Good to see The Boring Company is still making progress, albeit ever so slowly... I wonder if they ever did beat Gary the Snail... If you could get TBC as a contractor, they might just make tunnelling for all projects including subway systems affordable again... Especially compared to the existing disasters that are the Ontario Line in Toronto and the Second Avenue Subway in Manhattan which are making both slow and expensive progress across both Yorks...
Did you expect building a subway anywhere in NY to be a rapid process? There is a lot of infrastructure in the way of anywhere you want to bore tunnels underground... no matter the contractor, it's going to take a long time
Tesla is testing robo-taxi and Optimus robot teleoperation, expanding Cyber Cab globally, settling a lawsuit with Rivian, and introducing smart summon in Europe. SpaceX gets FAA approval for more Starship launches. The Boring Company advances tunnel construction technology.
Going on memory - you can reverse engineer the size of the battery and charge time. It is something like a 1/3rd the size of a regular EV battery and will charge in something like 30 minutes between peak ride times. This might sound terrible at first glance but it all helps bring down the weight so that Tesla is essentially selling rides at 10% the raw cost of an Uber ride.
The UK should pass a law forcing all gas pumps to deactivate if the person takes their hand from the pump for any reason. Then lock the system until it is paid for. I am sure that safety measure would pass easily.
In the UK, ASS has been nerfed to the point where it's just a novelty. That's not the only feature to be compromised. All Tesla's driving assists, including FSD, have long been watered down versions of the real thing. It's nobody's fault. Tesla tends to be California centric and the EU/UK are very much stricter when it comes to safety. However, what is ludicrous is that in order to help get an excellent safety rating, all vehicles in the EU/UK have to have some form of driver assist. And the truth is, some of them will kill you if you rely on them [step up VW]. At least with Tesla's even nerfed versions that's much less likely to happen, though owners\drivers shouldn't take it for granted, which is what happens in the USA.
Tesla should start the cybercab in the easiest areas first. As cybercab increases in reliability over the years Tesla can add cybercabs to areas with more difficult driving conditions.
The Cybercab looks like a little sports car. And the doors! I’d rather drive it than chauffeur. Imagine if the roof was detachable. Most people don’t want a rocket, just a nice little sports car. Some people actually enjoy driving themselves too, if not all the time. Driving steeds is in our DNA. I’d invest more in stopping military action (killing each other DNA) than about taking an occasional ride. I’m glad Musk isn’t into violence, he can accomplish goals others couldn’t/wouldn’t try.

I have great hopes for the Boring Company products. If they keep refining it and make it more cost effective, than goverments need to evalute the use for infrastructure projects. Hope to have a politician see the potential the product offers, so the first pilot projects can start giving insight in their use and costs. Could be a game changer for infra!
1:28 Completely incorrect. Cruise absolutely had remote advisors. This is seen in multiple interviews and even mentioned in official Cruise events found on UA-cam. The reason for the blockage of multiple robotaxis was that in high population density events, such as concerts, caused cellular disruption and total loss of telematic connectivity. This not only prevented the robotaxis to receive new pick up/ drop off directions, but also inhibited the Cruise remote advisors from intervening and plotting a “bread crumb trail” of pin drops which would normally allows the vehicles to follow said path autonomously.

The whole Philosophy of EVs was wrong from the very start thanks to Musk and Company.... Ask yourself where the electricity is coming from to drive all the EVs..... It coming from generators....revolving machines to drive revolving machines. And what drives the revolving machines mostly? Answer....Fossil fuels. The efficiency of the generators and the wires connecting to the grid and eventually to the EVs is not anywhere near 30%....almost the same as ICE vehicles..... To accommodate tens of millions of EV here in the UK, more electrical generators will be required and the distribution network upgraded. Electric storage and pumped hydro will help, but they would help if EVs were not taken up anyway. The only reason apparently for EVs is climate change and if climate change is real, then it is to late because it has taken over 100 years of industrialisation and the burning of coal to get to this point and it will take thousands of years to correct it. Whatever, you do not get something for nothing, and the growing demand for energy. just means more burning of fossil fuels and there is no getting away from this fact. I think the CyberCab could use a rear window.
It looks pretty claustrophobic in there.
Passengers rarely look out the back window, as front and side views are sufficient and there will likely be a screen and rear view cameras available
