LAUK Lovers Dream NASI LEMAK + SATAY SAUCE Hot Pot AKA Satay Celup | Malacca FULL Day Of Eating
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 сер 2019
- The final day in Malcca. I will be real with you all, I was so sad to leave this little city. It has such a nice charm to it and it really made me fall for it’s food and slow pace lifestyle.
That being said, I really went out with a bang and a full stomach!
Prawn cracker noodles with fish balls. The prawn crackers were on point while double noodles is always a good choice. I solid bowl of noodles to start the day.
Next up I was craving some roasted meats so I had to go to this place. Loved the way you get a thing of rice and can just pile on whatever you want. The BBQ isn’t as good as what I am used too, but the gravy and add ons really helped elevate this dish.
Time for some sweets. And sweets I ate. I had one too many Baba Charlie Nyonya Kuih which really got my blood pressure rising and me feeling good!
If that wasn’t enough sweet, I went all the way out to Klebang for their legendary coconut shake. A nice slushy texture until you stir in that vanilla ice cream and it develops into a milkshake consistency which I was wanting.
The main show, Satay Celup. All I can say is, Awesome! Wow, really enjoyed this style of meal, but it is just meant to be had and celebrated with others, so if you go make sure to bring lots of friends!
Lastly, I had been wanting to eat at this Nasi Lemak place my whole time in Malacca and it wasn’t until today that my wish was granted! I was extremely excited to get in here and just pile a plate high with goodies!

Much love,
Max
Thats how you slurp any noodle and drink the soup. Show em how its done. Much love
If i know u were here.... Huuu
You should try Ayam Percik, Nasi Kerabu, etc. If you wish to taste Sarawak Laksa, there is a cafe called Salted in KL.
Let us keep on slurping!
would have been cool to meet up!
New subscriber here. I’m probably one of those who were drawn by your joie de vivre. It shows through your videos. Another thing worth mentioning is how you eat your hands and how you’re not afraid to dig in. You know how to mix the entrees with the condiments and how each handful is a personalized flavor bomb. I bet your palate will never be the same after your trip in Asia. I wish nothing but success for you, Max!
wow, what a wonderful comment! Thank you so much and I agree! That is because it is changing for the better!! Thanks again for this comment, it was awesome!
Loving how you seem more relaxed and humorous. Love seeing that natural self (if that's how you really are. No pressure). Enjoy and stay safe.
slowlyyyy getting there ha takes time I guess
Max, your level of enthusiasm tasting all the different kinds of kueh is just A-AWESOME!
mannnn, I was like a kid in a candy shop 😂
Finally a westerner who eats PETAI! Petai is da bomb but the best part is when you pee after that. Smell familiar?
haha definitely funky. but sambal petai all day long
So. Is ASPARAGUS.
So is KERDAS. Even funkier and tastier
Max, your ability to handle all things spicy is amazing! Best of all you really seem to enjoy the food and is honest when something not to your liking or disappoints you. Please keep up those candid reviews. For a mid west American, your gutsy appreciation of really yummy Asian food put most locals to shame!
Dude, you even did the Satay Culup!!! All I can say is that you did Malacca proud. Well done. Can’t wait for Penang. Safe travels!
editing Penang now! I got 5 videos but had 7 ideas hahaha
Nasi lemak nya mantull, lauk nya banyak pilihannya, apa lagi sambal goreng pete nya, 😘😘😘
Having my meal while watching his videos just makes my food taste better.

Oh yeah! Melaka nyonya kueh is the best desert! You got it, Max!!
Hi Max, so enjoying to see you love Malacca food. There are many more places to discover the wonders of food in this Historical City.
Yesss, I agree. Unfortunately...I ran out of time!
Wow Max , That was a humdinger of a show . My favs were the pastries, especially the green coconut covered chewy ones mmmmm , and the hot pot . Can't wait to see what you have in store . Happy trails bro.
Penang is unreal. so I am excited to release those! Yeah, this day...I was in a food coma forsure

You're so good, the way you talking, eating and shooting 👍
Oh yeah, the details are perfect 👍👍
🙏🙏🙏
I stumbled upon your video today and damn I'm hooked. Great to see you exploring foods here in Malaysia. Hats off to you for trying petai/stinky beans. I don't even eat it coz I hate the foul smell. 😅
Gonna enjoy your video some more. Hello from your new Malaysian's subscriber. 😊
Here I am at work hungry, on a coffee break watching you eat delicious foods while i hear my stomach yelling at me LMAO.. ugh! wow everything looks fantastic Max
hahaha my bad on the timing lolz
Those dishes for the nasi lemak look so good! The petai definitely got my attention too. Good choice on the ayam rendang too, even if just for the sauce
haha yall know we are about that sauce life!
Char Siu & Siu Yuk looks like a great spread - chili oil, long beans, greens, rice, fried egg and curry broth. You really can’t go wrong pairing that with the roast pork
exactly. rice and then pile on goodies.... yeah that's my style of eating
Great video - engaging and informative! 👏👏👏
Excited for your penang slurpy yummy food discovery!!!
Ohhhh i cannot wait either!
U should be tv host for local food here in malaysia like the UK guy, Rhys William... booommm..👍👍👍
heyyyyy yessssssss.Ban lee satay celup . i ate here before. very nice lo the sauce. friendly staff. and cheap.
:D
Drooling over the nonya pancake and banana sauce and satay celup... Can't decide if I should watch your show on a full or empty stomach. I'm hungry either way... Hahaha. Thanks for the great content
lolz maybe snack during so you start hungry and end full just like me😂
Those green rice balls with Gula Melaka inside are called Ondeh Ondeh! Flavour-texture bomb. And the addition of the sesame seeds is genius. We usually only get ondeh-ondeh, kueh kosui and Nasi Lemak from baba Charlie. Their Nasi Lemak has a pretty decent sambal.
And did you know that Klebang coconut shake used to be a tiny, rundown shack by the side of the road. I always try to visit the kway tiao fishball soup spot as well. Grew up eating at their previous location when we went to visit family in Melaka.
Great video once again brother. I’ll be contacting you for your fav nonya restaurant in Melaka soon!
Heyyy, good to know the name! Thank you! Hmmm, I didnt realize that, but has that become the "to go" coconut shake stall? I saw there were two places to get the coconut shake from. And how can the ondeh-ondeh not be good? especially freshly cooked like that. thanks man, feel free to message me on IG or send me an email.
Congrates.. you ate petai! 👍🏼😎
Oh u came to my city. I commented on your another video asking you to come 😊🤣

The satay celup u pick is a local pick 👍 nasi lemak bungus in the coconut shake there are good too

haha enjoy your meal!
@@Macoi24 thank you 👍❤
Wow. I should have gone there.
Man... that hot pot looks tempting🤤🤤
Great video. Melaka food is heavily spiced and flavoured. Melaka was once conquered by Portugal and then Holland to control the spice trade. Satay celup a must have with pork and seafood.
exactly!
Satay ayam baozi are an example of fusion food that caters to your market. Chinese bun with an Indonesian-originated chicken recipe that Muslims and Hindus can eat.
The satay celup is another dish on my hit list.
Max, Everything looks so fresh and delicious! I would have been disappointed about the lack of durian in the dessert too. Love my durian! - Mike
I knowwwww, it had almost zero durian taste...ugh
Max McFarlin, I just had my last durian here in the Philippines because it’s out of season now. So very sad! 😭 Hahahaha!

Your southern accent keeps me coming back 😋
