Highly recommend checking out Crutch by Ren ft. BiBi. It was done about 7 years ago, prior to his diagnosis and in the thick of his illness. Especially poignant now in relation to his Chapters series.
The Charismatic Voice did an interview with REN about 6 months ago that I think you’ll enjoy. They discuss making videos, recording and mixing busking, writing songs. He’s also done interviews on UA-cam with Justin Hawkins, Chris Liepe, Knox Hill, Black Pegasus and Rosalie Elliot.
Ren has said that the Police and Sting are a big influence. Reggae and rock were his staple early diet so it makes sense the Police hit a certain button with him.
