Dane, I passed this morning with only 1 fault overall and the tester said it was a pleasure. Been watching your videos a lot and found them so concise and helpful. Thank you!
I've been a licensed driver here in the US for a little over 30 years, but was worried about driving in Ireland for our recent trip. I found your videos on roundabouts and Street signs and watched and took notes. Your techniques and methods for roundabouts helped me immensely drive comfortably and with confidence in Ireland! Thank you so much for all your help, and I recommend your videos to all US drivers who are nervous about driving in Ireland!!
Hi Dane,I believe your videos contributed 98% to my passing my test this morning on my second attempt,I went through your review of my failed test script and watched all your videos again.reversing around the. Corner is by far my best video of u as I used to struggle with it but during my test when the curb disappeared from my mirrors I counted 2seconds just like u did in ur videos.I’m so grateful.I will keep your channel to be making references and improve even more. Thanks again.
Let me be yet another person to say I passed my test a couple days back on first attempt in part due to the clarity I got from watching these videos. Thanks Dane!
Dane, you're the man 👌your videos are the best. Watched a ton of them as they are so clear and helped me understand lots of different situations encountered when driving . I believe this helped a lot and I passed at the first attempt in Dublin 🙌 Thanks for your work 🙏
Hi Dane, thank you for your videos, they are really good! helped me to build more confidence in my driving. I passed my test today, third time lucky! Keep up the good work! I sent you a small contribution ;) . Andrea
Today I failed by one point as got 9 , grade 2 , 4 grade point I am slow to take left and right turn. Where is officially defined what speed should be . In straight make sense if 50 Kmph limit if safe drive 45+ but where is rule to go fast at left & right turn . It is weird & disappointed as lot of areas examinor can play as no government guidelines
You need to judge each road individually and adjust your speed to suit the conditions. If you don't know this then you still have work to do to build your knowledge and experience.
Hi Dane, im getting ready for my theory test , is your videos enough to be ready?? Is there any extra helpful materials or any specific questions i should be familiar with?
Hi, I'll be doing my test in Cork city and will have to go through very large and busy roundabouts which I find very difficult. Do you have any videos of dealing with these types of roundabouts please? If not can you please give me some advice. I'm finding your videos brilliant, thanks.
I don't really have a whole lot on big roundabouts but hope to some day soon. Concentrate on the curve, keep mirror checks quick and focus on the signs and markings. Practice as much as possible and get professional driving lessons.
Hi Dane, just a suggestion, you could do mock tests for your viewers, I have seen UK UA-camrs doing this and people find it very helpful. Look up DGN Driving School for example.
I know all about them but mock tests are not my thing, I prefer to teach skills and provide knowledge. Maybe I'll look into it in future but I don't really see what benefit people would get from me sitting in the passanger seat ticking boxes.
Dane hi, your videos are superb and I am studying them carefully. I will be doing my test in a 2010 Ford Mondeo which is the family car , will this come against me using a big car ? will the examiner look at the car and think " not the car for a learner to be using " . I feel pretty comfortable driving it but worry about what the examiner will think when he sees it
Hi Dane, can I ask a question? In the driving test, if I am driving on a straight road, there is a parked car in front of me. Do I need to turn on the turn-right indicator when I drive past it? Because I have to move slightly right to keep a safe distance to drive pass it. Thank you in advance.
all sounds good advice but when your a learner its hard to think of everything when your trying to look foward, use clutch, accelerator, brakes change grears, etc , ive had probably 22+ lessons & i still feel like its my first , i keep panicking when theres a car behind me or i have to stop as i can never get the gears right unless someone beside me is telling me whst to do, & everytime i do change gears i jump & also lose positioning, i just cant take it all in, at this stage id rather have heart surgery by a vet while awake with no painkillers
Everyone will learn at their own pace, one step at a time. Sounds like you need to go back to basics and stop trying to run before you can walk. Try meditation.
Hi Dane as we know about the second exit to the roundabout don't need to indicate until we exit the roundabout? How about if the second exit is after 12 o'clock? Do I need to indicate once I get in (right indicator) and out (left indicate as always)!!!
What do i do if i was asked to take a third exit on a roundabout but there is a temporary hazard down taht route. If i wait at the roundabout i could be sitting there for 3-5 minutes?
Probably but instead of trying to apply a rule strictly just deal with each road individually, for example you will need to check mirrors more if overtaking or changing lanes. Focus on the individual conditions you are facing.

@@DaneTygheletsdrive That's fair, I'd just be interested in seeing how a test goes in Ireland. Videos are very helpful anyway thank you.

I have to really loosen up my head to look everywhere? Before I come onto the roundabout?
Dane hi, your videos are superb and I am studying them carefully. Just focus on the driving, the only thing the Examiner cares about is your driving.

Are you moving out by much? Are you crossing the halfway line?
@@DaneTygheletsdrive What if I cross the halfway line. A very narrow road.
No harm to give a quick indication to the right then
all sounds good advice but when your a learner its hard to think of everything when your trying to look foward, use clutch, accelerator, brakes change grears, etc , ive had probably 22+ lessons & i still feel like its my first , i keep panicking when theres a car behind me or i have to stop as i can never get the gears right unless someone beside me is telling me whst to do, & everytime i do change gears i jump & also lose positioning, i just cant take it all in, at this stage id rather have heart surgery by a vet while awake with no painkillers

What do you mean by temporary hazard? If there's an issue you need to be careful but you also need to be practical.
Hi where I can send my scoreard for review? I failed today in Tallaght.
You can email me at danetyghe@gmail.com
Hi Dane would you let me know if I need to check left blind spot while getting off from roundabout??
Depends on the situation, if its a bigger roundabout and busy then maybe but just a quick sideways glance, at a regular roundabout no need.
Thank you. Do I need to check the left and centre mirror every 15 to 20 seconds while driving?
Probably but instead of trying to apply a rule strictly just deal with each road individually, for example you will need to check mirrors more if overtaking or changing lanes. Focus on the individual conditions you are facing.
It seems difficult to get license due to examiner!!!
It's not the examiners fault if you are not properly prepared, always remember that the harder you work the luckier you'll be.
