@@enjolras76 it hasn't been spelled that way in many, many decades. Anyway jail/gaol is not the same as prison. If you do 15 years you must be imprisoned, jail is more like "the cells" in the UK and "lock up" in America. It's where you go to be charged/interrogated etc. Using old fashioned ways of speaking is fine if you commit to it but since you're using the more modern way of spelling and grammar in the rest of your comment I wonder then why you are so keen to keep using only specific words that have been lost to time? Does it make you feel superior in some manner?

John is one of the best singers Australia has ever had. I can't believe he's 75 now and he survived cancer. What a legend.
