    2:49 Backlit keyboard is a lifesaver in dark or low light conditions. 4:23 Anti-glare is the way to go, a must-have feature. 5:53 90 hz will definitely be better especially going forward into the future generations of laptops. 7:09 Awesome background changing capability and super convenient too. 4:43 We deserve at least an 800-1000 nits brightness going into the future for newer model laptops.

      310 nitsis fine for indoors espcially a matte anti-glare screen but 500 nits is ideal for outside use.

    It's a well made laptop. I've the 12th gen Intel i5 model and performance is really smooth thanks to the powerful processor. Pricing is also really competitive. Only downside is just the battery life which is around 6 hours. So this new model with bigger battery is a good update. They should have kept to the same ports. Now it's missing one USB-C

    Just got the i7 version. Pretty good and I actually like it the most important thing is the fans' noise are really tolerable. Fans' frequency are really low and even on serious works still doing its job quietly.

    Quite a mixed bag that came across as a machine perhaps targeted at the office but with a processor that might be more powerful than needed.
    The USB port specs seemed odd. USB 3.2 Gen 1 is 5Gbps, not 20. HDMiI1.4 is disappointing and hopefully compensated for by the USB-C with video out resolution.
    I do like HUAWEI's partitioning, which is eminently sensible. Separating programs from data makes for more efficient backup and imaging and something that I have used for decades.

      Yes, this is an ultrabook. The i9 is overkill for the target audience and maybe Huawei got the i9 discounted so gave this option.

      @draggy725 6 місяців тому +1

      Do you have a pc? You dont need that much Performance when programming so you can also go with relatively cheaper Laptops as long as they feel comfortable to you and you would be comfortable using them for hours (keyboard etc)

      @@shaza2072 do you travel often ? Also do you want to play games on your PC or more powerful Things like rendering etc? Im a cs Student too and I bought a macbook because I do Video editing in my free time, I wouldnt need that much Power for just programming tho. Programming isnt that much of a powerhungry Task. I wanted to buy this Laptop for my mom for Office work and when I have it I could tell you if it's enough but it should be. For programming you just need a relatively good CPU and keyboard for doing long programming Sessions, but maybe also a good screen if you want to watch movies or series on it. A good battery life is important in every Laptop tho, this one should have a pretty good battery life.

    Should have had 32Gb of ram or more if this laptop is selling the CPU capability (like for After Effects or CADs). 16Gb i'd argue is acceptable if this is more catering towards gamers.

    This is by all regards inferior to the 14s which had a 90Hz screen, higher nits, better screen, better ports, just better.
    Still keeping hdmi 1.4 in 2024 just doesn't cut it, not on a laptop which has only one usb C, and that is used for charging.
    Also this doesn't have DDR5, where laptops with half the price do.
    Huawei went from premium to overpriced underspecked in the last year or so, hopefully they get over it

    • @1DonFF
      @1DonFF 6 місяців тому +5

      Not a scam, this is the problem with most new laptops that contain a high performance chip, they’re way too thin! It causes the processor to bottleneck and throttle hard!!!

    • @sevc007
      @sevc007 6 місяців тому +2

      @@1DonFF Still you buy an i9 you think you've got cream of the crop instead you get the bottom of the barrel in terms of cpu performance. Even something like a (un)docked ROG ally might outperform this CPU wise. IMO every laptop manufacturer should at least slap a sticker or something on their product with the sustained power limit for CPU/GPU so you have a better idea of what you're buying.

    • @wantedyou2346
      @wantedyou2346 3 місяці тому

      @@sevc007majority of the people who buy this laptop won't be looking at raw performance, if they were they will be looking elsewhere. Every laptop has a target audience, the audience for this laptop is Everyday light to medium usage that's not going to require a lot of "sustained" performance.

    • @Jack_Sparrow131
      @Jack_Sparrow131 5 місяців тому

      Why? a lot of laptops are soldered RAM (MSI, ASUS, ACER, DELL, HP...etc)
      Personally, am ok with soldered RAM.. but it's not that great to get LPDDR4x RAM in 2024 for mid range Laptop
      LPDDR5, or even standarad DDR4 would been better choice.. but I guess the manefacture wanted that extra $5 to save Lol

    • @shadowbanned4606
      @shadowbanned4606 5 місяців тому

      Because soldered content makes device obsolete in couple years. Waste of resources, enviromental hazard. @@Jack_Sparrow131
      Everything should be replacable. Laptop works fine keyboard/screen, sound... but you can't do anything because of bloatware and spyware. If you could replace CPU. A laptop would be still able to use. Now is a huge piece of junk. Manufacturers are well aware of this. It is organized crime that is running planned obsolescence scam.

  • @Ash_G
    @Ash_G 5 місяців тому +1

    Very stingey on the ports and no SD card reader. Such a shame for an i9 laptop aimed at content makers.
    I think when describing the screen, you should use Apple MacbookPro as a reference. Just tell us if it is as nice or better than what you'd get on Macs.
    I have to buy a new laptop but i know what Windows laptop are like. The thing that you'll stare at the most for the next 7 years can be quite horrible. So am thinking of a WinTel laptop with DCI-P3 screen.
