    Jeff, this table looks amazing! I'm new to this and getting ready to try my first coffee table, but I have trouble getting the pigment to stay up in the resin, even when swirling after it gels. Is there a certain time you add this pigment or do you wait for a certain amount of time to pour it to get the effect? Or do you mix and pour right away?

    • @jeffmackdesigns
      @jeffmackdesigns  4 роки тому

      That is the exothermic reaction from the epoxy curing process. When the resin and the hardener is mixed together, they need to reach a certain temperature to cure. The metallic pigment really amplified the effect!

    • @jeffmackdesigns

    Quick question. How many gallons of epoxy did you use and most importantly how much Mica was mixed in?

    • @jeffmackdesigns
      @jeffmackdesigns  4 роки тому +1

      This pour required about 5 gallons of epoxy and we did 3 teaspoons of pigment. When adding pigment to epoxy, I always recommend starting with a small amount and keep adding more until you are happy with the opacity and colour. Note that the epoxy will look darker in the bucket vs when you pour so we typically add a little more than we think we need.
