Eddie once said he thought VanHalen wasn't a good cover band. Well they made "You really got me" and "Pretty Woman" great hits eclipsing the original artist rendering of the songs.
Ed was pretty delusional and culturally illiterate despite being one of the greatest instrumentalists of our time. Just because he's a guitar master doesn't mean he's right about everything. He had many holes in his game. That's why VH was best when everybody had their own special roles. Ed just played guitar.
@@Whaddayamean13 that'd be a solely opinionated thing he probably just thought they couldn't fully get the same feeling behind the song that the original did
@@Whaddayamean13Such an ignorant statement. Eddie was the sole composer of the Van Halen catalog in all it's iterations. Van Halen goes nowhere without Eddie.
@@mr.brenman2132 no he wasn’t. He had no role in composing vocal melodies and certainly not writing any lyrics. On the first three albums, Ed only had a riff and basic idea for a solo and the rest of the band hammered it out from there. Consequently, why the best VH material comes from the first three albums. When every band member stuck to what they did best. It wasn’t Eddie and Friends despite what you’ve been tricked into thinking
@@Whaddayamean13 Fair Warning is arguably their best album so I couldn't disagree with that statement more. The riff is everything. You don't have a song unless Eddie comes up with something. The other members were important but Eddie was the compositional powerhouse. Eddie's groundbreaking guitar work makes the band stand out. You completely contradict yourself. You call Eddie culturally illiterate but acknowledge the changing sound of the band that was all Eddie's doing. He made it work with Roth and he made it work with Hagar. Two completely different vocalists and song writers. Culture followed Eddie he didn't follow it.
Holy SHIT!!!! He sounds AWESOME!!!!
Just once you get over the wait how does this work with Sammy’s style but it does
THE BEST IN MY SOUL
Excelente version chabon!

Eddie is like a Gangster here
Con David, era otra cosa...
Sammy falls @ 2:36
Gibson Fan 01, is he still there?
@@cmikesmith664 yes Sammy is still alive.
Gibson Fan 01, oh, that’s good. I was worried, since I never saw him get up. 🥴
Sammy said he was fired but Eddie said Sammy just quit. Who do you believe?
Sammy.
It's a shame that Sammy left that year
Jesus. AVH looking like he should be fronting a Mexican Cartel or some shit here.
So douchey. He had to wear a neck brace because he had 3 ruptured vertebrae.
@@imaretromillenial1990 wasn't on about the fucking neckbrace you assclown. I was referring to the moustache. So check yourself before you comment next time. Dick.
LMAO
Roth sounds better if you dont look at him lol
That’s not Roth lol
