan our garden. Each month I have listed what needs to be done and when we plant, fertilize or harvest I mark it on the day it happened. I enjoy not being highly scheduled now and it works since I don't work. I used to make lessons plans and long to do lists when I was a teacher. I don't miss the stress of being busy every minute that's for sure. I look forward to more videos! With love from Monmouth, Oregon, Valerie

Kristine Kelly, my books arrived, I now know why they are at such a reduced price, the print is SUPER small. I need a magnifying glass to read them. I tried with #2 Cheater glasses to read just before bed, but got a headache. I’m looking around house might have a pair of #3 somewhere. If not need to find away to return them. Ugh, so disappointed.
