To hell, Manchester United have conceided the least amount of goals or threat from the right position when Wan Bissaka plays, compared to Dalot. Besides, opposition attackers love it when Dalot plays right back. Yes, Wan Bissaka can improve more on his attacking but his primary duty is to defend.

If we can negotiate a straight swap then this makes perfect business sense. Dumfries is a slight upgrade overall on AWB, it resolves the contract issues for both parties and wouldn't cost us a penny leaving us with a bit more to spend on decent LB cover for Shaw. I don't often enjoy being proved wrong but INEOS are cooking!
It's a great move and a smart one. Dalot could not defend well last 2 seasons ago but now he has improved greatly I believe Dumfries will also improve base on competition level. Ineos are doing well.
I think there’s a lot of Logic to it. He won’t necessarily threaten Dalot and we can effectively use him for extra height and attacking ability (which we severely lack) and if we sign him on a 3 year contract, he can possibly be moved for what would effectively be free £££. Given the options, this seems like a smart and pragmatic move while also giving AWB what he wants (respect to him for wanting Inter) so that all parties are happy.
Actually feel like this move makes a lot of sense for both parties. AWB is a solid defender and I think he would do well in Inzaghi's system as a RCB versus a RWB. For Ten Hag and United Dumfries offers a closer option in profile to Dalot which means the Progressions and Ideas wouldn't change when rotating either player in or out. Of all the deals that seem to be churned in the rumor mill this one just feels like a cut and dry "20 mil + a gentlemen's handshake" and your it solves a problem for everybody.
We need like for like options on the bench and having the choice between Dalot and Dumfries is a step in the right direction. No more of this sacrificing our tactical plan when ever we need to make a sub and while I'll miss AWB, he just doesn't suit a possession based side that plays a high line.

Knowing him very well as an ajax fan. The guy doesnt lose the ball.
I would take Dumfries because he's a player who can match the input in the team. Not saying his cam take Dalot of the starting 11 but if in a case where Dalot is injured, we can expect Dumfries to provide the same level Dalot would.

Amass is young and the expectations shouldn't be too high, Malacia is still in recovery and only God knows how long he'll be out. If an investment will be made in the fullback position in this transfer window, let it be on the left hand side. There needs to be quality and stability for Rashford to thrive.

This would be a great move I think. Dumfries is very physical so can probably keep up with the premier league. He is also way more attack-minded than AWB so that's an upgrade there. He can make great runs, makes progressive passed and get the ball up in front of the goal. Would be a phenomenal deal imo, especially if AWB would be lost for free otherwise

Dumfries is a good player and has also been playing very consistently for the Dutch national team under both Van Gaal and Koeman. Dumfries benches Dalot any day. AWB is underrated, he makes mistakes sometimes but he saves us way more than he makes mistakes. That move against City where he sat Rodri down is why I prefer him, he makes the move and plays a short pass that's why we barely appreciate him. But having that flare and swag boosts the noise in the stadium and pushes the players to perform better. Another example is that tackle against Zaha in the final minutes of the game, it was a match winning tackle. If that was Dalot it would've been a penalty for sure

Dont really like the idea of getting Dumfries. He's a decent player, but at his best in formation with wingbacks. He's got a couple of useful qualities like he's strong, great stamina and workrate, good in the air an will be involved in a goal every now and then. At the same time he's technically so very limited. His passing game, crossing, dribbling and first touch is not there. Defensively also not that great. If the aim for Manchester in time is to play possesion based football like Ajax did under Ten Hag, then I simply dont see how Dumfries is going to fit in there. Imo, Mazraoui would fit that profile a lot better. Technically an excellent player and one who will also have no problems playing as a full back, an inverted back on the right side or even as a leftback in times of need. If injury proneness is too big of a problem or if West Ham Will sign him first, then hope Man U will search on for a player with a different profile then Dumfries.

I have lost count how many times Wan Bissaka has been caught out of position, lost his man or been caught on the wrong side of his man in the last 3 years. When he is caught out he often shows no desire and simply jogs back. I’ve heard all the hype / rubbish about ‘best 1-1 defender’ etc etc. That’s only because there are stats for tackles and ball recoveries etc. There are no stats kept for ‘being directly responsible for leaking goals’ and ‘losing your man’. He was solid at Palace but never worth 50M. Desperation purchase and have and it has cost us points on countless occasions.

If it was a like for like swap, id do it but my preference is Frimpong. Lightning quick, great crosser and decent defensively.

Excuse the scepticism but, we are told Dumfries is an upgrade on AWB. So why would Inter want to take a player who is a downgrade on Dumfries. Doesn't make sense. I would be very sceptical if this would go any further.
This would be a great move I think. Dumfries is very physical so can probably keep up with the premier league. He is also way more attack-minded than AWB so that's an upgrade there. He can make great runs, makes progressive passed and get the ball up in front of the goal. Would be a phenomenal deal imo, especially if AWB would be lost for free otherwise
His pass completion rate is 41%. It's not good enough for an attacking defender.

Dumfries is a good player and has also been playing very consistently for the Dutch national team under both Van Gaal and Koeman. I'm not saying he's a top 5 rb or anything, i'm just saying that this would be a really good swapdeal and it can offer united more goalthreat and also a lot of energy. We need more squaddepth and AWB doesn't really fit an attacking style of football, so why not swap?

Dumfries will be great addition and will push dalot more. Only downside if ten hag will ignore dalot again and will play dumfries in front of him.
Idk why people wanna get rid on AWB, he is is a good defender and often shows great skills as attacking RB. I dont want anymore Dutch players at ManU, this will be Dutch national team if they keep this way.
Dumfries benches Dalot any day. AWB is underrated, he makes mistakes sometimes but he saves us way more than he makes mistakes. That move against City where he sat Rodri down is why I prefer him, he makes the move and plays a short pass that's why we barely appreciate him. But having that flare and swag boosts the noise in the stadium and pushes the players to perform better. Another example is that tackle against Zaha in the final minutes of the game, it was a match winning tackle. If that was Dalot it would've been a penalty for sure

Dumfries is a very good defender he's a beast but also hes better offensively than Wan Bissaka aswell so if this is a straight swap then i wouldn't oppose to it at all
Dumfries is 28. Wan bisakka is 26. We should get money + dumfires from inter. Inability to sell players for good money has been an issue for us and it doesn't seem to change this window either
I'm a fan of Dalot, but Dumfries would improve the defence. Dalot did a lot of mistakes last year, even though being an offensive menace.
I just don't think Dumfries will be interested in sitting on the bench and I want Dalot to be our starting RB.
So while I think it's a good deal on paper, it just doesn't make sense in practice.

Dont really like the idea of getting Dumfries. He's a decent player, but at his best in formation with wingbacks. He's got a couple of useful qualities like he's strong, great stamina and workrate, good in the air an will be involved in a goal every now and then. At the same time he's technically so very limited. His passing game, crossing, dribbling and first touch is not there. Defensively also not that great. If the aim for Manchester in time is to play possesion based football like Ajax did under Ten Hag, then I simply dont see how Dumfries is going to fit in there.
Imo, Mazraoui would fit that profile a lot better. Technically an excellent player and one who will also have no problems playing as a full back, an inverted back on the right side or even as a leftback in times of need. If injury proneness is too big of a problem or if West Ham Will sign him first, then hope Man U will search on for a player with a different profile then Dumfries.

I have lost count how many times Wan Bissaka has been caught out of position, lost his man or been caught on the wrong side of his man in the last 3 years. When he is caught out he often shows no desire and simply jogs back. I’ve heard all the hype / rubbish about ‘best 1-1 defender’ etc etc. That’s only because there are stats for tackles and ball recoveries etc. There are no stats kept for ‘being directly responsible for leaking goals’ and ‘losing your man’. He was solid at Palace but never worth 50M. Desperation purchase and have and it has cost us points on countless occasions.
Since dalot can play very good as a Lb, it will be good signing as Dalot can play in the absence of Shaw , squad depth is important
