Would be wonderful should we get him and would 100% be my favourite CB to get in this summer. I really have my doubts though and it's unlikely he'll join unless we can sell him the project or maybe add in some clauses for him in his contract that makes it appealing for him. We'll have to just and see but it's an exciting start to the summer transfer window, that's for sure! 😄

It’s more a win/win than mind games. If Yorro somehow accepts us over Madrid then we could have a better CB than Branthwaite on our hands. If not, then Everton might lower their price in fear of missing out. We’re playing chess, not checkers.

It will be a similar situation with Raphina a couple of years ago. Chelsea had a higher bid accepted by Leeds but the player wanted Barcelona and waited till Leeds accepted a lower bid and he went to Barcelona. This is probably just mind games by United.

If Yoro wants Real Madrid, thats where he will go. If Lille try to force the United move through, he will just see out next season at Lille and accept the nice fat signing bonus from Real Madrid

I think he might consider joining us since hes only 18 and could see it as a development step to eventually end up at madrid at like 24-25 years old.

So i'd rather we focus on players that actually want to play for the club and not use the club as a stepping stone (at least not so early in their career).

I don’t understand your question about player power in this situation? He has a contract with a year left. He can just stay for that year as is his right. He doesn’t need to go on strike.

As much as I would want him to join the club, we shouldn't have someone who's heart isn't set on us. He's a good player, but we will be lamenting because of player power. The way he and his agent are moving are red flags.

He might be a free agent next summer, but Lille will still get compensation out of it with him being under 23. They take into account previous offers too, so Lille will still get a decent fee next summer if Yoro stands his ground, but they won't get any higher than we've offered.

I think the play here is, if he accepts to join there would be a pact maybe in the contract that he can sign for Madrid for X amount from 2026 rising each year till the end of his contract. Maybe, would you be fine with that??

My guess is that united have a deal with De ligt & are using that deal as a reference for other center backs.
Effectively Brainthwaite is worth 10mil or so more than De ligt & yoro is worth samr money but more potential upside so is preferred over De ligt

Yeh, he's not agreed any terms with us and publicly said he wants to join Real Madrid. it's not a big surprise that Lille would accept 50m offer for him when he's got a year left on his contract! And if we do get him, he'll want to leave the minute Real Madrid show interest in him.
Of course he can reject the contract lol, he can keep turning up for training and being available for games and he's not in breach of contract at all. Theres no obligation for him to accept the united offer

I’m getting a little excited about the future of Man United than I have for many seasons
My feeling on Yoro is that we'll pitch him the project with a potential clause that he can leave to Madrid for £80m like Ronaldo. He can do 5 years for us, win things, do great and still be 23. He can move to Madrid when he's 25 and still do about 8 years there
He may end up at Madrid but United are sending message to Everton and transfer market in general that they are no longer ready to splash high prices and that they will try other options..
If send one of our guys over there to talk with Leny Yoro. Lets send Van Nistelroy and tell him that we see you as a key player taking over Raphael Varane spot it will make a difference. We are not a club that dont play tournaments any more. At least were playing European football next season and tell him that we are building up a brand new team and is priority for us. That will change things and put things in a different perspective for young Yoro. The fact that the sallery is way higher than Real Madrid is a big deal here. I think this is a opertunety that Lille dont want to let go and they say youte leaving he will go to United.

Keep todibo, yoro wants to play with the best players in the world. Mbappe, Vini Jr, Rodrygo, Modric, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Militao, Carvajal, Courtois...
Players under contract need to agree to any change to that contract. They cannot be forced to leave if they do not agree to it. A club can make life uncomfortable, just as a player who wants to leave can make things uncomfortable, but any transfer involves ageement from both clubs and the player. Any of the three can say no.
It's like trying to sign Mbappe when he wants Real Madrid

There's been previous windows where the majority of supporters, and this channel included, have thuoght the transfer window was a success, thinking we're going to win the league or be serious title contenders. Just go back and look at the videos on this channel during the window where we re-signed Ronaldo. Very few people thought it was a bad window then.

The problem, or issue we must consider is if I player is willing to PLAY for us if they arrive. I'd hate to see a situation where Yoro is 'forced' in to a move to us when his heart is set on Madrid. I think our criteria must be 1. Quality player, 2 Right price. 3. must reallt want to play and be committed to us. and not just sit back and take his wages.
